What a gorgeous cemetery. Im the type of person who loves going to cemeteries and seeing the dates and names. Its a bit of a walk and has a fair number of stairs, but its worth it once you get to the top. Dont skip this one!

Very quiet and beautiful, historic cemetery on the top of a hill that overlooks a portion of downtown. Great views of downtown and the harbor.

I have visited over 100 burial grounds across New England the Plymouths Burial Hill Cemetery is one of my favorites. It sits atop a steep hill right next to the city center and has a wide variety of very well preserved grave stones. I particularly like grave stones hand carved before 1800 and Burial Hill cemetery has many different styles. I like the small paved pathways that wind through the cemetery and the trees that provide shade in summer. When visiting Plymouth this is one of the must see spots. The last three times I visited they were carefully preserving the old stones.

Burial Hill is a historic cemetery or burying ground on School Street in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Established in the 17th century, it is the burial site of several Pilgrims, the founding settlers of Plymouth Colony. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.A network of paved footpaths are laid out through the cemeterys 5.1 acres, with stairs located along steeper sections. There are more than 2,000 marked graves, dating from 1680 to 1957.

The history was really cool, but its sorta sad what disrepair the cemetery is in. There is no map to the significant grave sites, paths are falling apart, multiple grave stone have fallen, and so on. It was disappointing and not a great experience.

Always read about the Pilgrims but never visited the actual site where they landed. What a history lesson!!! Stopped at the visitors center and received a small history lesson and then set out for the endeavor. The museums and historically preserved buildings were beyond expectations. . . WOW!!! A Must See. . .

One of my favorite places to meet new faces. I enjoy the subtlety of the crowd and quietness of the gatherings. A well placed bench offers priceless views of Plymouth with haunting company surrounding.

I had my picture taken in front of the sign for a souvenir. It is OK. It is an old cemetery, nothing more, nothing less.
