Best experience in my life. Seeing and hearing live Tesla coils is just phenomenal. Videos do not do any Justice. You have to go and see these work of art in person. The museum had alot to offer too. The tour guy was very knowledgeable and informative. I know a lot about computers but making a trip down here is the best learning experience ever.
Very awesome and excellent museum!! So many community activities for kids! Lots of exciting exhibits for my two little ones who enjoyed it. My son was inspired and wants to build a robot after visiting the museum. Were very excited about seeing phase 2!!
This is a gem of a museum in transition located at 102 Mabry Drive in San Antonio (former Kelly Air Force Base). It’s only open on Saturdays from 10 AM to 5 PM. I was impressed by the tour guide who was able to give detailed information on the many of the artifacts. They range from very old light bulbs to four operational “Tesla Coils”. There is a rich history which involves people from San Antonio that were integral parts of technical revolution in computer technology. It’s well worth a visit and it’s free. Enjoy the well air conditioned environment and the intellectual stimulation for many age groups!
This place is really cool! Sadly I didnt get the Tesla coil demonstration, my whole reason for going, they do it at intervals I think and stop some time before they close. But theres some interesting stuff there.
Pretty small, a bunch of really cool things but they’re just things because there re no plaques telling you about anything... stayed maybe 10 mins.
Very interesting, blast from the past. Fun for the kiddos, work in progress!
Great trip into science and technology history . If nothing else go to see the Tesla coil show.
Great little museum full of interesting technologies and history. Me and my family loved it!
The staff was friendly and definitely knowledgeable. We had a blast and our younger children and nephews did too. This is a must for those in the San Antonio area.
This was an awesome visit. The Tesla coil exhibit was great.
This is one of SAs hidden gems. The museum is really cool and the staff are very knowledgeable. We had an amazing time!
Magnificent collection of technological progress through the years. A must visit!
Because its very cool and you get to learn different things
The museum is pretty awesome, they have a lot of antique artifacts from the first patented Edison light bulbs to Testa coils to that make musical sounds. The museum is still developing but I really see a lot of potential to make a great impact for the future generations to come to learn about the past devices that helped us get the modern smart phones or long distance communication devices that we have today!! Pretty cool place, I would definitely come back and bring my family and friends to see all the interesting stuff from the past! I highly recommend it.
Very cool place to visit and see old tech. The Tesla coil show is awesome.
The tour was amazing and the staff was so inspiring. They told us that anything was possible and follow your dreams. I would definitely recommend going to this place.
A real treasure trove of Techs history. Volunteers bring their personal knowledge to the exhibits. One new bright spot is an Amateur Radio demonstration station!
Very cool museum! My family loved it. So much history and interesting things.
This is a wonderful little gem hiding in the old chapel on the former Kelly AFB, now known as Port San Antonio. I highly recommend this to anybody, local or visitor. Some of the historical artifacts here are very hard to find elsewhere, such as Datapoint micro computers from the dawn of the Computer Age. There is even a pair of 10-for tall Tesla coils! Im planning to take our daughter there as often as we can, and take as many of her friends as she can round up.
My 2 year-old was terrified by the Tesla coils but enjoyed the rest. My 7 year-old got to be a light socket! I was told that a new retro tech section will be opening and I hope to provide some stuff for it.
Would be great to see more information about exhibits. Most of it was left wondering what it was or what it does... still great place to take children and show green what technology used to be

The place is not very big but has lots of interesting things to see. Tesla demo is awesome. Great for all ages. Worth going.
I love this place! All the old tech and the classes they offer are fun for everybody. They even have tesla coils! How cool!? Totally nerded out here, but its seriously amazing
I had never heard of this museum before but found that it was a pleasant and interesting find. If you are a Super Mario Bros fan, you dont want to miss the Tesla Capacitor demonstration. It is intriguing for the young and young at heart!
Its a cool quick visit, but not worth a whole day-trip! Also, many of the artefacts on display didnt have any sign or explanation as to what they are or were used for, so the kids didnt get much out of it. The Tesla show was crazy cool.
Great tour, history of Satx
Exhibits arent marked well, or at all in many cases. The place seemed more a collection of old things from some warehouse than a thoughtfully planned out experience. Since they only ask for a donation, the price was right. If youre into random ancient computer and assorted other aged electronics this is your destination. If you expect to come away knowing more than when you arrived youre probably going to be disappointed.
Awesome artifacts and smart folks to conversate with. Thank you, children enjoyed it!
It could be better.
Interesting history. Technology throughout history. New museum opening soon.
Awesome collection. My son and I loved it. Its not a big place so the tour is over too soon but still great.
Small, but great displays and very informative! The Tesla coils were awesome!
Awesome place for education, great service, kid friendly environment.
Cant touch anything in the actual museum but therere a few things you can interact with in a separate room.
It was sort of empty but it was really cool things to see
Awesome display of some old history and a very well educated tour guide that knew all of the history and more.
Great place lots of potential. Hopefully it gets funded needed to be a major museum.
This place has so much potential. I cant wait to see it full of young energetic minds.
So much fun! Everyone there is so knowledgeable
My kids loved it and it was very interesting
Cool items, not enough interactable objects
Nice old technologies - bring your young at heart to see how it all begin.
AMAZING! Cant wait to see whats to come
Fun and free
