We had planned to host our wedding reception at the Orpheum Theater October 2020 but COVID restrictions in Orleans Parish prevented that from happening. We were so disappointed because up until we had to cancel we had the best customer service experience. Trisha was so helpful the entire way and I knew I could trust her with my wedding reception because she was so kind, diligent, and detail oriented. She didnt even need to sell us on the Theater because it was so beautiful inside how could we refuse? All my questions were promptly answered and I had no concerns! It would have been a great event but Im leaving this review because I was truly blown away by the amazing treatment I received over the 9 month planning period from Trisha and the Orpheum staff.

We had a full corporate event buyout there this week and it was awesome! All of the attendees loved it! The new basement they added is really cool and was a hit for our guests. We had the Marriott cater the food and it worked out great! The sound acoustics are incredible and the view from up top is excellent! Staff was friendly and easy to work with from beginning to end

Saw Book of Mormon here some time back; gorgeous auditorium, really makes you feel special and heckuvan experience. Totally worth catching a play, show, what have you. Support the local arts!!!!!!

My wife and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Orpheum. Its a beautiful venue and the staff was superlative in accommodating our plans. The acoustics of the place is a nice bonus for a live band!

This was a beautiful theater! We sat in the balcony for the Death Cab for Cutie show. There were many bars set up and the bathrooms were very clean. The only two complaints that I have are that the security for the event seemed confused about where certain people could and couldnt go and that the space between seats on the balcony level were very tight quarters. Other than that, we had a great time here!

Gorgeous theater with amazing acoustics! We flew in from Northern Michigan for the Damien Rice concert and it was phenomenal. Sometimes it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop hard to believe that many people were in the theater. Really enjoyed my visit!

Great show loved Sid Noel! Only problem was the short time of being in the theatre after the show. There should have been more time for people to socialize there instead of being forced out so early.

Beautiful theatre, , its like a step back in time of real glamour. I was there for the Big Easy Entertainment Awards and i t was fabulous!

We were in the gallery (nosebleeds) and still had a decent view. Its a nice compact theater. They had bar service on the same level which is nice. Pricey drinks (crown and coke $12) but thats normal. If you stay downtown you can probably easily walk here.

I have seen a handful of shows at The Orpheum since their remodel. It is one of the prettiest venues in the city and they work hard to put on a great show. The lighting is superb. Sound could be better, especially vocals. They are often blown out when youre close to the stage. Audio from the back of the room is crisp and clear and often worth sacrificing a good sightline. The floor is slanted so all beer slides to the front of the room. Be prepared to stand in a slick puddle at standing shows.

Incredible venue in New Orleans! I saw Ghost and had the best seats in the house.

My first time at the Orpheum in New Orleans, it was an awesome venue. It didnt appear to have a bad seat anywhere and the conveniently located bar was nice with a helpful and friendly bartender.

This venue is PERFECT for a concert. The acoustics were awesome. J would recommend going to the balcony as you will have space to move around and have a seat if your feet get tired. Saw Slander here and it did not disappoint. I also love NOLA and this place is amazing.

I went here to see the band Lord Huron, and the venue was great! I liked the atmosphere a lot!

It is a nice building with interesting architecture. I was there to see a comedy show that was a lot of fun. They had really nice bathrooms but the interior layout of the lower level where the show was held was a little wierd.

Excellent and historic venue. Amazing it survived this long. Note there is a newly opened lounge in the basement with good reviews.

Excellent staff. Venue is very well kept. Seats are stadium standard and end up being quite easy to watch a 2+ hour performance on.

The orpheum is great for private events. Very accommodating, fun atmosphere, and theres a new speak easy themes bar in the basement that nobody wanted to leave

What an amazing venue! It was gorgeous on the inside and out. I saw Ghost for the first time and they were phenomenal.

I was at a ball. There was an open bar, but only finger sandwiches to eat. Who has an open bar and finger sandwiches? That isnt the Orpheums fault. They were generally gracious.

Great venue/stage layout. The floor is at a fairly steep angle so people in the back can enjoy a good view. Sound was great. I look forward to attending more live shows here.

Saw a comedy show here and enjoyed it check out the bar downstairs which is a speakeasy to get good drinks and great atmosphere.

Review of the management of this theatre:They blocked the whole sidewalk, not letting pedestrians pass through. Private security asks people walking by to cross the street without providing any traffic control or pedestrian safety whatsoever. Doing so in a very rude manner I might add. Shameful.

Had a great time watching the Adventure Zone: Live in New Orleans. Only complaint is that the aisles are extremely narrow, at least on the balcony.

Beautiful theater great sight lines even the nosebleed but be seats were small very little leg Room if you have badd knees here in trouble.

The Orpheum Theater has spacious and comfortable seats. Also, the view from the second level is just as good as the bottom section. The staff members were very helpful and pleasant which made for an even more wonderful experience.

The historic beauty of the theater is a must see destination, but the calendar of performances is even more awesome. The theater is very accessible with excellent parking choices nearby. The art decor style remains beautifully prominent while the building itself was updated after Katrina. Acoustics are amazing.

Great renovations on a New Orleans historic theater. The seats are a bit uncomfortable, the staff members can get confused on where the seats are located, there are only a few seats in the house that arent good views of the stage. Everything is neat and clean.

The theater is small but beautiful. However, the cooking smell of popcorn is very strong and because concession is right near the entrance there was a Smokey haze in the air.

Seats on the balcony have an incredibly small amount of legroom, less than an airplane. Im 62 and had to sit sideways so that my knees were turned, otherwise they wouldnt fit. It was very very hot inside the theater itself, but cool as soon as you went though the doors to go to the stairs, bars, and restrooms. Also had almost no reception with Verizon. The theater has a Guest Wifi network but its locked?

Enjoyed the Nutcracker tonight. Lots of work put into it.

Brother had wedding reception there it was beautiful and the team was so attentive to us. We had over 350 guest!!

You can feel and hear the history and art there. Amazing and classy. However, there are several drawbacks: First, the side balcony seat will suffer not seeing the full stage because of the installed big black speakers on both sides of the theatre which are blocking the view to the stage especially is the performance is using a projector screen. Second, the leg space between the seats and the balcony edge is so tiny and makes you annoed and uncomfortable the whole time of the show. If those two issues would be solved, it will make an awesome improvement to the whole experience.

The theater had a lot of history and charm, great acoustics, and was much cleaner than other venues Ive been to. However, even Spirit & Alleigent airlines give you more legroom than you have on the balcony. That plus the fact that it feels like they oversold tickets put a slight damper on the concert.

Beautiful old theater/music hall with good acoustics. Wonderfully restored. The seats not as comfortable as I would like, but it is an old style hall.

My bad experience is with ballet..Too overvalued for what it was..The people performing wasnt bad, it was pretty decent, except that the floor where they have to perform makes A LOT, and i mean A LOT of noise when they are jumping, running or as simple as walking.In general they should teach manners to the people who come see a show. They sant you to turn off your phone in case someone call you but how the h# you turn off 3-4 babies crying or making noises without any respect for the people who came here to watch?People who doesnt even respect the silence, eating, talking, CLAPPING all the time, laughing. Was it really a ballet dance, or was I just wasting 100$ for 2 seats?It is my second time seeing ballet.I got amazed seeing the nutcracker in Spain, which they are Less polite as Ive heard over here, but compared to this.. Ild never visit something like this again.Im completely disappointed.

Ordered via the app had an additional wait when I got there past the time promised and my order still was incorrect. I had drive back to the store 15 mins away. They however gave me free crazy bread for the inconvenience.

Show gets four stars but the place gets two stars for those too small seats.

I went to see Alt-J at this venue. I had a 3rd floor balcony seat and was still very happy with my view and the sound quality.

A beautiful, first-rate, historic theatre. The marble stairs would be hard to duplicate, or--, heaven forbid--to replace. The lighting and acoustics are great! There isnt a bad seat in the house!

Beautiful venue in the heart of New Orleans. Interior space was gorgeous! From the marble floors to the very intricately designed ceiling, there was always something to gaze upon that might catch your attention. Truly blessed to get 2 nights of Dave Tipper playing in that amazing place.

Even though the LPO is an outstanding orchestra, the theater itself is too small. The acoustics are great and it is very intimate, but the space between rows feels like basic economy seating in a crowded plane. Some more leg space would make it perfect

Saw the Louisiana Philharmonic here last week. The show was fantastic! This is a review of the theater, not the show... I was seated in Row PP on the balcony. Seat location was great and youre very close for being high and in the last row.The worst thing though is the space between the seats. Im 60 and I literally had to sit sideways the entire show! Thank god I had a seat on the aisle otherwise it would have been the most uncomfortable 2 hours of my life.The theater is beautiful and acoustics were great, however they should consider a remodel and expanding leg room.

It’s a beautiful venue! I’m 6’1 and the balcony seating is VERY tight and uncomfortable (knees are pressed into the back of the seat in front). The orchestra seating is more roomy.

Great venue. Parking right next door. Outstanding bathrooms. Confortable seats with good views and acoustics. Only complaint is about the concession stand. They were not prepared to serve the people. Overall a great place.

The Orpheum had been beautifully restored. Going there is an event in itself if you love getting dressed up to go out, and love historic buildings. I look forward to attending a musical performance at the Orpheum. The event I attended was a world premiere of a film documentary during the News Orleans Film Festival. It was very exciting to be there!

The LPO was spectacular as always. The lovely, one hundred year old Orpheum Theater is exquisite. Amazing experience!

I love the architecture and ambience of the theatre. I was transported by the orchestra in that theatre and I have only fond memories of the event. The theatre was immaculate with all the chairs in great order. There is also a bar at the entrance for those who want their wine and cocktail.

Came here to see Damien Rice. Its a great venue for a concert. Seating was comfortable and they serve alcohol.
