This is an awesome playground for elementary kids! Tons of ways to climb and keep them busy. A water sprinkler gets turned on in the summer to cool off. Indoor bathrooms right there, as well as a small snack shop. Worth the drive even if you are not close by.

Wonderful place to bring the family on a Sunday afternoon. There is a great playground equipment for kids, several trails in the forest, and a small beach resort on the medicine lake just a couple of minutes from the playground. There are small shops (coffee, soft drinks and ice cream). The access is free (without a boat) and you can rent canoes, kayaks or boards.

It is beautiful and clean, with lots of picnic tables and grills to use. There are great trails to hike and the beach is not too busy, maybe because theres no parking lot right next to, but its not a far walk. The playground is amazing and everything is kept pretty clean.

Awesome park! Kids love it! The beach is nice. The only downfall is the walk from parking down to the beach. My 4 kids complained a lot about having to walk so far when its hot. Restrooms are open but the changing rooms were not. Nice shaded areas with picnic tables are available. Umbrellas are also up on the beach.

Very nice park, lots to do and well kept. The website has a full list of available areas and amenities. Many possible activities and plenty of room to maintain social distance, though the people visiting did not follow any of the official guidelines for safety during this pandemic. Thats not the parks fault, though.

This is a really nice park. They’ve done a really nice job revamping everything recently. The play place is incredible! There are staffed warming houses with snacks and drinks for sale and a fantastic beach area. There are sand volleyball courts and a free trolley that goes to the waterfront and back. The hiking trails are magnificent! In the winter they have a big bonfire next to the warming House. Plenty of picnic tables and grills. Five Star Park!

This is a pretty awesome and epic climb playground!**Make sure to have kids wear shoes as the ropes and climbing is not as soft as you would think and hurts bare feet. Flip flops don’t work either and you may lose them. There is a mist area for kids to get wet and cool off and is located about a 5 min walk from the beach area.

A great newly renovated playground that is as imaginative as it is fun. Most play playgrounds these days are lacking in originality and you see the same plastic red slides and small climbing structures repeated incessantly. This new playground provides endless entertainment for both big kids and toddlers. The building located nearby offers clean restroom facilities as well as refreshments. Shaded picnic tables, a small splash pad, a true sandbox that offers the children a water fountain to make all the mud pies they want, as well as climbing ropes for the bigger kids, swim Beach and hiking trails, makes this a true family-friendly experience which can last an entire day.

If I could review this at no stars I would. The landing has major rocks in the channel and I have ruined two props in one summer trying to get on this lake. I called before the second time to confirm the staff went out and checked the area for obstructions and was told that it was cleared out. Well that is absolutely not the case. Boaters beware, this landing is not maintained and I wouldn’t trust it.

This is a great park in general. Its free admission, free parking, great activities for all ages. Sometimes you gotta walk a little wee bit from parking. All in all doesnt seem to far or big recurring issue. The playground {which in my opinion down plays it in the name alone} is great! Its huge and has so so sooo much to do for kids. Plus it has a couple water sprinkler type things to cool down with on those real hot days. The beach area is keep nice and pretty clean for most part. Meaning moreso the breakdown my children and I went in swimming. They bathrooms/changing area is there and kept decent. Then you can rent kayaks, canoes, etc. Small fee but not outrageous. Cant recall exact price but recollecting was not bad. Nature trails for biking, walking, jogging etc. Bbq areas with picnic tables. Huge hills for sledding in winter [of course]. Much more Im missing but check it out yourself! My family loves it here!

This is an excellent, well maintained park with a lot of activities ranging from free to reasonably priced. It would be hard not to be able to find something for everyone to do here. There are miles of both wooded hiking trails and paved paths (lots of shaded areas too for hot days) for plenty of walking and biking, a playground that looks like it would be a blast if you are a kid or have kids that need to burn off some energy, a nice public fishing dock, places to rent kayaks and other water activity stuff for a quick paddle around the lake, plenty of grills and seating for a nice family picnic, and loads of wildlife to watch. Oh, and its also loaded with PokeStops and gyms if you are into that and/or need something to help motivate yourself into some walking like I sometimes do on a lazy day. Though there are no shortage of excellent parks in the area, Clifton E. French is my favorite for the multitude of trails and activities and the natural beauty of Medicine Lake and the surrounding wooded and marshy areas. Definitely worth a visit. Oh, and dont forget that if you have someone with you that is unable to make the walk down to the lake or other areas in the park they run a shuttle between a few stops in the park. I dont know the exact schedule for that because we havent used it but I do see it passing by sometimes with passengers so keep that in mind of you have someone with you that might need a little assistance getting around this massive park. The visitors center near the main parking lot and the boat rental area have very well maintained bathrooms, staff is always super friendly, and they have some basic essentials like bug spray if you forgot some and want to hike the wooded trails without worrying about ticks or mosquitos. Highly recommended.
