We came to kill time and play around on some the arcade games. They have all the classic bangers from back in the day as well as the modern games. All the machines are in mint condition and the button and joysticks work as well with no issue. We appreciate the employee going around and sanitizing the surfaces as everyone played

I was impressed by Diversions! This is a very fun little arcade; my 10-year-old and I both had a great time. There is a good mix of retro and newer games to play, and they even have Guitar Hero! Finally, I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the entire place (down to the carpet) and the gentleman on duty diligently sanitized each game. Neat little hidden gem, we will be back.

Been going to diversions for many years. Easily two decades. Its sad that there is only one left in town now but I always have such a wonderful time there. I hope this place is here to stay and isnt going anywhere. I would love to take my kids there one day whenever I do have kids that is

Me and my husband love it there. We have been going there since my kids were little. It always reminds me of good memories with my 2 older kids. It is still fun because me and my husband went on a date night and both decided to go there. I love the old and new games. It still a chill environment.

The 80s are back! This place is the best kept secret in San Antonio. The games are awesome and the prices are cheap. I will definitely be returning. The staff is welcoming. They sanitize the arcades after every game play.

I’ve been coming to Diversions since I was a kid. I’ve always loved it. Lots of fun to be had, with the old school games, some of the newer ones. Used to come with my Dad, now I come with my wife still. Great spot. Kinda nostalgic for me, but straight up fun.

Ive been here twice and Im already in love. Besides the fact that they have DDR, which is incredibly rare these days, the staff are freaking awesome! Both times Ive been theyve been super sweet to my kiddos so that me and my friend can enjoy ourselves a little bit more. Priceless!

Lived in a neighborhood close by, my friends and I would skateboard over to play some games. That was back in 2002. 18 years later and my daughter loves coming here. The wife, daughter, and I frequent Diversions and will continue as long as it is open. The owner is super friendly ,interactive and recognizes regulars. Another staff member on duty was cleaning and sanitizing all the machines.Check this place out. Straightforward arcade fun.

Just had our sons 11th bday party here... BY FAR THE BEST MONEY EVER SPENT. We definitely got way more then what we payed for. No kids complained... Parents enjoyed themselves, even the grandparents got down on there games. The owner hooked it up with 100$ worth of free games not only for my son and his friend but for us.... The parents... Awesome place if a bit small but that isnt a bad thing.It is chill with a mix of games old and new, with many you cant find at others such has metal slugThey dont sell drinks or snacks that I remember, so be prepared, but its very clean due to that. They have a small restroom and a water fountain.Overall a nice place with friendly unobtrusive staff. I just wish they sold merchandise behind the counter, souvenirs and whatnot.

Its an arcade!!! There is a good variety of old and new arcades, along with my favorite..air hockey! Decent prices ...had fun will definitely be going back.

Its a relly nice place i got my firts win there they do take care of the place especially right now with the corona virus and its not that packed.

Weve been going here for years. We recently went during non busy hours. Masks are required. The staff was friendly and cleaned everything after being played or touched by us. Theyre working hard when you go, so maybe be sure you want to play something before you touch it. If the workers see this, I appreciate the hard work you guys were doing when our family went out. Lol

This place never disappoints, the service is amazing and friendly.Diversions was clean and all the games were in working condition.My wife and I had a wonderful date night and we plan to bring the kids. Best part, its locally-owned and operated.

The staff is doing a great job wiping down games and keeping the place safe. When I visited, everyone was wearing masks and adhering to social distancing.

Idk if it’s still open amidst Covid but the owners did everything they could to keep the place sanitary and welcoming when they reopened.I can’t imagine having a small business right now, but they did their best to adapt especially considering how many things there are to touch in the store.This place has always been an exceptional hang out spot, me and my dad have spent many times here and he spent many times here before I was even around.If you’re looking for a pleasant arcade, stop on by.

Amazing for solo, group hangouts, and even dates.Has a soda machine that takes Bills, change, and even game coins & an ATM to pull money and the employees can split your bills too. (1$= 4 coins) wide variety of machines. They even refund coins if the machine eats them(guitar hero froze up and he restarted it and gave us 2 free plays on top of the one we lost :,^] )With it being open late too, it cant be beat for a good All Ages spot to go and have fun!

This is a decent arcade with an okay selection. Twenty dollars in tokens will last about an hour. Considering the alternatives are places like Main Event I prefer the low key nature of Diversions.Maybe its rose colored glasses, but the Diversions of yore were better. Unfortunately this location has a significant amount of space given to skill games. I get that they probably make more than arcade games so its a minor quibble.

Ive been coming here since I was a kid and I still take my kids here at least twice a month. Never boring always something for the kids and old school games for the adults if you like. I buy $20 worth of tokens (100 tokens)and let them run around playing for a good hour while I sit and relax playing a game myself

Small but nice gets cleaned every time someone uses machines guy walks around with spray bottle and wipes... so Im confident I wont catch anything...

What a wonderful place! We went for the first time this weekend. The kids loved it, and the hospitality was amazing! We all won many prizes and the cost for games was unbeatable! We will definitely be back.

Great video game selection, feels like an old school arcade. Prizes rotate pretty frequently. My son and I love the claw machines.

I have nothing but good things to say about this arcade. The games really took me back to my childhood. The atmosphere felt really cool.I really enjoyed the prize games, especially the claw machine with all the plushy food looking things. The fact that you get 100 tokens for $20 is absolutely awesome. It lasted me about an hour which was perfect for me. Overall, a really great place to chill, or clear your mind (especially at midnight)

Diversions is a low cost place to have lots of fun. I always enjoy playing DDR and Guitar Hero III as if I were a kid again. The owner is friendly and takes good care of the place. Very clean.

Games are still 50 cents for the most part and the games are updated to what is currently in. The staff is super friendly and helpful when needed. Theres an ATM and they give change if needed.

A genuine retro quarter arcade. No resturaunt, No admission fees, No tickets. Just walk in and play some games. Not for everyone, but its got a charm thats hard to find these days.

Fun arcade, go when there is nothing else to do. It would be nice if they had food or drinks but other than that its probably the only original arcade left in town. Half the arcade are win a prize games the other are actual arcade games. The claw games dont all work. but they havent adjusted it to.

I love this place. I never knew about it until my husband brought me a few years ago when we started dating. I definitely say this arcade is a hidden jewel in this huge city! The staff is always so friendly and helpful and they keep everything clean and all the games running. I would recommend this arcade for anyone ages 3 and up.

This place was awesome. My brother and I found this place looking for some classic games. We found them, and the have a really great Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for 4. Fun. We blew our cash there and had a great time.

Fun and cheap gaming, no cards accepted but they have an atm and can break for change. Must visit for nostalgia and fun.

One of the managers/ owners gave us 40 free tokens. I had not been to a game room since i was a kid. I had a good time.

Managers or owners, forgot to ask, were even stopping by to make sure people were enjoying their time. Only reason 4 VS 5 is the Buck Shot game ripped me off 12 coins but it could always be worse. Such a great time for the young ones. We took our daughter and nephews here. They all had a great time dropping tokens in the machines and playing the games. Everything here from the full sit you backside down inside a video arcade game to air hockey tables to crane games. Good times and find memories.

Well I love it not because its the only arcade left but because the lil arcade has just enough to spend 20 and be in there for an hour plus. Its awesome. Definitely cone check it out.

Always a good time at this place. They use tokens here instead of a preloaded card, which is a plus from me. There are games for every generation. Of course, there are also some air hockey tables, dance dance revolution, and skill based games. They have awesome prizes in the skill games that range from Kindle Fires to posters on the wall. They have cute plush toys as well! I have been collecting Pac-Man plushies over the last few visits. I recommend checking this place out.I came on Thanksgiving and Christmas and I am glad they were open! Some families love to game ;)

My first time there and it was awesome! All games are in working condition and a variety of games I love. Some of them from the 80s but its exciting to get to play them now. Its also a very clean game room. I WILL be going back.

Arcade nostalgia at its finest. This spot has a variety of machines with late hours so if you get the itch to play some House of the Dead mosey on in because they are probably open. Lots of prize games with chances to win drone,s Michael Kors bags and tablets (people do win those just check the Diversions facebook). Fun place to host parties and they have weekly specials that include free tokens. If youre here with the military during the holidays and cant go home or have a small family they are open during the holiday season Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.

Recently visited here with my wife and 10 year-old son. We had a great time! I remember coming here in high school and college. It’s still the same! All of the games were in good working order. Only one machine took our tokens. The staff was quick to give us a credit. The place was clean. The other customers were friendly or kept to themselves. Bring cash. The ATM has a steep surcharge—like $3.95. All-in-all it was a great place to play arcade games!

I adore this place with a pasion its like an arcade from the 80s but with modern games. 20 bucks gets you 120 tokens and each game or prize matching is 1-4 tokens most cost 2 tokens though. They stay open til 2am and I just live it if I could give it more stars I would. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
