Its worth your time & money. Thanks for creating this space. Its truly appreciated!
Great place if you want to learn the history of New Orleans dealing with African Americans. They are in the process of updating the other museum across the street. Hopefully the next time im in New Orleans the museum will ve open for full service. Check this place out if you have the time.
All is a Blessing! #LOVEmyNewOrleans #RespectTheVoodoo #HistoricTreme
Outstanding host of local artists and social justice activist discussions
Beautiful sacred space. A must see in NOLA
Amaizing museum, they are renewing a lot of american american hiatory there.
I loved the art work & it was great to explore
There was no guide or anything, after being highly recommended by a NOLA native. Fourty bucks later. Very disappointing
My grandparents old house. The museum was fantastic but is now closed. The house is starting to get into disrepair as well. Its a shame. I hope they can fix it up again as it is certainly a historical landmark and a wonderful place to spend your childhood at with my grandmothers Gardens and my grandparents paintings that they restored throughout the house. Good luck for that beautiful old house and I hope it becomes the museum again soon.
Very inimate. Learned a lot.
Im very excited about this place reopening.
Small But Nice!
Was a little disappointed in it. Not much African american culture to see
Need to know history
Very nicely done
The guided tours at the New Orleans African American Museum was very informative. I learned some new history about slavery. The museum artifacts are very unique. I really enjoyed the Treme Walking Tour. We saw the film locations of HBO TV Series Treme. Treme is the oldest Black neighborhood in the United States.
They were not open
Loved it
Closed not there anymore
Still under construction
Unfortunately Closed.
