Love this park and it is well maintained. The Rangers are friendly and nice to see people working in the garden. There are always people there walking, biking or jogging. I think people walk there dogs should keep them close when walking by others. There dog might be friendly but people need to think of those who are afraid of dogs. I dont like hearing dont worry he doesnt bite and he is a good dog Some people are afraid of dogs regardless of what you say. I do have to say though,it doesnt happen that often. Most people are good pet owners here.

Just discovered this park. Absolutely love it. The visitors center is amazing with lots of local history. Volunteers are very friendly. If you have a 4 legged friend they can become a Bark Ranger. The bathrooms are clean and new.The playground is amazing. So many cool places for kids to climb and play. We love this place. And it’s very calm and relaxing. So many birds singing. Love it.

Wonderful place for both adults and kids. Park is very large and expansive and has several parts. Start with the visitor center - lots of history and very helpful rangers. From there you can bike, hike, roller skate along park’s long paths or head to the playground. It’s quite unique with wooden animal statues that kids can ride and play with. There are a lot of succulents planted everywhere with helpful tags explaining their purpose and how to care for them. We saw people launching rocket models in the large grass area, people biking around, having picnics (many very well maintained picnic tables all over the place). The only problem is finding shade - this place is quite flat and though they have planted trees they are still pretty small.Restrooms - plenty and clean.Parking - $6 entrance or outside on street.Stroller friendly - yes.

One of my favorite places to walk with the kids. It’s enclosed so they can safely ride their bikes, roller blade, & skate board Without worrying about cars. It’s a good 4 mile walk for me, sometimes we do it twice. I take my dog as well, they have doggy bag dispensers throughout the path, and a super clean bathroom. I just love coming here it’s literally one of my favorites places to walk.

A collaboration between the county of Santa Clara and the State of California, this public park is situated on 287 acres. The property was donated by Mr Walter Cottle and family. The idea here is to represent the farming past of this part of San Jose. There is a working farm, a Master Gardeners plot and Our City Forest. additionally there is a very nice visitor center, great childrens playground and many barbecue areas. Parking is $6 a vehicle or you can bike and ride there for free. Extensive pass around the perimeter of the park and through the recreational areas make for a great place to bike ride. Family friendly and flat although afternoons can be very windy. It is a farm that has become a new park so there is not a ton of shade trees but there are some shaded areas to picnic. #SanJose #BlossomHill #Park #FamilyFun

This is a beautiful park. It has huge, green grassy fields that are very well kept, and two playgrounds for young children. A large walking trail is along the perimeter of the farm, but you can also walk through the center. The park often holds community events to get people together. It’s very child and pet friendly.

Today my wife and went to Martial Cottle Park. It was our first time to the park. We went to do our walking/jogging on the routes. Our son and daughter in law told us this is the best place to walk. They recommended this Martial Cottle Park to us.We completed our walk/jogging today and we are both happy about it too. We also had questions about the park and we asked one of the workers. Jeremy C. answered all our questions and he was very pleasant. Jeremy’s knowledge of the history of Martial Cottle Park was very impressive and factual. Thank you Jeremy for taking the time to answer our questions and sharing your knowledge of Martial Cottle Park with us.Great place to go to for training, leisure and agricultural learning. Fun place to go to with lots of activities for everyone.

By far the best park in the Bay Area. One of the newest. Everything is in top notch shape. Very large grounds. Never feels crowded. Kids Play area is unique and modeled like a farm. Several picnic areas available and rest rooms are clean. The park hosts so many events each year. Just went to the VivaCalle SJ and Oct 6th is the Harvest Festival. These are some of the best free public events in the south bay. Parking is always $6 a day or $2/hr if visiting for shorter duration.

We attended a dogs on the barn walk for dogs and their owners. We took a beautiful still with a park ranger and other dog owners around the property, stopping every now and then to learn about the land and how dogs have been helpful there. Upon completion you get a certificate that your pup is a Bark Ranger, a metal tag for your collar and a bandana or poop bag holder. Really great experience for our 3 month old puppy!!

FYI.My wife and I parked our car along chynoweth right by the entrance to the park. We were there to take a walk my wife put her purse in the back of the car in the trunk and we locked the car and took a walk. When we returned the driver side window was smashed and the trunk door open and my wifes purse and wallet stolen... we secured the purse in the trunk but someone must have been watching and when we left for a walk they broke into the car. not a reflection on the park as its a beautiful place to walk but be careful when you park outside of the park.

One of the Santa Clara County Parks, this one is a former privately owned, now public land owned farm in the middle of the built up suburbia around it. I walked the perimeter trail around it and it was a pleasant enough neighborhood walk, looking out over the field being cultivated. The interior of the park has central grass, BBQ, bathroom facility areas and small educational center about the history of the agriculture in the valley. Decent signage, clean, good for families. Event space can be rented out for larger gatherings and picnics. The UC Master Gardeners make use of a small plot for demonstration and Q&A gardens. Our City Forest also uses space for cultivating trees for their program to plant around the city and educate on urban landscaping. Not as much of a get away feel as many of the parks in the county system since it is right in a neighborhood, but it does provide a nice walking trail with close access for use.

New neighborhood park with a history and agricultural theme. Opened in 2015, but parts of the park are still under construction, with no word as to when it will be finished. The park has several nice, clean, picnic sites to choose from. Some are for groups only and require a reservation, some are first come first serve. There is a childrens play area called Uncle Montys Discovery Farm (named for one of the family members who used to live on the farm), and it is next to an expansive green lawn area, complete with stone amphitheater. I havent found a very accurate way to measure just how many miles of trail i have walked in my time there, but i would guess its a little more than 3 miles, all together. There will be more once the back portion of the park opens! Looking forward to it!On the weekends, their visitor center/ history museum is open to the public and the park rangers and docents give at least 1 tour every Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine. There is a $6 flat fee for parking for the day, otherwise walking in and the tours are free! The park rangers have said that the goal is to have most of, if not all, of the park open by 2020. Looking forward to it!

Like all the Santa Clara County parks, they charge for vehicle admission, but if you walk or bike in, it is free. There is some street parking outside the park, but take care in crossing Snell even at the light. Traffic can be heavy and the light by the park entrance is fairly new, so some people are not used to it yet. This park was previously a farm and it still has that feel to it, with grapes growing on the fences and farmland on both sides. There are a lot of paved paths through the park and a jogging/biking trail around the perimeter and past the fields. There are plenty of little areas with benches or picnic tables, some of which are available for reservations for events as well as a small play area with a slide and some things to climbTheres a Halloween/Harvest festival here in the autumn and other small events throughout the year.
