Oh my god are really the only intelligible words that I could make when walking through here. There is so much history and important ACTUAL PRINTS AND PIECES from the photographic greats here! It was such an amazing experience and the gentleman working the gallery at the time was lovely. Really social and we had a great talk. I dont want to spoil anything but if you appreciate photography or are a photographer and youre in New Orleans, this is a non negotiable must see.

This gallery is a must see stop for any photography lover. Youll see museum quality photographs by internationally famous photographers (Ansel Adams, Salgado). The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The Gallery of Fine Photography is my favorite place in the Quarter.

Great stop, especially if you have any knowledge of photography. They have an Ansel Adams photo he printed among some fine other photos.

I’ve been visiting this gallery since I was in college in NOLA. I love this place. If you are a fan of photography, this is an amazing place to visit.

One of the most magical places in all of New Orleans. Original Ansel Adams, Salgado, and the Curtis orotones are just breathtaking. The curator really took the time to explain the photos to me and share in my enthusiasm. This will be a “must go” every time I visit New Orleans. I will never forget the beauty I experienced- what a special place.

The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. All of our questions were answered. Beautiful pieces of photography, along with a wide variety, from colour to black and white, conceptual to literal.

Just wish we had room to carry one back. The photographer was great at capturing the light to pass on the feeling of the scene.

Have purchased several pieces here over 20 years and love both the art and the experience of poring through their archives and buying it

This Gallery is awesome, its like a time capsule of art opened for business. Housed in the tercentenary brick walls and floors you can find great work from renowned photographers from yesteryear and today in the comfort of todays air conditioning.
