Very beautiful and iconic bridge, most of the people on the bridge are kind and respectful of traffic even thought both cyclist and pedestrians essentially sharing one path.Youll at least see 5 people on the bridge taking photos and some who do photo shoots during sunrise. I had waited for an hour before sunrise for a group of 3 people with some studio lights to come during sunrise and block the area I was planning to photograph but I still manage to capture some other amazing photos.

If you are in NY for vacation or for a business trip, and you are looking for an amazing experience you have to go to the Brooklyn bridge!A great way I know to get to the Brooklyn entrance is by taking the A or C train to the High Street-Brooklyn Bridge subway stop. Follow the signs for Cadman Plaza West and Cranberry and Henry Streets. Cross to the park, and take the footpath that is on the far left. The pedestrian stairway will be under the bridge. The bride is 1.5 miles long so prepare yourself to get some exercise, but there will not be a dull moment. The bride is about has a 130 ft elevation so you can see all of Manhattan and a great view of the statue of liberty in the far distance and well as New Jersey.Just make sure you walk along the predestine side of the walk way because cyclists as not very happy when you walk on their side, and they will not slow down for anybody. Every time we travel to New York the Brooklyn Bridge is a most visit because its amazing anytime of the day, its open late, and you will get an amazing work out.If you are taking small children they will probably get very tired because its quite the walk. So make sure you take a stroller or prepare them for the trip before. There are no bathroom on the bride so beware and prepared.

Wow! What an amazing bridge with an incredible design! Ive always wanted to go visit this bridge and it did nothing disappoint. The walk across is about a mile. We took the subway from Manhattan to Brooklyn and walked back across to Manhattan. It was an easy walk and there are plenty of benches across the way to stop and rest if need be. You can also ride you bike across if youd like. There is a lane for walking and a lane for biking. If youre in New York this is a great place to visit. Lots of cool photo taking opportunities as well of the bridge and the NYC skyline.

Walking the Brooklyn bridge is an experience you will not forget. Early morning or at dusk is a great time to walk the bridge. Be mindful of the bicycle lane. Stay in the pedestrian lane. The walking bridge is on top of the traffic lanes and very safe. You will see amazing views of the city from the bridge.

The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on a lot of businesses and public places since a consumer’s mindset to buy anything outside of essentials or to visit a public place like a park or beach, has crippled down significantly. Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind.Ticked off one of the milestone places of NY when we finally got here. We parked elsewhere and were on a complete walking tour of the NYC from WTC to Brookfield place, when we decided to walk to the famous Brooklyn bridge. It was a good 15 minutes walk and we followed Google maps for directions and got a chance to try a route that took us to a fleet of stairs on the Brooklyn bridge promenade street. After walking for another 10 minutes, we finally reached the epicenter on time for the sunset. The view was gorgeous to say the least and the bridge was bustling with tourists and fitness freaks who were driving their bikes on the designated bike path. Most of them wore their masks and maintained social distancing but some of them seem like they just woke up from a long winter hibernation and didn’t give a damn about safety. The nightly view of NY’s downtown on the left and midtown on right was a treat to the eyes. If you look keenly, you will even notice the Statue of Liberty as a micro figure behind the downtown buildings.PS (Piece of advice) - Hold your mobile tight if you are enjoying the view by leaning on the bridge as one of my friends once dropped his mobile straight on the road and watched a car drive over it.

Always make sure to stay on the pedestrian/walking side of the bridge – there are bikes on the other half of the bridge :) See more photos from the Brooklyn Bridge at meganandkenneth.com

I saw this one in many old Hollywood films which might be the reason for getting excited to see it. Along with the other few bridges of NY city, some bus trips offer crossing this bridge in the evening or at night. We also had a ride in metro rail which goes through this bridge. I think the styles on the pillars are called Gothic. There was a huge sticker of this bridge from Manhattan was there on the body of our carrier, and we saw the exact view once.

Walking on both is tantalizingly exciting. Its a lot like walking through Hollywood history! The perennial rumble of cars going beneath you is very exciting actually. Built between 1869-1883. One of the major tourist attractions in NYC. Its stone towers are neo-Gothic, with characteristic pointed arches.

Start your journey on the bridge that connects New York City to downtown Brooklyn and beyond. The most ideal way to see this hybrid stable-cable/suspension bridge is not to drive across. Rather, to understand the bridge’s majesty, you need to stroll across its span. The walk takes an hour to do. As you walk you’ll get a genuine feeling of how this historic bridge has connected downtown Brooklyn to Manhattan Island, helping to create a cohesive NYC!

I love architecture, photography, and walking so I decided to walk over Brooklyn Bridge to Brooklyn. Stay on the pedestrian side or you will get an earful from cyclists. Due to the pandemic there aren’t a lot of tourists out. Those that were, were mostly wearing masks. I was pleasantly surprised to get pictures of the bridge architecture without people in them (thank you COVID). I walked down to Brooklyn Bridge Park for wonderful views of both Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge. There’s a small beach where you can sit and eat your takeaway food or have an ice-cream. Walk over to Jane’s carousel and take a ride (if open). On your way back there are some nice shops and restrooms. Then find your way to the pedestrian walkway over Manhattan Bridge. It isn’t as populated as Brooklyn Bridge, but it’s definitely grungier. You’ll get some great views of Brooklyn Bridge through some cut-outs in the chain link fence. They were doing some fence replacements as I was walking over, which narrows the walkway in certain spans. As you get to the end, you end up in Chinatown. Re-energize with some baked goods! I recommend having the NYC Subway app to assist you with nearby stations and routes. This ended up being about a 4-mile walk.
