Arrived after 5:00 and was told registration would be outside office waiting. Didn’t bother to advise the office was in the campground next door. The site we were designated to stay in was not large enough to accommodate our 5th wheel. The entire campground just felt like a sad place to be. Mostly roads, concrete or blacktop. Very little grass. We were reserved for 2 weeks and I couldn’t imagine spending 2 weeks there. This is a very sad resort. We immediately got on the phone with Encore and were able to transfer our reservation to Miami Everglades. Such a nice park! I would not recommend Highland Woods, unless it was just an overnight stop. Depressing park!

Brush up on your French before you come here! Great place, had a good time, clean bathrooms, clean pool area and friendly atmosphere! It is close to train tracks but you do get used to it! Thank you for the hospitality and friendly staff. See you next year!

The office called us to tell us if we arrived after 5 there would be an envelope at the office. They failed to mention the office is next door at the other campground. None of the amenities are open for use. The campground is near empty and about 6 residents live there. The campground is close to Deerfield Beach, Pompano Beach and Ft. Laurdale. It has easy access to lots of area attractions. There is next to no shade trees in the campground, no fire rings or picnic table. The area is clean and the restrooms were updated and clean. We were in the area to sight see so the grounds were good for us, but, if we were wanting to camp and relax I would find a different park. Not a terrible experience, having a pool open would of made it better.

I have stayed with my family at the Highland Woods RV Park from 10/11/2020 to 10/18/2020 in a RV site. It has been the worst experience ever, end-to-end, in every aspect. One day prior our check-in someone called me to give me check-in instructions and the site assigned to me. She was very straight forward with no details. The assigned me site #98.At the check-in time i realized there was no office on site for me to get my paperwork - the lady on the phone did not mention that the office I should go is located in ANOTHER RV park, a different address crossing the street. When I finally got to my site 98, there was a family permanent living there. I called the customer service and they asked ME to talk to the family for them to move. Of course that is an absurd and I told them i am not comfortable resolving their conflicts, so they assigned me to site 103. Guess what? Sewer was clogged. Called customer service again, and they assigned me to site 101 - where there was no sewer at all (I booked full hookup and 30AMP). I called again and they assigned me to 93. I went there and the neighbor was stealing the electricity from 93, so I could not use energy. I called again and they assigned me to 98 (yes again) and i reminded them 98 had a permanent family living there. They finally assigned me to site 97, which had 50amp only (my reservation clearly states 30amp). Okay, at this point of frustration I purchased an adaptor myself and plugged my 30am into their 50amp. Funny part is that, while I was doing all this try-and-error moves to find a site, a tall man approached me asking me to take my vehicle out of site 103 because it was not assigned to me anymore and he would have to tow it if I delay (no, I am not kidding). All set in the site right? Facilities were so outdate and dirty that we could not use anything, just parked the motorhome to sleep at night and wake up with all the trucks` noises from the company aside. That was our more-than-terrible experience. I hope this message reaches someone at the management level to have the job done. Check the facility, repair what is not working, update your inventory, keep your employees informed about the status of each site. Keep someone there to overlook what is happening, give clear directions. There is a lot of work to do on this facility, not recommending anyone to stay there at all.

Show up...no office, no one around, (3) RV’s (maybe if that), didn’t feel safe, I slept at the rest area on the interstate. Horrible...and the best yet is they want to charge $500+ for a site!I do not recommend

After reading other reviews, I had some reservations about coming here. But this RV park was great for me. The level of maintenance was about the same as other South Florida parks in the same budget level. Sure, it needs some repair work, but the same can be said most other places Ive been with good reviews.A plus compared to other places is its small gym, with about 9-10 machines, including two thread Mills and three stationary bicycles. In the Summer, though, you need to come earlier to calibrate the a/c since it was hot and wait some time The lowest it came in hot days were 72 degrees, but more if you wait long enough. Another advantage is the budget friendly rates they got, I got an Encore membership; so I appreciate the rate. The front desk staff was very kind and with good manners. They were always there for anything I needed. The place is close enough to Pompano Beach, a small but nice beach.

They gave us a spot that had a broken 50 amp plug receptacle! The plug outlet was to far for our cord to reach, the sewer was located on the other side of our pad, and if other people were there we would be sardines... 1 hour there and we left.

NOWHERE on their website or when you call do they tell you to check in at Breezy Hill RV Park next door. We pulled into Highland Woods only to determine we were in the wrong place to check in. We had to unhook our toad then find our way around the very narrow park streets and the area to get to Breezy Hill. Our reserved site was located at the back of the so-called Rv resort in a muddy, small, nearly impossible place to park. We had to have three neighbors move vehicles so we could get into our tiny spot. Our coach is 42’ which they were aware of when I made the reservation. Many full time, older units in the park. We talked to one neighbor who said he saw several rigs come in then turn around and leave. We cannot recommend this park at all. Probably one of the worst we have been in during our four years on the road.

Nice enough. No hot tub, small pool. Lots of lizards around. Staff in office had hard time understanding English. Some sketchy, home built rigs with flat tires, home ac units poking through the side and large dogs chasing cats were some of the highlights. Loud motorcycle repair shop beside the park can go late.

The instuctions for registration are extremely poor. Weve travelled all over the country and have been in our fair share of campgrounds. We were booked at Highland Woods for 4 days and there were no signs telling us to register at the Breezy Hills next door. The sites are also quite tight to get into and our hookups were on the wrong side of the rig. Its true what everyone says about it being all French Canadian retirees, and being Quebecers ourselves, even we didnt love the lack of diversity. We are a young family with 4 kids and felt like we were disturbing this retired community.

Our family recently stayed here for nearly 2 weeks and when that time was up we were quite happy to move on. The park is old and small - and the sites are extremely squished together. Crime-wise the overall area of town is a bit dodgy as well - we did not fully feel safe here. And finally - we found the vast majority of the residents to be retired French Canadian snowbirds that did not speak English and did not seem too keen to have a non-French speaking family with young kids staying in the park.

Two weeks ago we arrived at 3pm with a prepaid reservation but we left without staying. They were unprepared/clueless about our expected arrival. The temporary pull through spots a poster on the wall directed us to use were a dump with unsafe looking questionable utility hook ups. No staff on site on arrival and contact info avaliable was only to a remote call center with a hour wait on hold. We will never return and will tell others to avoid the location.

Highland Woods is an old park. This is not a park for children. The park is not in a very good neighborhood. There is a fence around the park, but anyone can go over the fence or just walk in. During my last visit to Highland Woods, my assigned lot was next to a liquor store, gun store, and pawn shop. Across the street from the park is a large industrial cement plant. Next to the park is very busy, and very loud, passenger and freight train track. Highland Woods is not the dirtiest Park Ive been in, but its not the cleanest either. All spaces are back in. Parking is very tight. A rookie RVer may have a difficult time parking on his or her sight. You have to check in at the RV Park next door, then drive over to Highland Woods. The staff seems to be not well informed, or they just dont care. If you have a problem in the park, dont expect much help from the staff. Both times Ive stayed at Highland Woods, there were RVs or vehicles on the lot I was assigned. The last time I stayed at Highland Woods, there was a Class A motorhome on the lot I was assigned. Knowing how the staff respond to things, I simply took an empty spot close to my assigned lot. I called the office to tell them there was a motorhome on the lot which they assigned to me. I told them I took a close by vacant lot. The staff told me I had to move, as the lot I was on was assigned to another individual yet to arrive. I advised the staff that it was not my problem. That they had to get the RV on my original assigned lot moved, and then could assign that lot to whoever they wished. Funny thing is, the motorhome on my original lot was moved, and no one was assigned to the lot during my 4-day stay. Most of the parks residence are French Canadians, who spend the entire winter in the park. I found them to be friendly and helpful. French is the primary language spoken in the park. Much of the parks signage is in French. some is bilingual in French and English. The bottom line is would I stay in this park again? The answer is a solid No.

Staff is unfriendly and mostly unavailable. This park is basically an annex for the park next door (Breezy Hill). Breezy hill has an office and gates with codes. They have a staff and plenty of amenities. This park - anyone can drive in. The neighborhood isnt so great. nobody is here to check you in. There are no signs or instructions telling you to go next door to check in and, again, the staff is incredibly rude. Manager needs to fire them all. Or maybe manager should be fired. Oh and did I mention the price? Insane. Dont stay here.
