This Recreation Center was the gathering point for a park survey being done by volunteers organized by the Oakland Parks and Recreation Foundation.The center manager very kindly gave me a tour of the facility. I was impressed by their full restaurant kitchen where culinary trainings are held, their tech lab and their gymnasium.I was surprised also to learn that, while the building dates back to the mid-20th century, its been redone and looks like a recently constructed building.

My son plays baseball at this park. Its nice because its well maintained and theres a nice playground right there my youngest can play on too

My grandbaby (2 1/2 yrs old) really enjoy going to this park. I really appreciate the foam turf. I would give 5 star but they dont have but 2 baby swings and 2 big kid swings. Need more investment to make a little better so kids dont have to fight or be sad over the swings. But the Rec Center is nice overall.

I used to go here everyday after school as a kid. Before the name change. Golden Gate Recreation Center has always been great
