BooBoo had a Great time! She played her heart out!! I enjoyed myself as well. The park was very nice, it has plenty of room for the dogs to run and play. I do recommend that you bring some water for your pup, we were unable to find a water source within the park. We hope you enjoy the DOGGIE PARK as much as BooBoo and I!!

One of the best playgrounds in any of Renos parks with all equipment operational unlike the many parks all over Reno with broken equpiment specifically the slides. This park has 8 slides, all of which are ready to enjoy anytime. My only major complaint are the restrooms at this park as with most public bathrooms these are some of the dirtiest in town!

This is a nice little park with tennis courts, kids playground with swings and slides and stuff to climb on, and a bathroom that is spartan but clean. Theres a little area set aside as a dog run, and lots of trees for shade. Its a little noisy on the south side near the freeway, but otherwise its a pretty nice spot to take kids and dogs and just chill for a bit.

Nice place to let the little ones get some energy out. Has a covered picnic area for summer months. A fenced in dog park. Tennis courts. A large grassy area for kids to run around when they get tired of the jungle gym.

We take our Siberian Husky to the dog park. Good place for her to meet other dogs at different times of day. If your dog likes to roam be sure to check the gates at either side of the park. South side borders I 80. Lots of background noise.

My second favorite park for my dog!! This place has a really decent size dog enclosed area,no separate area for sizes of dogs though but I always say if ur dog has aggressive issues he shouldnt be at the dog park!! Otherwise theres tennis courts, playground for kids, picnic barbeque areas. Horse shoe pits and a lot of big trees!! The only isso I have is sometime the homeless people set up a tent here or there but they dont bother anyone and if you ask them to move so you can have a birthday party or whatever, they are always respectful. But for the most part the park is always clean!! Which to me is the most important thing!!!

Used to be a nice park to take the kids to. Then...the homeless came in and set up camp. The city chooses to not enforce the no camping rule, for the most part. Once in a while you see police evicting the homeless camps. The police are more diligent around election time. City governance has turned a blind eye to the problem. In a nutshell, I would not go to this park most of the time.

Like the dog park a lot. To bad the city wont make it a better experience, add running water for the dogs the park above has water, keep it clean etc..The people that go there are great and try to keep it clean. I meet many people from out of town, its the closest dog park for tourist staying downtown, one would think the city would make it more inviting

Whitaker park is one of the best kept up parks near downtown reno. The grass is always taken care of and the dog park part of it is one of the biggest around! I plan on having barbeques there this summer with friends and family. Great park if you have kids as well... All around awesome place to go. The only downfall is when the homeless pitch tents and try to take over the barbeque area!! There are also horse shoe pits as well!! One of the cleanest parks in town!!!

I love Whitaker Park it is centrally located it has no parking lot but has city streets surrounding it that has available parking. There is alot of grass a playground area, tennis courts, restrooms, most people bring thier dogs here to play and depending on the time of year there are events held here some under the pavilion area. This is a great place to take a blanket grab a book and relax and unwind under the shade of a tree. Have fun and safe travels

Ok city park currently buried in leaves, and you may need to explain to your kids why people are camping and living in the park. I only visited this park because it was near where we were. It normally is not my first pick, but it does have a nice playground for kids.

It was ok. The playground was pretty clean, my kids had fun. However, there were a lot of homeless people with their shopping carts all around the gazebo. There was a big picnic going on, with a bunch of kids, they could have left for a little while. It was awkward. There is a homeless shelter they could go to. I know, I used to be homeless...

Went there because i could not bbq in the parking garage where i was staying. I cooked my steaks and was sitting in my car and the bbq was 10 feet away from in front of my car and i got a txt msg on my phone looked at it then looked back up at the table my bbg was sitting ontop of and it was gone. A homeless bum came out of the bushes and grabbed it and ran away with it! The coals were still lit and it had smoke coming out of it still! And this was in broad daylight about 1pm
