Definitely one of the top experiences in my life! Had a blast on this tour! We caught lobster, crabs, and hermit crabs. Kate-Lyn was on our tour, and she made the experience so enjoyable!

My husband and I had a great time on the lobster tour. We loved that it was so educational and hands-on! The crew does a great job at giving you a good feel for what lobster fishermen do. Rocky Bottom provides aprons and gloves so you can handle the lobsters, as well as set the traps for the next round. We had a small group, so we had a lot of opportunities to do everything. Its also a great way to get out on the water! Definitely recommend!

What a fun experience this was! The vessel was immaculately clean--quite a feat considering its a lobster/fishing excursion. The staff is top notch. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and offered recommendations for other activities in and around Portland. Since this is an immersive experience, they provided rubber gloves and aprons so you could assist with emptying the lobster traps without getting dirty. Its also BYOB! Would definitely do this again.

My wife and I decided to visit Maine for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We came across Rocky Bottom Tours for a nightcap to our wonderful day. The crew, led by Captain Than was amazing and greater “Than” we could’ve ever wished for. The tour guide was incredible and she was an outstanding photographer. They answered every question asked and was eager to accommodate everyone!I’m so happy we went on this cruise and am humbled with how nice and flexible the tour was! Thanks for making our day a memorable one. We will never forget it!

This is the only “touristy” thing my husband and I did on our trip and it was a great decision! We both got to hold lobster, get lobster and crabs out of the trap, band lobsters and set bait. We absolutely loved the entire experience, and were blown away by the value. I’d happily pay $100 per person to do this again. We will recommend it to everyone we know who visits Portland.

My husband and I had so much fun on the lobster demo tour. very hands on, informational, and overall a really great time on the water. Small group tour meant plenty of distance between us and the other people on the boat, felt safe. Also highly responsive they were able to rebook me for a different day when my plans changed suddenly. Thank you for a great afternoon!

Awesome experience. The captain and host were extremely knowledgeable and engaging. Very hands on - grabbing lobster from the crates, measuring them, putting bands on the claws and putting bate in the traps. Would highly recommend.

Such an amazing experience at a very reasonable and affordable price. Had a great time and was definitely one of the highlights during my trip to Maine. Crew was fantastic, weather was awesome it was fun and engaging really couldnt ask for more.

We took the sunset cruise with captain dickey and Heather, it was absolutely incredible! By far, the highlight of our trip to Portland. Highly recommend, worth every penny.

Simple. Do it. Incredible time. Heather and Captain Dickey were above and beyond what we expected. It was 7 of us dudes and we are a lot to handle. Heather and Capt fit right in with the crew. The group photo is going on my mantle. It was a perfect start to our day getting hazy with the haziest of NE IPAs. 2 hours was great, but 20 hours would have been better. Next time I guess.

We had a great experience with Heather and Captain Dave (If I remember correctly). Heather was informative and Captain Dave was great in explaining how things worked and showed the kids how to drive a boat. =) Beautiful ride around the islands and seeing the lighthouses.

This is a must-do experience for everyone visitng Portland! It is hands-on and you learn so much! Kate-lyn was so kind to email ahead of time to change the time of our ride because of potential rain, and it worked out perfectly. So much fun!

We had a group of 6 out for a sunset boat tour and couldnt have had a better time! It was such a deal for the experience and a lobster roll - we learned so much about lobster fishing and had a lot of beautiful photo ops. I would definitely recommend this outing for anyone visiting from out of town, or really any group looking for an outing on the water.

This was such a fun hands on tour! They are new so it wasnt too crowded and I had the best time learning about fishing for lobster and cruising around the bay. You will not be disappointed!

Great people and a great tour. I took my 9 year old an Grady and the Captain couldnt have been nicer to him. We had a blast! My boy was sad that it ended. Thanks RBT!
