Nice view of the St.Johns bridge.

Very muddy in parts but I was still able to run it...which was not an easy feat with 1400 feet elevation gain. I’d like to do it again when the trail is in a better condition so I think that makes this a good review. Also, note that during the view of the bridge from Forest Park is clear no matter what season it is.

Pros:-Great views (At least two!)-Mildly interesting layoutCons:-Horrible parking-Many homeless, camps, trash, and on the trail drunk and stumbling.-After parking you must walk along the side of the road with no sidewalks.- Muddy when wet-Lots of roots and dipsOverall:Come here to snag a picture or two for the collection, but bring friends and protection! Not for the wildlife, but from the people.

Not ideal for dogs! Beautiful trail, but it is skinny and steep and slopes a good bit towards the edge. My dog and I struggled a bit! It would have gotten 5 stars if I wasnt with her.

Great place to go. However always be careful when driving or hiking around

~ Was My Home For 3 Years! ~ Beginning of The Tarzan Tribe! ...now AKA The Traveling Tribe (Yes a Tribe of Nomads) ~~ 99% of the people who hike through are purely awesome! ...the other 1%, closed minded yuppies who dont hike regularly.~ High Traffic Trail. Being close to the St Johns Bridge A lot of college hikers and tourist travel along this trail.

I should give it one star to try and keep people from going here. Its a Trailhead to Forest Park, theyre all the same.

Probably the best views from Forest Park trails are found near this trailhead. Pro tip: walk further north past the stairs near the base of the bridge to the alternate trailhead further down. A short ways in on this trail brings you to the best viewpoint where you can see the bridge and Mt Hood.
