Beautiful architecture and tremendous history! This wonderful temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is great representation of the church and it’s members. The missionaries were extremely helpful and dedicated people. Many were actually from other countries, how amazing! The grounds are just as beautiful with flowers and green trees everywhere and they are extremely well kept and groomed! Love this place!

A beautiful building on the outside and its equally as beautiful on the inside!!! This is a special and sacred house of God. This is an amazing building and is one of the many ways we can come closer to Heavenly Father, and deeply feel peace and the Holy Ghost. Hope the construction is fast and we can go back there soon!!! Its a must see while in Salt Lake, even though its under construction.

The Temple Square visitors center is such an amazing place. The sister missionaries are engaging and uplifting. The light is in their eyes. For many it’s easy to reach the depth of their knowledge about the temple, tabernacle or assembly hall trivia, the depth of their sincere love for the Savior is hard to reach. The buildings are amazing. The exhibits are intriguing. But the sisters and the love and spirit they convey are magnificent. I loved this picture and wish I could buy a print of it.

Theres a window into the construction site where you can see the progress on the temple. Also the Christmas lights and some of the Christmas decorations are up, ready to be turned on for Christmas. I wasnt sure if they were going to decorate this year with much of the square being closed sure to the construction and Covid. But it looks like they are.

Splendid architecture and this place gives a good insight in to the Mormon culture. I would recommend spending time in the adjacent Mormon museum which explains the origins of their travels west in to Utah in 1800’s. I tried booking their tour in their HQ but the slots were fully booked but an elderly volunteer at the entrance gave me a brief intro and was pleasant to interact with.Take your time, walk around the temple and lovely gardens with bronze sculptures. Always loved their missionary zeal when I came upon Mormons from US in Bangalore, they even took public buses and always travelled in pairs. Unlike other religion missionaries, they are not pushy and calmly explain their tenets and faith.

Of course not everyone is allowed inside the temple but you can roam around the place for its beauty and architecture. Located in the center of downtown, this place depicts the Mormon culture and religion. You can park in the city center mall and walk around the place. Prayer hall is open to all which is in-fact the most beautiful prayer halls I have ever seen. It’s grandeur is amazing.

To really learn about the LDS Church, skip right to reading the CES Letter. I was a member for 45 years and attended weekly. I learned more about the LDS Church in 60 minutes of reading the CES Letter than I had in all my combined years of attendance. Also, they wont let nonmembers in the temple.... but you can learn everything you want to know about Mormonism on Wiki: Temple endowment, garments, polygamy, etc.

If you are in Salt Lake City near the years end, make sure to visit the Temple in the evening. It does a grand light show that brings out the magnificence of the Temple. On New Years Eve, they also offer a free musical celebration featuring well known musical groups including the Childrens Choir. The seasonal Birth of the Holy Baby installation, though, is somewhat underwhelming. So is the History exhibition. (The Temple is no museum. So, do not expect dispassioned discourse. Still, the architectural and engineering achievements offer no shortage of inspirations.) Other than these deductions, this could be a five-star tourism attraction.

The most beautiful building in all of Utah, reflecting the very best in workmanship of the 19th century and the high ideals of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Although only practicing Mormons are permitted inside, there is a nice miniature showing the interior of the temple in a vistor center just south of the temple.
