Nice environment large clean grassy picnic areas. Several Restroom Several Picnic Tables and Beautiful Trees. Play area for all ( KIDS ) Sizes, BABIES too ADULTS Basketball Courts and a Large Educational Job--Resources highly Recommended. Overall all assets in one. Oh Yeah, a New Skate--Board Area. Not to mention the 12 ft. POOL been utilized since I was a little girl. JUST PERFECT!!!!!!

Beautiful oaks. Needs the trash cleaned up and the basketball court needs its hoops back. But a wonderful community park.

Really fun park. Covered in cool graffiti art. Ramps of all shapes. High quarter is awesome. Street and vert.

It would be nice if the city of Oakland would clean it up. Anf yes I meant park and rec plus the people. The garbage needs to be dumped. But not all of the trash was by the garbage can. We have to do better.

Clean and my kids love that they two play structures to choose from.

Sadly due to covid the baseball field was closed. Also seems like the basketball hoops have been removed probably also due to covid. Still that being said it was beautiful and a lot of space to enjoy. Plenty of families there keeping a safe distance enjoying the weather.

Cool spot had the park to myself for a couple hours park is not for beginners in my opinion drop ins are very steep and obstacles are also high and spacing between them seems very narrow

Home town family and friends picnic! Enjoyed seeing people that Ive not seen in years. There was a Jumper, cotton candy & snow cones for the kids, Dominoes & Bid whist for the adults. Lots of great music & dancing! So much food! The cake was so delicious Good time was had by all.

Clean big park. I dont go there other than to along side park while on break but am always in the area riding by, and it is a decent place. Kid friendly as far as I can see.

West Oakland has seen better days. To be fair, the skate park is all the way legit; an urban skaters paradise. Come to think of it, the kids play area was well maintained, with that recycled rubber surfacing that really works to soften the hard landing. Im switching to Four Stars!

Renamed Little Bobby Hutton Park. Has a dope skatepark that works for little ones in the morning but not so much later on in the day. Life is Living Festival hosted every October here too. Where the BPP would run their workouts at, this park has deep roots in resistence. Love this park.

Man where everybodys getting mad and angry and I couldnt find a place for my childrens my childrens love to play so I took him there and its all good childrens the people theyre very peaceful

It is a nice place for kids and families. But it needs some more attention in cleaning and maintenance of playgrounds. The foam carpet on the swing area needs to be renewed or changed.

People were not social distancing! The actual park is supposed to be closed but there were children and adults at the playground

There was a reunion picnic for our high schoolers of Mcclymonds high school on Saturday and it was really AWESOME to see classes before ours (C/O 89) and after!!

This park was hazardous to my kids playing here. There is very poor maintenance there’s a caterpillar infestation. I’ve never seen anything like it, almost every trash can we’re covered with them. The caterpillars were hanging on webs from trees, So you had to be careful where you walked and we had to keep food covered at all times because they were falling. We sat coolers on the ground with our beverages and an hour after being there the bottom of the cooler were covered with them. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this park. It’s THE WORST BY FAR!!!!!!

Historic site with beautiful renovation. Clean, has kitchen. An excellent community event space for mid-size parties.

Black Cowboys Parade... my son was in the drumline...always positive and uplifting, good food, people nice and the weather in Oakland was beautiful

We held our Christmas party here. It was a nice venue. Just a typical recreation center. No big deal or anything special. Plenty of street parking.

The tennis courts could use some work and the lights dont work

Defermery Park has been around since forever for a lot of ppl its the neighborhood park but over but over the years they have built a skateboard ramp and people come from all over to use the skateboard ramp play basketball on the basketball court and they play soccer on the baseball field people can just bring their kids to play here they also have a big house where the kids play recreational games eat lunch the offer summer programs for the kids they also have different things going on in the big house where you can rent the space of you having a gathering

Its always been a great Park to go and have picnics and family gatherings but do be prepared there is a lot of moths flying around all of a sudden

The park is a blessing to the community.

Its a lot of space which is good for pets and there lot of things to do.

Not in the best of areas, played softball, its actually our home field, go figure. They have picnic tables, BBQs, basketball courts. Skate park and baseball fields with lots of graffiti, which doesnt look bad. The bathrooms here are atrocious I do not recommend.

I love this historical park. The Victorian era recreation room a plus. The huge climbable oak trees a plus. This park has everything you need for a local summer cookout.

Great place to swim. My daughter took swimming classes there this summer, hands on and fun

Geese poop everywhere. Playground area has blankets and orange cones on it. I wouldnt bring my kids here to play on the playground. The b - ball court is nice if you like playing in geese poop. The skate portion of it is nice though

Great skatepark

Oakland Black Cowboy Association really make DeFremery Park one of Oaklands finest cultural gathering of the city. For more that 42 years on the first Saturday in October, DeFremery Park has been the host of OBCAs annual parade and festival. Great family fun and excellent food, oh, yes the beautiful horses too. What I love about DeFremery Park, is the fact that its a PEOPLEs Park and NO DOGS ALLOWED. I love dogs.

Only one swing but larger children. Children that are there are bullies. Not really much to do.

Great Place to spend time with Family and Friends!Occasionally Fairs are held in the ground. You also reserve the place for special occasions!
