I love this shop! You can get some great finds here. I left with a couple of pair of earrings and a camera! I was surprised to see that they have vintage cameras. The clerk told me that they have a camera guy that comes about once a month with new cameras. I now know where to go to add cameras to my collection :)

What better to commemorate my 100th review than to review this awesomeness. What a way to see CA! it was like seeing DTLA in a whole different way. I mean the buildings alone are super cool but to fill them with local art just made it so much more interesting.

This is a somewhat small art museum. The items they have on display are somewhat quirky in a good way. Your are challenged to stretch a little (not too much) to see/feel the artistic content. We enjoyed our visit. They have a particularly good museum store with quality items you wont see in most other places. The jewelry was particularly well done.

I can understand this museum may be a let down for out of town tourists due to its small exhibition, but it is really informative. Could use a bit more interactive design to engage visitors.

Decent museum with some interesting pieces. Its definitely a bit small for the price ($8), and the merch out front is violently over-priced. Its not a bad stop if youre bored, though.

Great museum, lived how cozy small and to the point it was. I saw the machines exhibit and it was very cool. They have a tinker lab which was cool, game of chess with nuts and bolts and othefmaterials. Only thing is there was a employee just watching us the whole time to see if we were touching the case, which was a bit awkward, but I really reccomend it

I love this little museum in Dogpatch. You can take the T line of the Muni Metro to close to their front door. They have a nice gift shop and this year they hosted Style 18, a wonderful wearable art event with around 40 vendors selling jewelry and wearable art. But also check out their current are exhibits!

Its a very unique place to visit. Lots of arts and crafts, videos throughout the museum explaining how wool are use in soo many ways. Arts and crafts hand on workshops. The employees were all nice and friendly. They welcome you in and smile. Thats what makes it a nice environment. No one following you around, you can sit, relax, watch the videos, and read the printouts of everything they have in there. I really enjoyed that MUSEUM.

The gift shop is great. The museum is less so. When we went, there was just a small exhibition on pavilions. Not extremely engrossing. Luckily we went on a free day- it would have been annoying to spend 8 bucks on the adult entrance ticket.

Really fantastic gift shop. However, given the $8 price tag, I expected a lot more content in the exhibits. I am a slow museum-goer (i.e., I take my time with exhibits and like to read the materials), but it took me only about 15 min to see the entire museum. The exhibits were interesting just very bare bones, so I left wanting more. If it were free, or more like $3, I would’ve been ok with it.

I wished the museum had more stuff to show, considering how pricey and extensive the gift shop is. The exhibits were really nice though and the industrial neighborhood had a couple hipster cafes nearby that were nice to work in. Really nice staff in the museum, nice entrance and benches to sit and rest in front of the museum, when it is nice outside

Have dropped in a few times when in the hood, and have purchased a couple of gifts. Its a pleasant place to browse. Contains a moderate mishmash of household and personal items, designed by small house designers, which I believe are mostly local to the bay area. Prices vary - some items are priced equal or better than their mass market equivalent and some are at designer prices. In particular I would recommend their collection of full size shopping bags that collapse into their own tiny zipped pouch, compare well in price to similiar products on Etsy, Amazon, MOMA, etc, and most importantly had unique TASTEFUL patterns and colors.I wouldnt call it a museum - more like if the MOMA store gave 30-50% of its space over to installations and displays. Though they also have various craft/arts events and programs.

This small, pleasant museum recently re-located to the rapidly-growing Dogpatch neighborhood. The location is excellent, handy to chocolate, ice cream, cheese, and the Illinois Street bike lane. Coming from the Mission? Take the 22 Fillmore. Coming on CalTrain? Get off at the 22nd Street station.I was here last week for an extremely well-catered event. This place is big enough to accommodate your event and cozy enought everyone will feel at home
