FastPass+ recommended during peak times. This is a simulator ride that requires use of their special eyewear. I would consider this to be one of the less intensive simulator rides, but if youre extremely sensitive and get motion sickness really easy, then stay away and go straight to the gift shop :)The ride is not always the same as we went on this two times and experienced two slightly different stories.

This has always been a must ride for us and any Star Wars enthusiast. It is a spectacular simulation of space travel with a lot of twists and turns, though not overly bumpy. There are also a number of random branching story lines based on the simulator you are assigned. The wait is also cool and well covered outside with shade provided by trees of Endor.

Fun simulation ride especially for Star War fans. The line is usually much shorter than its newer cousin. And its fun to ride this one and then move on to the newer one. The queue is interesting and helps the time pass faster.

Star tours is a classic and a must do when visiting Hollywood studios. The outside design is hyper realistic with an AT-AT Walker right at the entrance! The queue is actually quite fun with friendly faces such as R2D2 and C3PO! The ride itself is so fun and always different! Those who get motion sickness easily should be careful though. All in all I think it’s a great experience and a must do!

Still one of the best rides. Even our 6 year old girl, whos not really a fan of Star Wars loves this ride. Its just plain fun. Youre a tourist, a and C3PO accidentally ends up piloting your tour craft, and running from the empire/first order.

Great star wars ride. Disney keeps updating the ride to stay up to date with the current movies. The ride is very jerky and lots of ups and downs. May not be good for someone with motion sickness. I have enjoyed every iteration of this ride. The incorporation of the 3d movies have been a welcome addition. Various cameos from your favorite characters show up. In the ride we went on bb-8 made an appearance. A must ride for any star wars fan.

On the whole it was a fun ride and my kids (9, 10) enjoyed it a lot. It had been about 20-some years since I’d ridden Star Tours and was pleased to see that they updated the “storyline” and video footage of the ride to include characters and scenery from the latest Skywalker trilogy, including appearances from Poe and Finn.In my opinion, the ride would be worth a 30-minute ride, but if the line were longer I’d find a time where it’s less busy and go then unless you can get a fast pass for.

Jo

Still a good ride after all these years. Wonder with Star Wars Galaxys Edge if its days are numbered.

Jo
Review №17

So this is a simulated ride, theres a big error in the story line. Darth Vader is looking for a rebel spy (which they pick a kid out from the audience and put them up on the screen, or its always the front right seat). The ride takes you through the galaxy. But then you meet up with Finn! I just found it amusing that they spent so much time building and creating this ride when the two characters dont exist in terms same universe together (Darth Vader is dead in Finns time, and Finn hasnt been born yet in Vaders).Honestly, who gives a damn. It was a good ride, great experience-wise. Animatronics were great.

Star Tours is one of the better attractions at the park. Definitely better than Smuggler’s Run. It’s a simulator ride that mixes up different scenes, and there are cameos from a few Star Wars characters. C3PO and R2D2 are riding along with you as you battle on the side of the resistance. Overall it’s a fun albeit short simulator ride that is a must-do!

This ride is an absolute nightmare. A solid 20 seconds in and I was prepared to launch off my seat, due to the onset of motion sickness. Had to sit through the rest of the ride with my eyes shut, praying for dear life. Finally exited the ride and was so dizzy I thought I would puke. The effects of this motion sickness lasted the rest of the day. Disney should really put more effort into their rides and consider the well-being of its guests. Stay away from this ride, people!!

This is the only ride I can continuously ride in a Disney park and not get bored. Probably because of my love of star wars. There are several video segments that are combined to give you a unique ride each time. I put unique in quotes because that appears to be the intent but on this last trip I rode 7 times back to back and 6 times had the same first clip. The rest of the video was more random each time though if you get a batch of repeats like I did it can seem like theyre playing the same video.

It was great. Brought back the original series and breathed life into the adventure. You could be waiting in line a long time for the 3D starship ride though. We had Fast Pass and still took about half an hour to board. Depends on time of day too. The 3D starship ride was worth the wait. We came back later when it want do busy and went again. Similator ride that mixes up the scenes so that your ride is different each time. Features planets and characters from prequels, originals, and the more recent Disney movies. While this ride is fun, it is a bit outdated. The 3d movie is the same as it was years ago with an updated character or two (possibly). The 3d is definitely outdated and you can see motion blur at times. The ride waiting area is interesting, as it has plenty of reference to the movies. The concept is great, though. The plot is you are trying to escape to protect someone on your crew.

Would recommend this ride. Not to be missed when in Hollywood Studios. You board a Star Tours transport vehicle which takes you through many scenes. A good 3d ride. There are scenes from the latest Star Wars movie also. Do not kiss the Jedi training to the left of the ride entrance. It is held multiple times a day. Take your kids there as they can fight with Darth Vader and other Star Wars characters. Try to do this ride early in the morning if you do not have a fast pass. By noon wait times increase.

The years have not been so kind. We rode this several years ago after it was updated. The scenes that it takes you through are a lot of fun as a Star Wars fan. But, the ride itself is surprisingly one of the most nausea inducing for myself and several others in our group. Im not sure if its the older 3D tech, the ride motion, or the combination - but it is a hard ride to go on for me. Still, if youre a fan, it is worth taking, particularly while the new Star Wars area of the park isnt ready yet. Hopefully, this will get a technology update soon along with scenes from the latest movies.

This is a very unique ride that takes you to many planets thrtouout the Star Wars universe. At most times of the day, the line is usually short, and there is plenty interesting Star wars robots and such everywhere around the que. A recent change to the ride has allowed it to have(while some may not be so different) 70 different options that come at random.

I love this place. Lines are never too long. Lots of characters and movie quotes while waiting in line. The gift shop is great. You can make your own light saber and even get your face put in the spot of some of the famous characters. They take your picture and you can get it in store as well as get digital copies. The gift shop continues to add new things. The ride is a blast for the whole family and looks and feels real. This is a picture I bought today of my son and I looking like Anakin Skywalker and Obie One as well as a purple light saber in the form of Kyle Ren’s style in the movies.

Absolutely awful experience on the star tours ride. Not enough safety measures taken at all for a ride with as much jerking motion as this. I was flying forward in my seat with every stop and as the ride lurched forward, my head was slammed against the back of the wall. This ride does not have enough safety precautions and is awful for anyone sutting in the back row. I have no idea how any ride like that has inadequate safety for Disney world guests. Quite possibly the worst ride in the entire park because of the designs lack of protection for the guests.

This ride has taken on a new appeal. We were told by cast members there are now 108 variations of the ride. We were luck enough to ride it three times on April 30 2018 and each one was completely different. Once we battled Darth Vader and slammed a Wookie onto the windshield. Another we flew through the waters of Naboo and its fiery core. The last we flew into Mazs castle. This was an awesome change up. If you see the wait time drop at night try getting through a few times and see all the variations. This is all build up for Galaxys Edge opening in 2019.

A nifty wild simulator ride through the Star Wars galaxy, with convincing motion effects, 3D video and clever use of humor. Youre riding in a box-shaped space vehicle with a single large window at the front (represented by a mechanism similar to professional flight simulators: the entire room is mounted on a motion bed and can tilt and move along several axes, and the windshield is a large display screen viewed through 3D glasses). Due to a comical mix-up, C-3PO himself (in audio-animatronic form) is your pilot. The adventures youll have are randomized, so that the ride is different every time; they include visits to planets from the whole Star Wars series, including the recent sequel films.Currently the ride gleefully violates continuity by sending you through scenes seemingly set decades apart in the Star Wars saga, but nobody seems to be particularly bothered. Its not as overwhelming an experience as other simulator rides (at WDW and elsewhere) with bigger screens, but in this incarnation it still holds up.

This was my favorite at the WDW parks. Even tho on this review Ill be mentioning some other parks and rides we went on. It really felt like I was riding thru an African safari. A wide variety of animals to see. I guess as long as weather conditions are okay or animals arent sleeping. Toy Story Mania! was great also loved that ride Under Andies Bed me and the kids had a blast. The Tower of Terror OMG! and the ride took a picture of us looking crazy. The Great Movie ride Im happy we got a chance to ride it before the closed it down. I was also happy to get pictures of the Mickey Mouse magicians hat before it got dismantled. Now Stars Tours was funny loved the simulator ride with R2D2 and 3PCO. I didnt go on Aerosmith Rock n Rollercoaster but the kids did. As a matter of fact they went on a total of four times. Lines werent long that evening. I did go on Mission: Space I did the orange level. That G force effect is strong on this ride.
