This place was super crowded when I went with a few friends last Friday. We get in line and are on the guest list so we didnt think getting in would be an issue, but the bouncer asked (ever so subtly) to be greased (NY is not Vegas!!), so I was immediately turned off by that.Once we got in, the place had a decent vibe, the DJ was adequate, but nothing crazy. I thought the atmosphere would be more loungy and conducive to talking. It was not.

Great club with stunning dance floor. Smaller back bar area with booths and appreciate the storage for bags and purses so we could dance! Drinks were ok. Music mix was good. Definitely a fun club to hit up if you know a promoter.

Super fun place on Saturdays, no BS, $15! Really good and mixed crowd, lots of space with two floors but the stage always gets super crowded with crowd surfers and barely 18 girls. Still, a good place for a chill night and cheap drinks!

Went to see Elephante a while back. The concert was great and tickets were a super fair price. The major down side was the drinks were super expensive, which is why I think tickets were so cheap because they know you will spend a small fortune on your drinks.

My friends and I decided to come here because we were looking for a bar to dance and have fun, and we were so glad we found this place! This is definitely one of the most interesting bars Ive been to. The decor in the bar reminds me of a circus almost, lots of fur..lights...and a cage? lol. We went on a Saturday night and the DJ was playing a lot of R&B and pop remixes. Everyone was dancing and having a great time! Would recommend if youre into vibey bars with cool decor.

I love waiting for the geyser to spew out water; posing and capturing my shadow with high speed camera; marveling at the toothpick sculpture by Scott Meyer and last but not least, the very fun giant mirror!Factor in CH3CH2OH (The most important molecule to know from organic chemistry) and you got yourself a match made in Janice C. Heaven!! ;) my only complaint is, there arent enough bars to get your drink here versus Cal Academy nightlife.If it gets too stuffy inside, dont forget to check out the breathtaking views of the bay bridge and Alcatraz from their outdoor patio.For only $10, your Thursday nights will never be boring again.

Ah bootie. Something to experience at least once during the time you live in NY. Get to bootie before 10PM, then go across the street to butter for jello shots or your drink of choice, before getting back across the street an hour later.

Went there with my friends for my birthday and we had a blast. The music was so perfect. They played the old and new music we really like. We had an amazing time. Everything was in order. We did not wait a long time to get in or drinks. Great times.

Ten dollars for water. Not even a full size water bottle. My boyfriend broke out in sweat and fainted on the ground. Security was nice and didn’t kick us out thankfully. I’d give 5 stars if this place wasn’t so crowded and a rip off.My BF has low blood pressure and faints at needles. But ten dollars for water to cool him down? Ridiculous. We should sue.

The only upscale thing about this club is prices. I went there for 2020th New Years Eve to see DJ Kaskade performance . Everything beside the music and special effects was pretty disappointing. It felt like the club was filled multiple times over its capacity. Security was pushing people like an animals to get by. I’ve never got myself a drink or used a bathroom simply because it was to tight to move through the dance floor. And yes , I’m aware that New Years Eve night is tough and crowd can be unpredictable. However , you can definitely control how many people let inside the venue and how to treat guests properly to make them feel at least semi welcome . 3 out of 5 just for good music .

Promoters only interested in pushing in female-aligning people. Came with a friend, but got separated as we walked in. There was no communication and I was pushed into a separate entry. Inside I realized it was a line to pay cover, my friend being allowed in free since she was a girl. My issue’s not with the cover fee, but being separated from the person I came with, who was given treatment because of a gross objectification of women. Strongly recommend not going to a place that pushes out such problematic vibes

Very cool experience. Nice staff, the DJs were awesome(Morden Machine and Tritonal) and the people were electric. We love this place way better than Lavo.

Great venue. Showcases major international and local djs like Tiesto, Gareth Emery, Alan Walker, Steve Aoki and more. Amazing light displays, even on the ceiling using automation to sync the TV sized video led screens to the music. VIP tables with group packages which various bottle allotments and food per group all-inclusive according to price and guests for package purchased.

The sound quality is pretty bad, that was the first thing I noticed when I walked in. Very expensive and honestly dont think is that worth it. The music was pretty bad, not my kind of music, a lot of commercial music and reggaeton. Also, the staff is pretty rude too. Not sure Id go back.

Had a great time in the beginning of the night although the club was quite packed and difficult to dance around. I will say the staff was quite unprofessional as they often pushed customers around throughout the club. My party paid for the VIP booth and the management tried overcharging us by thousands of dollars.Would probably not come back.

Been once was a fun time. Would go back. A bit small so can get crowded but my experience everyone seemed to be having a good time. Not to pushy like some other places.

I’ll start by saying that the music and sound was good, and the venue is cool. If they just hired a new security staff, this would probably be a 5 star review. These people are literally the worst kind of people you could meet. I’m going to the Brooklyn Mirage from now on, it’s worth the longer trip. Actually anywhere in Brooklyn is worth the trip to avoid this ridiculous place that treats it’s customers like garbage.

I dont know why this place gets such a bad rep! Compared to other clubs in midtown (lavo) the bouncers here are all super courteous and friendly. The club is a two story building however when I went on friday and saturday nights back to back there must have been at least 800 people inside. Dancefloor gets really annoying with everyone trying to shove through. Better to stay on the top floor, bartenders are nicer and you actually have room to move

Wated outside for 2 hours to be separated from my friends because they were girls, and while they got straight in I was left just twiddling my thumbs outside. My problem isnt that they got in and I didnt I was upsetat the sexist segregationists that would rather exclude a paying customer because of gender.

Amazing Club but prices are just crazy for drinks

The venue had nice lighting deco but that was about the only nice part about it. Event was $25 online but when ticket sales ended and I tried to call them to see if they had tickets at the door and what price no one would answer the phone. Upon arriving and waiting in line for almost an hour we found out it was $50 for admission and it was nearly 1am already. Looked good online so we went for it. Coat check was 5 bucks and they tried to ask for a tip after we gave them the coats.We got in just to find out there as absolutely no space to dance at all packed shoulder to shoulder practically and the music was so loud we couldnt even begin to try and enjoy it from the dance floor as it hurt our ears, and I go to lots of shows, Ive never experienced uncomfortably loud music before. The djs were trash, they both played only pop hits and both had dj add and wouldnt give you more than 30-45 secodn9of any given song. Oh and both djs played gasoline followed by tiky toki or whatever its called. Among other repeated songs. The second djs sounded fun and disco on his soundcluod but live did nothing bit hit songs amd couldnt stick to any track long enough to feel like dancing . Oh and the drinks were expensive, 13 bucks for a small glass of wine... Not my cup of tea. If you got only ome night in Manhattan dont go here unless you are basic af and loaded on expendable cash and dont care about space to dance. It ruined my night with my girl.

Love the event space and the music was great for DJ Private Ryan’s soca starter. The vibes were good and we had a great time but the drinks were a bit overpriced at about $20 each cocktail.. bought a round for 3 friends and with tip came up to damn near $100.. a bit too much imo. Worst club experience ever. Bouncers are rude and terrible people. The bouncer stole my drivers license and refused to return it until I called the cops. Even after watching multiple out of state IDs get accepted he took mine tried to bend it to the point of breaking, and scratched it up. Next puts me in a new line for a hour until I get up front again and this time tells me I can’t get in and then grabs my ID and pockets it. He refused to return my ID, talk to me or acknowledge my existence (it’s also drivers license I need to leave the city).After calling the cops and talking to them they finally pull out their book and verify it and throw it back to me. Utterly the worst night I’ve ever had and truly upsetting.Take notice at other reviews of this club. Many also have similar rude experiences with this club including treatment of women in general. After witnessing the club employees I can confirm they only cared about who had bottle service or was paying the most.

Their website says they’re open Wednesdays. We spent 77.50$ in bus fares and taxi fares to get to Marquee last night. Lo and behold, the entire place is shuttered. Maybe next Wednesday (you know, when you’re closed) you can use the time to learn how to use the internet so future patrons don’t get screwed.

The worst venue ever. Cant stand anywhere bc employees constantly pushes you. Most of the dance floor is occupied by vip seats and cant even walk anywhere.

Great party spot! One of the biggest clubs in New York. Make sure if you’re with a group of girls you meet a promoter so you can get in free or just walk through the guest list line and ask to be put on list. It’s big enough that even when it’s packed it’s easy to walk around. A lot of bottle service tables with the biggest being closest to stage. Restrooms are also for the most part kept clean, but the line will be long. Drinks are expensive, so just prepare to face the typical New York price.

The Apex of American Nightlife. This is something you will be telling your kids about one day.

If you’re coming here for a rave I would not recommend it - unless you like packed crowds and the inability to move or dance.If you got that connect / $$$ and can get a table then this might be fun, but I didn’t have that experience

Two complaints about this place: music is way too loud. I forgot my earplugs the night I went and my ears were ringing for at least a day after. The scene is way different than if you were to go see electronic music in Bushwick at a place like elsewhere or Avant gardener. Its more people looking to go to a club than fans of the DJ. Makes for a much less fun experience even if the music is awesome.

The music was really good, and the bartenders were nice too. However the place is too overpriced and the staff was just so so rude. They treat you like as if you have escaped from the prison. They really don’t know how to talk to or behave with the ladies, shoving and pushing you to keep the crowd in control. Lame! And the music in the front is just too loud, I experience ringing in my ear now after 12 hours!

This club is one of the better clubs in NYC. The energy here is great. There is good crowd flow and the staff is really professional. The DJ talent has been excellent every time I have been here. I would recommend this place if you are found to go clubbing in NYC.

They have some great DJs come through and they have an amazing sound and light setup. My one recommendation: free water. After someone spends a ton of money at the bar ($20 drinks) don’t charge $10-$20 for a water. A tap water station would have been perfect.

Came with a friend and got in no problem. Crowd was 90 percent Asians sprinkled with some euro tourists. 9 dollars for a soda water (no joke). They charge you $5 for every single item you leave at coat check no matter how small. Its not exclusive, its a joke. I dont mind paying good money for a quality experience but this was not even close to being worth the money.

I love Marquees dance club, I would recommend anyone to go here and have fun, ladies are free after a certain time at night on Fridays I think after 11pm you can call and find out its very fun they have 2levels of dance floors bottom level is Spanish music and upstairs is mixed music from throwback to new music its very fun and never had a problem at this club before always have good times..If you have any questions let me know be more then welcome to answer them for u Thanks

One thing that will probably make me never visit this place is that security just randomly pushes people if they need to create space. It is very inappropriate to get pushed forcefully not expecting that it would happen. I think everyone deserves being asked at least once to move, guests are not able to predict how security wishes to organize the space in the club.

This place has a very rapey vibe to it. after 2 am, even the bouncers are high fiving the men who just openly gropped you in front of them. I don’t know what it is about this place but the men are very trashy. While the artists and sound systems are great, as a woman it’s not worth it.

This by far the best club in NYC. The sound system is first class, the design, the environment, everything. Quite an experience.

Worst service I ever received at a club security was rude putting his hands on Females and saying “your being aggressive” when he was the one who was being very aggressive towards the patrons. Then he smacked the phone when we were trying record his nasty behavior he’s lucky we didn’t report him to the police and press charges for harreassement. STAY AWAY FROM this nasty club no space to walk around , staff is disrespectful.

Terrible and very unprofessional service. I wasnt let inside by the big dude with the beard at the front because according to him my ID was fake. LOL my ID is indeed real with my real name and birth date. You know how upsetting it is to not be let in and be told that is not your real information... Extremely. He was extremely rude and definitely couldve handled this situation in a more professional manner. When I tried to talk to him about it all he did was ignore me, and then was confused and upset when I started getting upset lol. This man is full of himself. I let all my friend knows about this upsetting experience, and took my business somewhere else at the end of the night and did not regret it! Heard the music was bad here anyway.

It’s a classic old style disco place with bottle service, few dancing with the ladies at the start and then all guys on the dance floor.Good sound system, dancefloor is nice till it gets too crowded. Ive been going to Marquee for about a year whenever they have DJs I like. This place never disappoints. It has an incredible sound system, state of the art lighting effects, and friendly staff/bouncers. Im also impressed with their customer service; I bought a second ticket by accident and they gave me a full refund on it with no questions asked. Highly recommended if you enjoy dance music.

Club itself its pretty cool but way over priced and dont accept debit? Im from Canada didnt bring enough cash tried paying debit but was not accepted! Beers were $12 a beer USD and did not have Budweiser selection was very limited! Wont be back! Also coat check told me if I had to bring my sweatshirt down afterwards dont worry about it when I did they said that will be another $5 USD I said nvm wore my sweatshirt the rest of the night! This place is so bad that nobody would ever want to go again. The security guy is rude and uneducated. They dont care about any of their customers.

Please avoid this place. If you don’t get bottle service you will be treated like a peasant. They will pack you like a 2nd class citizen on a tiny dance floor. Most importantly, people that work here, i.e. the bouncers here have no customer service skills and will kick you out for no reason.I have been in the club scene for over 10 years, Vegas 5x, Ibiza 3x, Marquee in Vegas 3x, London 4x. Moreover, Amsterdam, Utrecht, LA, Barcelona, Thailand, Seoul, Mumbai, these are just to name a few more. And not once in my life was told to leave the club, especially within the 1st 10 minutes waiting in the coat checking line. A short person standing next to me had a a small 4 oz whiskey bottle and offered me to try it. As soon as I try it, without any warning or anything, the bouncer grabbed the bottle and then told me and my girlfriend to leave. Keep in my I paid $65 dollars at the door to get in and was checked extensively by the bouncers at the door. Why in the heck would I bring in bottles from outside.the bouncer refused to even communicate with me and try to find out bottom cause of this.Recommendation: Go to Lavo instead if you like this kind of scene.

Great place to enjoy

You would think the bouncers would be stoic, as they typically are at normal clubs. But no! Not here. They go 10 steps further, going as far as to be utterly and completely physically abusive. Every so often you get hit by one bouncer or another holding a tiny flashlight, paving their way through the crowd by bulldozing everyone in their way. If you’re lucky, you might even be shoved out the door! Without a call to action, they seem to have been born this way. The music was awful. The place was incredibly crowded. What are the bouncers even there for if not to curb the amount of people in the club haha. Additionally, coat check is 5$, that’s normal! BUT! Be careful, because if you forget cash, not only will the atm charge you an extra 5$, it will also NOT give you the cash hahahah. I actually lost 25$ to the atm. And when I reported it to security, his actual words were “who is going to believe you?” I proceeded to beg for MY coat back, before getting kicked out for asking for my 25$ back. The service is truly truly despicable and simply not worth the awful music. Best of luck to anyone trying to have a “good” night here. Additionally, a girl who worked at coat check essentially asked me for a BRIBE to get my coat back, when I lost my coat ticket! Honestly, incredible service. Thanks for an incredibly AWFUL time.

Nice place , friendly staff, fast service and problem is closed at 11:00 pm so any one need Starbucks after 11:00 will find some branches working 24 hours.Enjoy with good test coffee from Starbucks coffee shops .Please note that : Starbucks have 24000 branches around United States.

Went last night with two friends. Waited in the queue for 2 hours. The bouncers ignored us and the women in front of us the whole time. We asked them after a while how long it would be until we get in, to which they responded “if you pay me let’s say... €150 I might be able to get you in”. After 2 hours we decided to leave, at which point the bouncers started pestering us to go to a strip club they know about, where “you’d defintely be able to get in”. They show complete disrespect for the general public, bribery on the door, and ridiculous waiting times. Avoid.

Music is good but bar tenders sucked at serving drinks and forcing to give tips before you taking pen to sign.

RECCOMEND IT!!! Its a little over priced but really FUN. We went and they had confetti everywhere everyone was screaming super fun

The sound system is incomparable with anything you’ve ever heard in the city, maybe cielo but different audiophile experience. The service is horrid and always over packed. Which is the main problem with most of new york’s clubs.

Been to many nightclubs/festivals, and this place had by far the most rude staff I have ever seen. Way too small of a space to have a good time with people fighting for space, overpriced drinks at nearly $20 a drink, and weak drinks at that. Save your cash and go literally anywhere else, way overrated. Dont give these people your money.

Went and saw Fareoh (a local DJ) on a Friday and the club had a perfect amount of people! We did general admission. Found the bouncers friendly, our bartender was awesome (back bar, female), and the opening DJ AND Fareoh played great sets.I also liked how the VIP tables were amongst the crowd. Did not see the upstairs so could see it being super crowded if that’s also some sort of VIP only. *** But this was an “off” Friday, not a headliner show*** so if that, great place to go. Probably chaos with a big headliner as others pointed out, but we had a great time without VIP.

I really only go to Marquee when Dada Life is playing there. Its nice enough. Theyve put so many VIP tables thats its so cramped theres barely any room to get around once inside. The drinks are so overpriced, youre better off drinking while in line, before you go in. Its about $14 for a beer and about $18-$24 for one mixed drink. If you check your coat it will take you about another 30- 45 minutes just to get it and leave. Ill support Dada Life anytime though!

I will never go here. The promoters and bouncers at Marquee are horrible people. If you want to be on a guestlist, get a VIP table, or even get in they have a spoken policy where you won’t get in unless you look like a model. The promoter requested my social media accounts so he can make sure i wasn’t fat or ugly. No one should be banned from a club because of weight. We just wanted a fun night out, not a modeling job. I couldve went, but im speaking out because its just not cool to do this to people.

I love going to this place to dance! The dj plays dancehall, reggaeton, cumbia and hip hop. Its a fun casual place to just have fun!
