This building on 42nd. Street between 9th& 10th Avenue has several small theaters I saw today a play called Checkov/Tolstoy love stories. Most of the plays presented by the various theater companies are usually off beat, either experimental theater or something like that. The building is close to the Port Authority bus station, the subway and various bus routes. There are parking lots in the area but finding street parking would be difficult

Convenient and cozy, this is a great place to catch Off-Broadway productions and other events. The show I saw (The Gravediggers Lullaby from TACT) was in The Beckett and it was comfortable seating-wise. Even though the stage wasnt huge, it made up for it with strong production quality. Theres a lot that can be done with the space.

Lovely cozy intimate theater experience. There are two theaters here. My brother, cousin and I saw the off-Broadway musical the Marvelous Wonderettes. We loved the show and appreciated the comfortable seats in the little theater and the comfortable seating in the area for theater goers to hang during intermission. We had a pleasant theater experience.

A vertical Mall of small comfortable theaters - currently under a needed renovation - these spaces are rentals so production quality varies considerably. Good but slow elevator

Lo
Review №36

The theater was cold, small and uncomfortable. The play, if you want to call it that, was terrible. Ive seen high school plays that were much better. If you go to Times Square to buy tickets they send their staff members there to impersonate half price ticket staff telling you that the play is critically acclaimed, which is a lie. Sadly we were dupped by them. Hope this will help others not to get scammed

Small theatres, with seating that slightly passed my low expectations. I need good leg room and I actually fit in the seats, which was a nice surprise. The restrooms were my biggest complaint.
