I live a few blocks from here and have been eagerly awaiting its opening. The wait was worth it. The pump track is incredible. The flow trails are muddy at the moment but look very promising. They kept the old ridge line trails and added some skills features and a few burms to link up a line or two. Great job on the remodel.

Ive been going there for a while it just recently was redone and they added another pumptrack. You are allowed to use scooters and other things on the pumptrack but only bikes on the trails. Its a great park with downhill and jumps of all sizes. There usually arent more then 15 people there.

My first time at Gateway greens excellent riding and its got cool switchbacks with berms, sweet singletrack with doubles and pump features, a concrete mini pump track, a wall ride and some wooden bridge drops, also some wooden pump features, and to top it all off four pretty big jumps with wooden bridge takeoffs I like to call the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse I watched a guy jump these they are sick! This is a great place to ride, a little bit of climbing but well worth it. I felt my skills getting better every time we rode the trails, this will be a good place to build my skills and also thanks to the guys that build and maintain these trails good work!! This is my new local place to ride see you there

The new pump track is breathtaking. Literally. As of Nov 29th most of the mtb runs are too greasy to ride, but the pump track is sublime and smooth.

Gateway Green is a City of Portland park and their first focus on mountain biking with a bit of single track trails and a bit of a jump park. This park is very family friendly riding area with kids as young as 4 to 6 able to ride. I notice a lot of families and people with a range of bikes from recreational to then also BMX, dirt jumpers, hard tails, and dual suspension bikes. There are some large 10 foot jumps for dirt jump bikes. Then there’s also people doing the larger single track loops which is over a mile. You can spend a few hours here and build up maybe 7 to 12 miles doing a number of loops.

Riding through the transit center to get to the park can be interesting. The trails have berms and some tech features that are probably suitable for intermediate riders. There is one green trail that is good for pumping. The skills area has a variety of drops and jumps that are fun, but little kids can get in the way and become roaming features. We enjoyed our morning there and are looking forward to going back.

Halfway between the Gateway Transit Center and Maywood Park is a great new off-road bike park. Despite the map pin location Google will locate for Gateway Green, it can be a little tricky because of all the trains and highways around it. The only way to get to Gateway Green is to use the multi-use (bike and walking) path. Once on the path, look for and follow the green arrow signs in my pictures for assistance on how to find it. Have fun at this great spot!

The park is very nice, but I will never come again, and I will never bring my kids, especially. The only access to the park is through the gateway transit station and the bike path next to it. There are tons of visibly intoxicated, homeless people around those areas, camping out, littering, sleeping on the path, even harassing people passing by. I did not feel safe, especially with my kid. Transit security is not doing anything, as long as the homeless are not on the rail tracks. We have come several times, and every time it seems to get worse. Good idea, but the poor execution. City needs to clean this up.

Im very glad this place was put in. It gives my son and I a closer option for riding. Unfortunately its a bit trashy just like any other outdoor space in the area. Still, a good place to have some fun on your bike close in.

The amount of materials and time invested into this park is amazing. I came through on a 32 mile city loop, and had a tough time making it on simple tracks, but I will be back to practice my skills! Seems like theres a great community, too.

Another attraction not meant for everybody. But Portlands way of being able to attract select groups of people. While alienating an entire situation. This place is why homelessness is such an important topic for any metropolis. Especially when a city claims to be a sanctuary. So far Portland seems to be the place you come to either get high or have your life stolen before your eyes. Well they took all I own except my excellent selection of marijuana. Which Portland does have a diverse economy of shops. But as far as this park goes. Yea it has the only portable bathroom on the trail after gateway train station and may wood park.

Something I hate to see is an abundant of homeless people struggling especially in my community whatever it may be. But what I HATE seeing even worse is going to a public bike park where there’s a completely naked homeless man (looking like he’s on drugs) JERKING IT right off the trail once you get on the other side of the 1-205 bike trail fence.

I havent ridden here, recovering from a shoulder injury, but my son loves it. It is well maintained and regulated. The gates are closed at night and campers are not allowed so it is staying nice. Can be a bit busy with everyone from small kids on up, people have been nice and polite.
