I love this theater! There is a lot of room between the aisles and the seats are big and comfy. Most of the time we go during off peak hours and have a huge theater almost to ourselves. It feels so magical and really lets you get lost in the story. The prices are a bit higher than most theaters in the area but the extra room and dome experience is worth the extra green.

Came here today for advance screening for dolittle by amex platinum and black card members. It was first come first seated( no reserved seating). The seats were not recliner, but enough comfortable. The theatre was clean. Movie was good, sound quality was good.

The interior design of the building is pretty cool but with regards to the theater rooms themselves, the seating is cramped, uncomfortable, and could use renovation.

I love this theater. The screen is pretty and they also got IMAX. I was hear earlier for the very first time to watch Avengers Endgame. The associates where very helpful because I had issues with my ticket and one of the associates fixed gave me a pass. This theater is pretty close to the road and can be easily noticed from a vehicle in normal traffic. There’s also wheelchair accessible entrance and toilet for the differently able #FamilyFriendly #Cinema #NYC

Always pleasant until you need to use the restroom. 500 women waiting on stalls while stalls in the mens room are empty. Suggestion? Gender free restrooms and a powder room for ladies who need to primp off to the side. Ive had to use the mens room to avoid an accident. I announced my arrival and reassured them my eyes were closed. They allowed me in and out without a fuss. Listen, people who spend upwards of $40 at the movies arent trying to do funny stuff. We seek entertainment, refreshments, relaxation and relief. I can draw up the plans if you need help to figure it out.Also, now is a good time to do some repairs on seats and armrests as well.Looking forward to returning after the worst has passed. Huge IMAX screen, probably the biggest I’ve seen in NYC. The sound quality is top notch too. This is my go to location for big releases. It can get very crowded for popular movies though so be sure to get tickets way ahead of time.

Saw 1917 at the Dolby theater here. What a great experience. This AMC is fairly themed out and definitely gives you the vibe that youre there to see a movie and go on an adventure. The Dolby theater itself is very big. Sat in row H which ended up being further from the screen than I thought based on the online diagrams but still a great viewing experience. Overall a great place to see a movie! (No bar/alcohol sales at this AMC)

BEST Upper west NYC - IMAX THEATRE.

Almost had a heartattack riding the high escalator but it was worth it! Prettiest movie theatre ever!

The IMAX at this theater is top-tier and earns the rating full stop.Good programming of artisan slate of films.Lower-level theaters are outdated with bad access to concessions. Seating is outdated.

Havent been in this theater since sons were younger( 20yrs )but ! It was worth the wait. Great staff,clean environment. Was there for red carpet event( last Rambo ) plane on returning again. 2dollar water would be better than a 6dollar big bottle of water ? Great place !

I love that this movie theater is far enough from traffic in NYC but close enough to 59th street which is a major subway station. The outside and inside structure of this theater is probably one of my favorites in the city, unfortunately this is not true with the actual movie theaters that are digital. The seats are uncomfortable, if you don’t have a balcony option then the design is a standard “hill” no step ups for rows. They need to update to leather seats with more room and when they do this will be my theater destination always. This theater is known for its movie premieres and many times you can see the starts of the film. Stellaroptics on Instagram.

The only true IMAX screen within a 100 mile radius. That what it feels like. Well kept theater, everything seems to be in working order. Would give a perfect score but I be dont understand how they never have some concession items even with the first showing of the day.

No stadium seating except for Dolby and imax. Names of movies on theatres are wiped off. No reclining seats except for Imax & Dolby. Staff is nice. But feels too old school if you are into that. The place is kept clean though. Overall. Its a preference.

Always has great variety of films and theaters have good sound. Concessions offer lots of choices, but at movie theater prices. El staffed so you dont have to wait in lines

This is the best IMAX screen on the east coast. This was my third time seeing a movie here and its worth the 2 hour drive for me.Everything about it is impressive. The height, the sound and the new laser projection system for a sharper image with more contrast. One of the few theaters left that has a 70mm film projector as well. No recliners but the seats have enough legs room so that youre not kneeing the back of the chair in front of you.Looking forward to my next visit! ️

This is a multiplex theater. Comfortable but seating was tight in the cinema where I was seated. I think some of the cinemas here might have larger reclining seats but Im not sure. Easy to book seats on line. Satisfactory for me but I think the rest room could have been cleaner.

This is a Very Nice Movie Theater with a Tranquil Ambient. Sadly, there is One Major Problem! The SEATS in Many of the Auditoriums are VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. Many of the other AMC Theatres have already placed New Recliner Seats which are Highly Comfortable. Hopefully in the Very Near Future, AMC Lincoln Square 13 will Provide these much needed seats for a more enjoyable and comfortable Movie Watching Experience. It is LONG OVERDUE!!!

I came here to watch frozen2 in laser IMAX, with my wife and kids, and we had a great experience. I sat in seat L4 (back-right side). I thought the seats might be too far away, but Im glad I was wrong. Awesome view, no complaints at all. Also, we had popcorn and a drink. The screen is enormous and the picture is striking, bright and sharp. Everything was clean; bathrooms, seats, floor. Im definitely returning! Of course its damn expensive, but well worth it....

It was great. Only thing was the popcorn tasted dusty.

It is another stylish amc. they named every theatre, such as canal, places..., they display some clothing which it is used in movie. also, they have some interesting mural painting.and they have a lot of ticket vending machine around the lobby, so dont worry about the line wait time.their seats are more comfortable than regular seats, because their seats allow you to recline a little bit. yeah, only a little bit. if you are used to watch movie with reclined seat, it may be a few challenge for you. fortunately, the space between every row is big enough, you can keep your legs straight.the sscreen and the sound effect are not impressive. the auditorium on second floor are better than the auditorium on basement.but they offer a lot of movie show time, if you are A-List member in nyc , you must be here sometime.enjoy the show.

They happened to be premiering Men In Black International the day I went. If I had known, I wouldve went to a different theater - there were too many people getting ready for the event so the registers were not properly manned. Im an A-List member and the A-list line was just as long as the regular line and they had like 2 cashiers. I was there for a 5 pm movie. When I got to the front, she said if I didnt have cash I would have to wait until the register that could take cards freed up, so I just paid with cash. I tried to see if the ICEE flavor I wanted was actually frozen or watery and it squirted on my pants. Went to get napkins and ALL the dispensers were empty. I purchase my tickets in advance on the app and it let me know my theater (theater 5) didnt have recliners, which I thought, would be fine. I posted a picture of my view, it was not fine! Also, the rows were very narrow. Im 57 and my knees were almost touching the seat in front of me. The seat wasnt even comfortable. The people in my row who stayed for the credits had to get up so I could get past them and go into the aisle, I couldnt squeeze past them, which was annoying.

Good experience! I’ve been there a couple of times and always I wanted to drink a coffee the one you offer in the menu, unfortunately I have received many different excuses because they did have it, it’s not the right floor, just in the second floor, etc. if you don’t have coffee please take it off from your menu. Simple!Some rooms are not comfortable and the bathroom in the lower level 2 is not working and the water runs out and that it’s a waste!

This is a movie theater I have gone to for years and I enjoy every movie or most movies that have gone to there.

Hands down the best theater in the city for premium formats. They’ve got a real IMAX (I.e. capable of projecting film - there’s only 4 in commercial operation in the country!). There’s also a new Dolby theater. Would tell you the best places to sit in each, but then it wouldn’t be available for me! The standard theaters could use refurbishment though - no recliners and no stadium seating. However, sometimes I have to go because they get super-limited release films here.

Excellent theater, though IMAX and Dolby theaters are the only ones with recliners. Very nice to have so many movies playing close by; oftentimes movies I want to see are only playing here and at Kips Bay!

The history of this theater is quaint and all but the accommodations could be better. The size of the seats are small, there is little to no reclining and the screen sizes and quality could be better. Especially for the price of ticket for this location

So they tried, some of this place is updated and looks good and then you have the tiny theaters without stadium seating or recliners and your neighbors can’t find their seats because apparently they feel like the letters on the carpet aren’t visible, and I can go on from there, but let’s leave that for another day. Only a place I frequent if I have to, they always have the movies I want to see but at what cost? It’s always something with this place.

I always have a great time at this theater. The themed sections add to the awesome experience. Highly recommend!

Great theater. The ticket attendants are kind, professional and quite patient with helping people get their tickets from the new kiosks. It is so clean and the seats are very comfortable.

Its a big theater but it needs some serious renovation. Seats are way too close in theater 5. I can feel person back on my knee, especially if they lean back. Even if they dont do recliner seats, just new seats. Cant speak for the others. They pop so much popcorn in advance it aint fresh or hot. And fresh popcorn is a 30 minute wait.

This movie theater is NEVER properly cleaned. The floor is always sticky, and there is always a smell in the entire place. Most of the chairs are broken in the regular auditoriums. The rows are also very close together so often the chair in front of you is slamming in to your knees. Customer service is always very slow, and the popcorn is never fresh. Only giving two stars because the Dolby theater has great seats.

I really enjoy coming here, especially since I am a AMC A Lister. The seats in the regular theaters are good enough to be comfortable but it can be a little tight if you dont want to be close to people. Better check out the signature seating.

One of my favorites in town. I only wish it had the big comfy leather seats in all its theaters. Once you get used to the big ones it makes it hard to go back to old theater style seats. Love the theming of this theater

Excellent movie theater and experience. Went to see Mid 90s and had an unforgettable time. Entire complex is clean with great atmospheres in the theatres themselves. Screens adequate size, seating comfortable. The staff is very accommodating and helpful while the crowds are quiet, but engaged.Cant wait until the release of Avengers 4 to go back. 34th St. AMC is my favorite theater, but because of the closer proximity and its great qualities, Lincoln Square is a close second. Check it out.

This theater is outdated. Yes reserve seating is available but the seating chart makes the room look about 2 times larger than it actually is. The audio is only projected from one area of the theater. So the immersive experience that we all pay for you dont get. On top of that you are on top of everyone else, the theater room is cramped. If they expect us to pay the same rate you would pay at other theaters than we can expect the same quality as the other theaters.

I love the movies and I’ve been to this theatre so many times because it’s very convenient for me and it has a great selection of films. My biggest complaints are: 1)the atmosphere in the lobby where there are always many loiterers and seemingly no security monitoring, 2) no kind of lounge area where you could sit and wait for a friend or a movie to start 3) I think there is one screen that has recliners, but I think they should update more of them as customers expect that if they are paying for a movie theater experience.

This theater gets four stars for creativity and ambiance. Opposed to the expected theater number 1, 2, etc, they have names like Majestic, Capital, etc, which gives it a pop. The concession stand sits in the grand lobby and looks quite impressive. If you have been to other AMC theaters, you are a bit taken aback when you enter your particular screening room. They do not have the signature large red leather recliner chairs. They do have the reserved seating which I have grown to love and appreciate. The sound and quality of the movie was great. Unfortunately the seat I was in had a broken armrest, which kept sliding throughout the movie. Still a great theater with awesome ambiance.

This is the best AMC ever!! I’m part of a movie club and we love this AMC. It’s centric, close to everything and the overall vibe of the area is just amazing. I’ll leave this review with a picture of our movie club. We are expecting to be back soon

Large modern cinema complex with 12 cinema halls. Snacks and drinks available. No seating available in foyer. Ticketing via consoles and credit cards rather than persons !!!

This is my favorite AMC theater in NYC. Very nice inside, true IMAX and the best Dolby auditorium by far. Staff here are pleased to answer any questions you may have. The auditoriums are themed which is a nice touch. If you want a true IMAX experience or any premium format showing.... Come here

My favorite movie theatre in New York City. They show the one or two smaller independent films of the week here as well as the big high profile releases. Its my home away from home as well as the AMC-Empire 25 in Times Square.

Dolby cinema especially is exceptional - but this place needs to do better to direct people where to go for their movies. Once I finally found the theater showing my film, I went inside the door for that theater and swear I still spent 5 minutes and opened 3 more doors before I found where the seats were

Absolutely Love MAC Lincoln Square. There are plenty of theaters to choose from and a variety of movies. I love how they house both a Dolby theatre as well as an incredible IMAX!! The place is clean and the popcorn is Delish! There are modern Coca Cola free style soda machines and icee ones, too! Both are serve yourself!

This was a pretty decent theater. It was raining and we ran out of indoor activities and wanted to see Aladdin so we hopped over here. You buy your tickets electronically on a kiosk. They are assigned recliner seating. I love that. We went to the Dolby sound theater. It was expensive. But it was good. Id pay normal price and go to a standard theater though. The snack line was incredibly long. Took a while to get through. I do like that they have those soda fountains you can customize your drink with.

More items stolen from me at this theater location. They have the worst security possible. There are no signs alerting customers to the rampant stealing going onI feel like I simply can never go there again.

Seats in Valencia are old and tight. Mine badly sagged (I am not overweight) and had a ridge. The fellow in front of my wife leaned back and encroached the space! The bathrooms smell out into the Hall. Needs some help could be nice.

Here is my problem with this theatre... majority of theaters do not have recliner seats..and the one that did, the leg rest did not go up enough..sorry but they need to go look at the AMC Kips bay to see quality seats..I only come here when I need convenience.. please renovate!

This was the second time Ive been to this movie theater n it has been very pleasant each time. I enjoyed the movie, there were no interruptions, only issue was that the subtitles were cut off at the bottom. (Isle of the dog) Otherwise everything ran smoothly n the theater itself is clean. Only thing was that Im use to recliner seats but otherwise its not bad n definitely recommend coming here to watch any movie.

IMAX here is just awesome. Sometimes travel from NJ to NYC to only watch movie here.

My favorite theater in NYC! As soon as you figure out the correlation of theater number to theater name (your ticket will list a number, but the auditoriums themselves are all named instead of numbered; helpful guide on the street level), youre ready for a classic cinema experience. Beautiful facades on each auditorium, nice clean facilities, assigned seating, and a really friendly staff. Great location, too!

Wonderful theater with many screens and the vending machines are the ones with the choose your own adventure beverages with a million choices.Also you can refill as much as you want as far as I know (incuding slurpee type beverages)Joining the Loews rewards program can also be a great option for frequent viewers.

This place is majestic. Well, thats the name of just one of the screens. I like that each screen has its own decor and name. Definitely recommend getting on the AMC A-List! The food is not worth it though. Even though UWS is expensive, eating anywhere around here is more cost-effective than the food here. Go for the experience, but eat elsewhere.

One of the biggest movie theaters in the city but its very quaint. I like that they have concessions on each floor which makes it convenient for getting what you need before the movie. I will definitely return.

Honestly AMC is dropping the ball. There are so many better theaters now like Regal, Showcase and Showplace. I avoid these unless I want to watch a foreign film. With this location I expect a more Regal experience. Oh wait a minute, just go across the street ;)

Great theaters with awesome screens and comfy lounge seats. The seats are starting to get a bit dated as it was one of the first to try this model so its short of the 5 start, but otherwise, no complaints.

Love, love , love this movie theater. The restrooms are beautiful and clean. They are huge and rearly ever a line even after the movie ends. I love the theme of this theater and the art work on the walls. My suggestion is not to drive. The parking lots are over priced. Everytime I have choose to drive its been very difficult to find parking on the street. However, public transportation is near by on the 1 train or A,C train to 59th. The area has so many retailers, fast food and restaurants to enjoy before or after your showtime. Central park is also a short walk off. This area in general is great for dates or just a day out.

I actually really like this theater. There’s a cool “theater style” theater there with a mezzanine and everything. It’s no cheaper than any other place but it’s clean and I’ve never had an issue and I’ve done a couple of events there and seen plenty of movies. Would recommend.

The only two things I like about this theatre is the hugest IMAX screen on the planet and location (close to Central Park and in the nice neighborhood). I got used to amphitheater design and here all chairs are set on the flat service which makes movie experience less astonishing (as for me).

The best IMAX theater in town. I think the only true IMAX screen. The screen, the sound, the whole experience was to the max. The best option if you want to see the latest blockbuster at its fullest.

This AMC location also has Dolby theater. Even though this location is seemingly overlooked by AMC regulars, it shouldnt. Make no mistake, the location is hard to find compared to the others in the city but when you find the theater its like a hidden treasure. With grand ceilings and amazing architecture your movie going experience will be one to remember at this location. P.S. The staff are friendly and professional as well. This is probably the cleanest AMC theater Ive been to in the city.

Wow..just wow. The 3d theater is great and all the renovations, superb. Best in all of Manhattan.

I went to watch Bombshell on December 28. The restroom was in acceptable condition when I went to use the facility before going to watch the movie. After the movie I went to use the restroom again and it was a complete mess. Toilet paper was strewn everywhere, there were no toilet seat covers in any of tge stalls and the counters were dripping with water. The theater is also not renovated so the seats were old 80s fabric. There was no one at the Guest Services desk to make a complaint. In todays age of online streaming, Id not waste my time or money to come to this theater. If it werent for the matinee ticket pricing and the $5 off discount I got through the Atom app I would have just waited for the movie to come out on Netflix or Amazon Prime.

This theater has gotten better than what I experienced years ago. It’s much more cleaner and the Dolby theater is a wonder! The seats are comfortable and it’s great for watching movies longer than 2 hours. The amenities are great too. The burgers, fries and chicken fingers can take a while but it’s worth the wait. The staff are kind as well. Will be returning to see Avengers Endgame in the Dolby theater.
