An intimate theater for movies, but not so great for recitals in terms of its acoustics. A spacious lounge space nears the entrance. Restrooms are very cramped. Great accessibility with escalators connecting to the street level.

Real nice. A real nifty spot. Seats are decent, the doorman was cool, said something real funny and it made me smile but I dont remember what he said. And old woman said JESUS. when I asked if anyone was sitting in the empty seat next to her. I guess Jesus was sitting there. I sat there anyways. Jesus mustve been real thin because I didnt even barely notice that I was sitting in his lap for the whole movie. I felt blessed after I left, probably thanks to the holy ghost.

This is a pretty cushy theater! Showcases a lot of speciality films, arthouse, indie, foreign, the whole gamut. I first came here to see the encore show of Portrait of a Lady on Fire at the end of the New York Film Festival. That was so good! And I just went again, this time to see Barking Dogs Never Bite, directed by Bong Joon-Ho. It is part of a New Korean Cinema series that Film at Lincoln Center is showing. The showing was lovely! I really enjoyed the comfortable seating and the acoustics all around. I would certainly recommend this theater; while it did not wow me, it gave me a great cinema experience!

I watched the movie Non Fiction which is an intellectual dialog on print world of literature vs digital publishing and dynamics of both sides as well as it effect on people and life. While going through these dialogs we also get a second layer by joining to the intimate lives of the characters from publisher to writer from broadcasters to politicians. If you are an insider of these dynamics involved or observer for the last 20 years movie doesnt have much to offer accept if you enjoy some humorous love triangles.Movie theater is clean and pleasant. Often used for movie festivals. Membership is available and supplies 33 percent discounts on tickets.

They show some really neat movies here. Sometimes theyll even have directors or actors stop by to talk about the movie thats playing. The film festival is great, too. Definitely a must-visit if youre into movies.

Always enjoyable experience at Walter Reade Theater. Went to a number of films during the annual Asian Film Festival on multiple nights and really had a good time. The theater is a good size, not too big or small, and the seats are comfortable even when viewing movies back to back. Concession stand is available with prices comparable to other theaters. Being part of Lincoln Center makes the location a plus as well.

Pleased with all the films weve seen here so far. Theater is just the right size and doesnt feel too crowded even when its near capacity. My biggest complaint is the mens restroom. The sinks and urinals are literally just inches across from each other, thus making for a very uncomfortable, elbow-bumping experience when theres other people around.

Always worth visiting for quality cinema to be shared with other film lovers!A couple of downsides/ caveats:They can run behind schedule, with films starting quite a bit later than announced; Some patrons are not as well-mannered;Some concessions are seriously overpriced ($7 For a small cappuccino!)

A small, cozy theater with comfortable seats. There are a lot of interesting film programs offered here by the Film Society of Lincoln Center. There is a small concessions stand that carries the basics (popcorn and candy), but also ice cream sandwiches from melt!

For the community service and its Juliard School neighbor, the film center at Lincoln Center is just great. The WRT itself is well maintained and clean, but it is a bit worn and dated. Seats and ammenities are fine; audience patrons can be quirky, bothersome, self-indulgent and very senior (but spunky).

Part of Lincoln Center, and if youre a film buff, or cinephile, you really should get on their mailing list, even if youre from out of town. The film society there hosts the New York Film Festival and more. There are all sorts of themes that are explored, and screenings of rare gems, like Bunels Exterminating Angel ( in conjunction with a new opera based on film).

I love the diversity of the programming at this theater and Film Society. I have laughed, cried, been swept away, blown away, angry and sad and happy at this theater. Not ONE bad seat in the house and seriously one of the few theaters in town where you can tolerate dealing with a respectful movie audience.

Movies here are serious events. Get there early because its likely that they will sell out and they may give up your seat to the standby line or make you sit on a bench in the back.
