The park is unique in more than one accept. One: The riverside river runs through it. that adds a dynamic feature of water sound and motion that complements the other life-full features of the park. Two: The train passes adjacent to the park, crossing over a beautiful, massive masonry overhead bridge. A feature that blends perfectly with all the other elements of the park to create a one of a kind ambiance of romance and nostalgia combined.
We go to this park to play disc golf and love it. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is that they have one restroom and its not always open on weekends and think thats because its located on the far side of the park close to where the homeless people camp out. They dont bother anyone and most wouldnt know they are there unless you throw your disc down in the area and see their camp. We always keep the car doors locked and the main parking lot is way on the other side of the park. Still enjoy playing disc golf here.
Cool place to play disk golf, park to ride your bike on the Santa Ana trail. Important that you hide valuables and lock your doors. the campers in the tent city by the river are always looking. If you like disk golf check this place out no cost to play or park and its 18 holes. Plenty of shade for hot days and lots of grass.
Disc course was in great shape with fun basket placements. Cant wait to play the back 9 nxt time!
Relaxing nice park to spend time at. Activities like disk golfing, horseshoes or BBQ. Fly a kite , go hike a bit near The narrow parts of the Santa Ana river. Or do nothing at all. I like to go there to get away and watch the trains pass over the river on the bridge.
Theres a full 18 hole disc golf course there and the grass is mowed well. Bike & walking/jogging trails are clean, but the restrooms & any water faucets for drinking are closed due to virus. Horseshoe pits are just that THE PITS! Uneven(not leveled) and the spacing is way too far. The ever present homeless people is a little disturbing. I wouldnt want any female I know walking the park by herself unless she has combat training, gun or a few pit bulls or Rottweilers for protection.
A great place! Peaceful and relaxing. Well kept lawns for disc golf.
I really love this Park, plus their is a river next to it with a cold and warm stream
Nice place to chill with family and friends. Although not the cleanest water but there are hidden spots that do have clean water
Good to get out and see the community...... Come and enjoy life & nature.....
Great place to get out to the outdoors beautiful might be a lil trash left over but nothing ten minutes of work cant fix
This park is really sprawling and bare aside from the occasional tree studding the hilly landscape. Places to sit in the shade were therefore scarce, even though there werent many people at the park. To top it off, the bathrooms on the west side were absolutely abhorrent and should be quarantined as they are clearly a public health hazard. There were some nice views of the surrounding mountains, however. I didnt make it down to the Santa Ana River, so maybe things are more interesting over there.
We go their for Disc Golf, its great, lots of trees and lots of activities at the park from Zumba to riding a bike to play Disc Golf.
Walking trails..nature walks..fresh air..squirrels..nice river to cool down in the summer. Peaceful environment.
Beautiful park, very green rolling hills. Make a note, no playground equipment.
I would like to see easier to access restrooms.
Played Frisbee golf. They have a great 18 hole course
In has a very nice disc golf course
Brand new disc golf course installed by the city with input from locals. The park has picinic benches with charcoal barbeques. There are horseshoe pits and poles for sand volleyball if you bring your own net. The park is right along a wash with homeless encampments on one side and train tracks on The other. The disc golf course has potential but there are no tee pads and they are only marked with a grading construction feather. You will not have a clue how to advance from hole to hole without an experienced guide, hence the 4 stars. This course has great potential when it grows up and needs a club sponsor!!! If this was helpful please give me a like.
My first time here. Whats a very nice park. Lots of beautiful walkways. Backs up to a river that is so luscious and green with palm trees and bushes and everything. Back side of the whole thing the homeless population has decided to move in
Nice views and fun frolf course. Unfortunately there was a good amount of trash and empty cans.
Such a beautiful park! Been going there for over 20 years! I grew up 2 blocks down! Pet friendly, kid friendly and family fun friendly.
Its a decent park. I like that they have a few picnic tables, but they could really use a restroom or two, drinking fountains, and some BBQ grills, like most parks have.
Its very quiet, people are friendly, its beautifulPlaces to Barbecue nice place to take long walks, read, study, play frisbee golf, run, relaxCoyote postings. YOU CAN BRING YOUR DOGS JUST PLEASE KEEP THEM ON LEASH AND PICK UP THEIR POOP. The ONLY MINUS IS NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS. Just found this park a couple weeks ago. NIce place to see GODS handiwork first hand. Hope these comments help. Have a Blessed Day.
I like this part cuz it has the bike trail at access to the river bottom
Nice Place 2 Kick Back
Nice park but no bathrooms that I know of.
Great place for frisbee/disc golf
Really fun disc golf course!
Its Del Taco. Its good n cheap!
One of the best for families we love it and go every weekend
Really great disc golf course
It was beautiful to have dinner in the park with an awesome view of Mt Rubidoux.
Nice park to visit! They need to put in some BBQ grills, and a restroom closer to the parking areas would be great. Other than that, its a great place to visit.
Its clean but the restroom is not always open.
Very well kept just beautiful to see and no crowds!
Nice park for outdoor activities the river is not really clean smell very bad some parts you can see a lot of garbage there but the section close to the bridge is good for a shower and picnic
Come here often 2-3 times a month. This is a nice park and has a fun 18 hole discgolf course. No child playground which is kind of a letdown as well as the large homless community on the north side of the park along the bike path and river. Smells bad near that area and is flooded with trash from the people there. This is becoming a gradually larger gathering of homless people wich is a big issue to me personally and seems both unsafe and unsanitary for families, especially ones with children. Wish the city would do something about it.
One of my favorite courses...im from buena park so its quite a drive to go play but worth it...its definitely a challenging course....BEWARE of the hole that plays next to santa ana river....easy to lose a disc and when u look for it u might end up in some crazy persons campsite....a lot of weirdos living in their....otherwise highly recommend!!!!
Been coming here since I was a teenager... Enjoy the great out doors while u can....
My secret be spot taggers try to come by but I send them packing
Played disc golf there, Super Fun!
Its a very nice place and clean
Cool park they have a (frolph) disk frisbee golf
Too many vagrants! Be careful!
Love this park relaxing not too Many people no play area for kids but trees and grass lots of shade. Also has a bathroom open most of the time. Also there is always landscapers there making it look pretty.
Peaceful not to crowded
Went to this park on a Sunday afternoon, the park was busy with families enjoying the park.Parking was not hard to find plenty of it was available when I arrived. I came to this park to run on the Santa Ana River Trail that runs threw the park. This trail is not a good running trail it is mainly running up and down hills the entire time. The trail has access to the river but the entrance is covered in trash and debris left by all the people who visit the park. The trail is also home to the homeless that live in the overgrown brush by the river. The trail also has a very strong smell of stink.A good thing about the trail has some cool bridges and massive pipes that cross the trail.
I was there early morning, gates still locked even though it was after sunrise. Place looks nice and well taken care off. Lots of green areas and next to a river
Its my Sanctuary. My Safe Haven. Its the place I go To when I need To geT away from everything and everyone. its where I can keep myINSANITY(a.k.a STRANGELY Unique, Creatively Amazing Personalities)from becoming like everybody elseSANITY(a.k.a NORMAL)
Beautiful Park a hidden gem
Great place to spend with family.
New disc golf course, very mellow park. Some homeless here never had a problem.
Beautiful clean park with a lot of parking. Great place to take the family. Bathrooms on site.
Very nice park, hidden from the city. If you driving too fast you will miss the entrance. Perfect for flying kites it just having a picnic. No play ground but it does have a bike trail and an entrance to the river bottom.
Clean and peaceful
Lots grass, very well kept, good place to relax and hang put with friends
The day that I visited was a bit cloudy and windy but this park was more than worth the small annoyance. In a word or two breath taking. There are acres and acres at this extraordinary public city park.Lots of rolling hills and dells with some gullies and ravines too. Many varied, grand, stately, and magnanimous trees to adore. A plethora of plants and luxurious grassed areas. There are so many areas to enjoy a picnic or barbeque. And picnic tables are numerous. You will find some gazebos and built in outdoor grills.Dont forget to take a leisurely self guided tour. You will probably be surprised at some of the animals and birds you might see here. I saw a white egret, outstanding! There is so much natural wonder on these grounds, Ill be back. All this open space on the Santa Ana River with bike and jogging trails also.
First time at this part and it is very calm and Serene very outdoorsy like the mountains or Countryside and I thoroughly enjoyed it
Very large Park next to the scenic view of Santa Ana River. Volleyball net in the sand. can be played horseshoes benches and grills green grass. Bike trail along the Santa Ana River which extends all the way to Norco. A swimming hole at the Santa Ana River and its all free. Fourth of July is a common spot to view the fireworks that are displayed from Mount Rubidoux its a perfect shot no matter where you sit up on the top level.
Nice big park next the Santa ana river with a bike trail, benches and grills for picnics and nice scenery.
Beautiful park! Tootsie and I laid under a shady tree...
Fun place
Nice place to take the family to have a picnic, walk around the park too. There is even a playground as well. 2upThey now have an 18 hole disc golf course as well. Excellent layout. Well designed.I give this course 5 stars.
Beautiful park
Nice park. They have some crazy frisbee golf course. Only issue, 1 rest room at the far end of park, as far as I could see.
Great place to take pictures of Mt Rubidoux
Very clean nice quiet
Easy access to river bottom bike trail, always clean. Good atmosphere.
Great course to play disc golf with four new disc catcher placement locations.
Great park. They are building a disc golf course at the park.looks like they about half way done with it. It appears to be a 1st class course. Wish they had finished before I move and wish could find my disc. You can acses the Santa Ana River from the park and wade in the water on those hot summer days. Me and my dogs will miss this park once moved. My favorite park in riverside
5 stars for the Disc Golf Course. Well laid out and challenging. Once tee pads and signs are completed this will be one of the top IE courses. However, the city still needs to clean this park out. Still too many tweakers parking their cars on the grass/course!
Beautiful clean park ,Great place to take the family..
Nice park
Frisbee golfing great course
Very nice park with disc golf and bike area nice view also
Great for walks. However the River is filthy. People leaving their babies diapers, foam plates, cups, empty chip bags, etc. Pretty gross.
Its spacious, open late, good trails, pet friendly, photogenic views, great for kite flying, you can have the movie drive-in experience without the cost and large screen but, still have all the amenities a park offers. No playground thou, but still can be enjoyed by children. Relaxed rules just be respectful- keep music volume reasonable, control your kids, clean up after yourself, keep your pets friendly not a nuisance. I frequent there and its all around a good place for all walks of life whatever your life is at the time.
Kool view
She needs a little upgrade the round rail sucks
Wear a Mask !
Very nice and well laid out disc golf course
Nice place to go and spend a enjoyable time outside.
