This area is so beautiful and scenic. Such beautiful fall colors. These trails do get popular on the weekends so be prepared for quite a few groups of people loudly talking etc. Other than that great incline and views!

Great trails in a beautiful setting. Love that we can bring our dogs and that there is an off leash area. They are also taking care to direct traffic to minimize COVID transmission.

Easy hike, ideal for a casual walk as you chat with friends and family. Ideal for children, pets and small groups. Not too crowded on weekdays. Weekends tend to get busier in the morning.Good, marked trails. Not much of a view though.

This is a good hike for an early morning hike.We took the paved road going up since were not familiar with the trails. It was easy. Im not sure I would be hiking alone if you are concern of dogs being unleashed. We took the trail going back to the parking lot and it has steep sections of incline but its all manageable and it would be a good work out going up.

Probably because this one is nearest where I live, I love to take my dog for hikes at Pulgas Ridge. Prepare yourself though, there are a fair amount of hikers and dogs at as it is an easily accessible popular place. Still, you will never be disappointed with the views or the quiet walks.

It is one of the pristine treks available around Redwood city. It is well maintained clean and safe trail. There 8s no ambiguity of whatever kind on the route. There direction boards wherever required. The sun at some patches gives you required tan.

A good place to walk the dog. The trail was easy and well-maintained, but the view wasn’t spectacular. Other than a few people not picking up after their dog, it was a nice place.

Great place for hiking, specially with dogs. There is a large off-leash area. But make sure your dogs are on leash, where there is a posted sign. We ended up getting a ticket, just because we removed leash to take pictures, 10 meters from the off-leash area. We didnt realize park security is so strict, instead of letting us go with a warning, issued us a ticket, even though no body was around. Other than this unpleasant experience, great place to walk your dogs and also hike.

Pulgas Ridge Open Space is an easy and dog-friendly park in San Carlos. You can choose shorter and easier routes or pick slightly harder and longer ones per your interest and time. Expect to see many dogs including an area where they can be unleashed. Certain trails get close to 280.

Accessible open space preserve! Not only is it right off 280 & Edgewood but there is an accessible trail. The parking lot is fairly small but does have a pit toilet. The best part is the off leash dog area. That hike to that area is short (.4 mi.) but uphill the entire way. Good place to kill an hour or two with your canine.

A great nature preserve to go hiking at. There are a couple of miles of trails and you are allowed to bring your dog. There is an even an off leash area in the middle of the preserve for those with dogs. The views from the hill summits on a clear day are spectacular. The trails meander among the hills and down into the valleys proving a nice change of scenery within the preserve.

Nice hiking. The Off Leash area is a nice walk to. The part that is not so good from a dogs perspective is that on the longer loops the 4-leggers are supposed to be leashed up. BRING your own bags for dog .

Ma
Review №44

Tip: Nearest trash can is at Edgewood Park, really close and hard to miss. The bin is in the main parking. You can be in and out in less than 1 minute. Dogs are not allowed in Edgewood Park so ensure your furry friend will not go out of your car.My husband and I would pick up improperly disregarded poop bags along the way and dispose the bags elsewhere. Please consider doing the same to keep our beloved Pulgas Ridge Park clean. Kudos to Kiara’s (the husky) dad for starting this. Remember, it only takes one person to rectify the mistakes of many people.Loving the off-leash dog area! It is better than our local dog park.Parking is an issue but you can always wait or park by the street. A restroom is available to use - it is okay, clean and tolerable to use.Bring your poop bag and dispose it properly. Don’t leave it in the park. No trash service here too.

This is the hidden jewel of Silicon Valley. A bit off the main roads, but well worth the effort. The Temple is a grand beauty with columns of majesty. Pros: very close to the urban areas!! diverse views, diverse Flora, a few animals (I saw 2 deers and 2 hares)Cons: too close to the highway, we could hear the cars for a long time. I also wish theyd dig a tunnel under I280 to get to the other side. Views are great but not exceptional.

Finding nice, open spaces in the Bay Area is a real premium. Bay Meadows Park happens to be one of these places with large, expansive real estate for fun and games. The Good: Spaces - Large grass area for flag football, flying kites or a picnic. Breeze - Its a bit windy here so thats either a good or bad thing depending on what you want to do. Peaceful - This park isnt overly crowded so you have ample space to run around.

Dog friendly Open Space.Leash required on all trails except one loop. It is clearly marked. The off leash area is not fenced in, so if your dog bolts it can get lost.Poop bags required and they recently installed receptacles for the dog waste at the trailheads adjacent to the main parking lot.

The trail is a beautiful place for a walk. However, on my last venture out there was a man filming women as they walked by. I over heard him whisper how good one smelled. Theres quite a bit of shade along the trails if you hike in the summer. Restroom located at the trail head. Trails are dog-friendly but some parts are too narrow to walk comfortably with dogs. Also found some foxtail alongside the trail. It is very hard to cross others. There are a few vista points with views of rolling hills. I prefer some of the other trails in the area, that have similar views.
