Pretty little hike within Barley Ranch Regional Park... A trailhead is off the parking lot south of the historic school house. This park actually has a few little historic Reno shout-outs. Boomtown donated some historic house structures and there are some antique wagons, farm equipment, etc. The views from the hike are so pretty and you get to see some wildlife on the nature hike too.

Thursday July 13, 2017, my wife and I attended a concert at the outdoor amphitheatre. If they ever have a concert there I would go again. The band that played there was Princes old band, The Revolution, and they performed magnificently. The seats at the venue are suitable for people of considerable size. The only con about those seats is you may need to bring you a cushion for your tush.

Great place for a morning jog. Youll see lots of little critters along the hillside desert trail: lizards, magpies, bluejays, quail, rabbits, beavers... The view of Reno from Audrey Harris Park, which is along the path, is wonderful, too! The amphitheater has great plays and concerts all summer. The production of The Sound of Music is not to be missed! Say hi to me on the trail!

Its an average park in reno. A little larger then some of the other ones in south reno. There is a museum that you can check out. They have some old buildings up for display out side. Horse corals, and horse trails. There is an out door theatre on the south end. There is a short walking trail that goes up on the side of the hill.
