Some of the best local artwork we saw while visiting. The colors and detail are beautiful. It was one of my favorite stops on our walk down Magazine Street. I am looking forward to purchasing a few pieces for gifts.

Beautiful paintings and a friendly gallery. We even ran into the artist himself on our visit and got to see him working in his studio. He was really warm and welcoming and even autographed the books we bought!

Billys large grandeur paintings evoke a feeling put best by the Japanese: yugen - an awareness of the universe that triggers emotional responses too deep and mysterious for words. You want to walk on the sands depicted in his beaches and stand under the enormous cottony cloud filled skies of deep azure. The body of his work is largely scenes familiar to those who live on and visit our beloved Gulf Coast, but not all! He has many figure studies and smaller paintings of other places hes visited, and still lifes that remind one of table scenes by baroque masters. (I live in the neighborhood and frequently stop in to take in the beauty while on my way to the french bakery on the corner, so Im very familiar. Haha!) His gallery director is very warm and kind, and the artist himself is a disarming jovial man.
