This is by far the best acting school in San Antonio! I am from Los Angeles and I was visiting San Antonio to see family. Had two auditions on self tape. I went to Performing Arts San Antonio and filmed the best self tapes I ever filmed! I got call backs for both shows! Shout out to the best San Antonio acting teacher Paul Tinder

I’ve been working with Paul and Vaughn at PASA for about a year now and it’s been one of the best experiences of my acting career. They’ve helped me improve my craft in so many ways and have given me so much work and confidence. They truly care about everyone who works with them and know how to put on a great show. Couldn’t ask for better directors.

Ive been coming here for classes for about a year now. This place has the best welcoming environment I could ever ask for. I have more confidence and am able to come out of my shell because of the way Mr. Paul teaches. Hes very encouraging and makes me think about my choices as an actor in a different way. Ive been to a show here as well, and I very much enjoyed it! This is a great place to come if you want to explore acting or take in a show. I highly recommend doing both!! :-)

I have had the good fortune of training at PASA and with Paul Tinder. His Mastering the Audition classes and Adult Acting classes have given me tools I need to grow as an actor and take on more challenging roles. To include starring roles in feature films and working on major studio TV shows. Paul is fond of saying We have been where you want to go. His strong on screen resume and experience is a valuable asset to you at any stage of your journey.The amazing thing is he identifies each persons talents and the things they need help with. Every time you train at PASA, you can get better. It does not matter if you are just starting or very experienced. I’m currently taking the 10 week adult acting class and I have to say I’m having such a wonderful time learning here! Paul is very attentive towards every student and has a vibrant personality you can’t help but gravitate towards. The atmosphere of the theater is very welcoming! I definitely recommend giving this place a visit!

Ms. Vaughns treatment of my daughter was horrifying. My daughter had been performing on stage for four years when we came to PASA, working with a variety of directors including some that had worked in New York acting schools. She had over 15 plays under her belt. With three weeks left in rehearsals my daughter no longer felt comfortable going to the theater by herself (at age 14). At one point telling my daughter in front of the entire cast that she was the biggest casting mistake shes ever made and that she had never been more disappointed. The public shaming seemed harsh and inappropriate for an environment that was meant to be educational and supportive. I would not recommend this theater for children.

As a viewer... I love it; Watching ones imagination come to life through the actors. As a student... I love it even more; the chance to meet new faces, act with amazing people, and make new friends. PASA has made me a better student, a better son, a better friend, a better actor, a better person all around.

Paul and Vaughn are two of the most inviting people Ive gotten to work with. Not only will they push you to trust yourself and become a better performer, but its almost like joining a second family. In the short time Ive been at PASA, my performances have improved and my bookings have greatly increase by utilizing what I learned under Pauls teachings. I highly recommend this theater to anyone even interested in trying acting.

Great place to learn great techniques and have fun while your doing it. My daughter enjoyed her time while at PASA. Paul and Vaughn are so knowledgeable,creative abd inspiring you will really appreciate the experience.

Mrs.van is not very nice and is very strict but there was this one of Disney camp with two teachers one of them was really nice and she was my teacher for like the Nobel prize play but she got kicked out because she was to nice but I really like her

Absolutley the most amazing place for young minds to grow. I take my stepdaughter up here and when i see her face because of the fun and education, it makes me forget of all the issues of life and its about her. Her recent performance was superb, and seeing how this establishment helped, shows the type of nurturing provided here. The staff truely care about the development of all attending. Placing yourself or your children in this program builds confidence, MANNERs, respect, discipline, and fulfills dreams. I will continue to take my daughter here because it is hard to find an establishment/business that cares so much that my values at home are carried on there. Thank you so much for the amazing time that she has had and to the future with PASA.

Ms. Vaughn and Mr. Tinder are amazing. They run a top notch theatre company, which includes a variety of diverse productions. They are both caring and supportive of emerging actors. My son participated in a month long Summer camp, in which he was exposed to numerous opportunities to expand his acting skills. I loved how both teachers engaged and challenged students to grow. PASA is a gem to the San Antonio area and I wish I could give them more than 5 stars because they definitely earned it. Their passion and committement is evidence in every aspect of their theatre.

This is an amazing place, Vaughn is my vocal coach and I absolutely love her. She is very professional and therefore knows the tools I need in order to understand what Im singing and how to do it the right way. Paul is the funnies man on earth and I just love them both!. I can never wait for my next class, I just honestly love this place and I see myself growing every day as a vocalist thanks to Ms. Vaughn. Thank you Vaughn!!! :)

I cannot begin to tell you how helpful Paul has been for my son in these beginning stages of his career. Pauls talent and experience has been a true gift for us and his genuine nature in teaching was key to my sons success in his first competition. We look forward to training with PASA more and highly encourage anyone who is considering acting to utilize their expertise and knowledge. A few of us from SPS DGTL came out to see Paul Tinder for help with public speaking/acting as a professional development exercise. It was time very well spent! We learned so much, and much faster than we ever could have on our own. Highly recommend to local businesses interested in professional development opportunities for their employees!

The place is a dump . I thought I had walked into the wrong place. The owner had been rude to me and my family. Waste of money and they treat their cast with no respect :/

Friendly staff but very disorganized. We had seated tickets on the front row of a play and arranged for a babysitter. Turns out the online seating chart is different from seating arrangement, or that theyve double booked our seats, and we were asked to sit at the very back row. We heard other people complaining about seating issues.No thanks, we wont be coming back.

We bought tickets for Jane Eyre. Went to the theatre and it was closed. I have contacted the theatre several times now. I have been promised that they would send me my money back for 4 tickets and comp tickets. It has been over a month and I have received nothing. Bad business people.

Most of the reviews I have read about PASA are from parents, and thats awesome, but Im here to tell you about this place as an adult, and a student. When I first looked into PASA, thats what I wanted to see, so hopefully this will help any teens/adults that want to check this out.I love PASA. I have gone to three sessions ( two six week ones, and one eight week one with a showcase), and I dont regret one single moment. I go to the Wednesday class with Paul Tinder. Paul explains things in a fun way, and in a way that is easy to follow. You heard about low pressure teaching? This is no pressure. You get to have fun, and learn the craft all at the same time!When I came into the first class, I was my shy, bottled up and closed off self.. by the end of the first session, I learned how to open up, and realize that its ok to do so. PASA is a comfortable environment with friendly students and teachers. You WILL learn in this class. Every session you take is different as well, so you get a wide range of how things work, and how to bring out the character, and the truth of the moment.Paul Tinder and Vaugn Taylor are the real deal. You can look up their resumes on IMDB. They are industry professionals, and have actually done good work within it. They know what they are doing, they know how to get you there too. You get good, sound teaching, from a Pro from L.A., and with these classes being less pricy than other classes in town? What are you waiting for?Im not a google user Im leaving this so you know who I am. You will probably even see me in the class itself too. So quit debating.. if you want to learn how to act, or even if you just want to quit being shy and know how to break out of your shell.. then this is where you need to be.If youre concerned about being too old? Im 32, and by far not the oldest person taking the class. I know I said it already, but this is a very good place, with good, supportive people in it. Youre cheating yourself by not taking at least one session with PASA. They even let you audit a class for free just to see how it all works! So, what do you have to lose?-Michael Seale
