Loved it here. I was lucky enough to spend a few months in the neighborhood hiding from my usual icy Canadian winter and find this gem. Free swimming all day almost every day. Clean safe facility with lots to offer. The most friendliest and helpful staff. Lifeguards felt more like friends that I looked forward to seeing and discussing my next meal with before stupid COVID stole it all away. I miss them dearly and hope they all are doing good. I hope to pick up where I left off soon again.And finally swim with the mermaid.

My favorite NORD Center due to its size and array of activities offered. There are classes that range from ballet to sewing classes. The facility is very clean both indoors and outside. I appreciate the after school program for the local youth.

Hi Everyone! I went to Treme center to give my Neice swim lessons. The overall place is well maintained, clean and free. The staff is friendly and helpful. Ive been going there for years. Never had a complaint. Always a wonderful day there.

Nice swimming pool, open to the public for free!! Wish more cities cared about and invested in the health and well-being of their residents.

Its a pretty good rec center. The staff are friendly the times Ive been there. The pool is huge and a good basketball court. There is a dance studio upstairs and a gym area. Not a big gym area but if you want to work on cardio and do stretching it will work. There is only one weight machine unfortunately. I understand why there are hardly any free weights. Its usually not too busy during the day but this is also when school is still in session. Once school is out then we will see.

My grandson learn how to swim and play the piano there. He loves it. His mother, grandmother and aunt also learn how to swim there.

My boyfriend and I go here often to use the pool. They offer a ton of stuff, all of which is free. Besides the pool, they have an indoor gym and a basketball court. They also offer free classes of various types for children, adults and seniors. Usually the staff is friendly. Normally we have a good time. We did have one experience with one staff member that was rather negative, which is the reason for my 4 stars instead of 5, but we have not let that become a deterrent in continuing to go there. The pool is always clean, as well as the rest of the building, and the outside play area is pretty cool. The play area features some different equipment than Ive seen on other playgrounds. All in all I would definitely recommend this community center to others.

Urban swing class is lots of fun for people of all ages. Classes should be longer and more than once a week at this Center

My first time there. I anticipated to go for a swim after hearing all the good things about this place. After standing in line for 45 minutes, I was then told that I had to go to the back of the line and wait to be registered. After almost 2 hours of standing and waiting. I just left. The woman who worked behind the desk was extremely rude

Make sure you call ahead if you want to use the pool. Their pool hours are constantly changing. They will cancel and close the pool for days at a time without every informing the public. By calling before you go, it will hopefully save you the time of having the drive down there just to see a small flyer posted outside the door informing you that the pool is closed. For a public pool it actually seems that it is never open to the public, even if you find yourself trying to go midday week day. BEWARE!

The pool is well maintained with adequate lifeguard supervision. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Yes, you do have to rinse off before you swim but thats pretty standard with a large facility to keep hair and skin products out of the filters. Ive enjoyed swimming there.

Taking the swim class for adults and the instructor is extremely detailed, helpful, patient. The facility is fairly large and clean.

Great for a fast workout.The facility is very clean and close to downtown adjoining the rear of Armstrong Park, and the staff is nice.There is also a swimming pool with instructors.

Wonderful Rec center with a great history.

The lifeguard was rude and they have plenty of useless rules, but once you actually get to swim its pretty nice. Had to go 6 times and only swam once. They do offer pool arobics though.

Just started Water Arobics and am very happy to find NORD at Treme. It meets all my criteria: fabulous instructor, perfect water temperature, plenty of space to spread out, students that want to work out (instead of talking) and motivating music. I have tried the programs at Elmwood and they did not work out for various reasons. Warren, one of the instructors, makes class fun and gives a great work out. He keeps everyone engaged and in check. The students in the class are friendly but are there to exercise foremost and that’s why I’m there too. Lastly the program is free!!! I am glad I found NORD.

What could be better than a place to workout for free?

I go here to swim, but what always amazes me is how much community outreach goes on. Every time I am up there, the wonderful people at the check in desk are directing people where to go, and being far more personable than any gym or pool I have ever been to.
