I honestly wasnt expecting much for the laser tag concept. I enjoyed the designs so much that 3 groups ran past us as I took it all in. Make sure to go to the bathroom before going so you dont piss yourself.

It was super fun and we all had a great time. We did not realize we got lazer tag guns and that made it extra exciting especially for the guys. Everyone was really good at their job.

I was visiting all the way from Florida and I stumbled across you guys with my boyfriend and I have to say, this place is one of a kind. From the get go, I was pumped when I saw the battle rifles that we get to use against the undead in the haunted house.It was an amazing experience, I was terrified and excited at the same time.Boyfriend loved it to, definitely one of the best purchases I made for the both of us to enjoy.I might come back just to go through the house again :D

Took my girlfriend and her two daughters, it was completely worth it. No long lines, very professional staff, talented actors and a fun spin on a spook trail or haunted house. The girls were screaming the entire time. We want to check out the escape room next. Id recommend it to anyone.

The costumes and props was all realistic. I love the addition of being able to shoot the zombies. Its a twist of walking dead and resident evil. Even with the pandemic your able to enjoy yourself safely.

The actors were committed. We came from Seattle to go to this and it did not disappoint. We loved it so much we went through twice

Took 5 teenage boys ages 17..they had a blast! They were chased and spooked. Great job done. Will be back for Christmas haunted house.

Um........................................................This was a complete bummer for me. We did the Rift War and I was totally friggen stoked for a laser tag run and hide ninja skills type thing and this was completely not what I wanted or expected. It was a typical haunted house walk through where you shot at random things along the way. Most of the time it didn’t register that you shot them. The props, actors, and designs were phenomenal so kudos there, and there was a chick that was curled up hiding and crawled out a narrow hallway that made my boyfriend scream- she was awesome.I give this 3 stars because we cheated and didn’t wait in line for 2+ Hours like everyone else did (We budged I’m sorry... sort of). Had I waited in line for this I would have been so annoyed.

This was horrible! Not scary at all! Came there at 8:30 left at 8:38. SO SAD. Waste of money. DONT GO. Use your money for something better! This is jaseion btw. And I need my refund right now for one of my tickets.

We went there with my grandfather and my gf, we had an amazing time. Scare actors were amazing, atmosphere was scary, I definitely recommend this place.

Me and my girl friends took a night to complete the Serial killer escape room! And... it was SO MUCH FUN! Super difficult and we didn’t finish in time lol but it was a great experience. Johnny was so friendly and funny and personable. If you are looking for something fun but different to do in the city this is definitely it. It takes about an hour. During Halloween they also have one of the best haunted houses!

This is a very well done haunted house, the actors were very believable had me jumping and hiding behind my husband the whole way. The staff was extremely nice and made the time fly by while we waited, did the Express tickets and wait was about 30 mins well worth it on Halloween eve! Will be back to do an escape room at a later date!

It was really bad and I happened to get a group of young girls in front of us with all the screaming and running back into me then they were to afraid to go on not enough ppl coming out to scare you at that my group pretty much just walked threw a dark maze first and last time going there

We all celebrated a girlfriend‘s bachelorette party by coming to this escape room. It was definitely extremely creepy. It was raining that night and it took us longer than expected to make our time slot, we were all pretty much 15 minutes late so maybe that’s why the staff was not friendly but above all it was a cool experience. I will say read about the mortuary and it’s history before coming it’s cool to know about it before getting into the escape room.

I highly recommend haunted house tour. We were screaming from beginning to end. The actors did a wonderful job, the special effects- 5 stars, please add this to your to do list if your in New Orleans for Halloween.

Been here a few times. Always a fun experience. The staff are also very friendly and will goof around and make jokes with you. Most of the people here seem to be happy to be here and they are excited to scare you and see you have fun. The lines are not too bad from what Ive seen, and they also offer food and drinks. Also, their express tickets get you through line faster and theyre at a great price point. Good work to all the staff this year! It was a blast.

My colleagues and I did the Serial Killers Lair escape room and had a BLAST. The decor and effects were outstanding, it was just the right amount of scary. We didnt think wed get out, but we did!

Had a great time with some awesome people. It was my first time at the Mortuary, so I did not know what to expect. The creepy vibe added by the real cemetery really adds to the ambiance of this haunt.

I love, love, love the Mortuary! A friend of mine rented the entire building for her birthday party on June 1, 2019. It was truly one of the best parties I have ever been a part of, due in great part to their manager, Ben Hulin, and all of the staff. This was an event for 100 people, including a catered dinner, two open bars, a DJ, and the added treat of their haunted house experience! When the birthday girls event planner dropped the ball at the last minute in several ways, Ben and his crew were there to solve ALL the issues for us...and with a smile!!! They went above and beyond, even making creative suggestions that we hadnt thought of. Plus, the decor of the building is awesome! It definitely feels like a house from the 1800s. (By the way, I really enjoyed the haunted house experience. Let me rephrase that....It freaked me out! The actors were so creepy! Im surprised I didnt break my friends hand from squeezing it so hard as we walked through! Yikes!) So, if you are looking for an awesome and unique venue for private party, I can HIGHLY recommend the Mortuary.

Me and my friends were so excited to be scared but trust me when I say it WAS NOT SCARY. I did not get scared ONCE after waiting in line for over an hour. My friend who almost chickened out before going in was also not scared at all. The props were good but there were not enough workers, we maybe encountered 6 the whole time. It was too dark so you wouldn’t even see the props. Definitely not worth $30. Please trust me and do not go here.

I am here in NOLA on vacation from Texas and figured I would visit one of the best-reviewed haunts according to two haunt websites. Man, though, you guys really dropped the ball apparently this year! The decoration, theme, and layout were all great, but there were not enough actors and most of the actors that were there hardly did anything and broke out of character so many times. I am really disappointed.

I loved this place! My group did the Serial Killers lair (10 people) and we escaped it! We did get a few hints though. As this was my first escape room, I don’t have anything to compare it to, but honestly the props and decor were pretty realistic. It definitely was scary, but not terrifying. I almost wish it was a bit harder and even a little bit more frightening! But I’m very impressed and would recommend it to anyone.

Me and my friends want today in the day time the money was kinda worth it but I recommend coming at day time it’s cheaper and the laser tag thing was fun I just wish more people could scare u and scream

I tried to book an escape the room here back around Easter. Im not sure what happened, I never got a call back. I called the number on the business cards a few times and left a message. Ifthere is a better way to schedule an event i would like to know. My group is planning to return to New Orleans next year and we would love to visit.

So let me start out with the positive. The actors are good, you can tell theyre really in to what they do. With that out of the way lets dive in to the bad. Firstly you pay over $30 a head for general admission to wait in line over an hour to go through an attraction that takes about 20 min to go through.Secondly the scares are actually pretty predictable, and youre made to wear a mask you cant breathe in. Its kind of hard to get scared when you can easily guess where they are coming from and they cant physically mess with you at all. I get not everyone wants the physical option but there should still be the option at least.Thirdly the security makes no attempt to control the teenagers. There were a few times that one of the actors would come out in the line to scare while you wait, and a bunch of the more high pitched teenagers acted not just scared but completely hysterical, moshing into everyone around them until strangers had to yell at them.So in closing I would say it would be worth it to go through if it was either free or like $5 and were allowed to go through in groups of 5 instead of the 10-15 they push through. Dont waste youre money and find an attraction that will an hour to get through.

Scary as hell

Had a good time, me and the wife enjoyed it, it has alot of good features to the experience. Theres is alot of good actors. Had a blast ! It seemed a little short, but also the girls that where in the group with me where pushing me to move faster. Get the VIP passes it is definitely worth the extra few bucks, order them online it will save you there also. Will be returning next year to see what changed. Thanks for the fun time we had.

Did laser tag and it was awesone!

It was a nice place but it could have been better. The line was long but moved at a nice speed. What I didn’t like was how many people they let go in at once. Almost 15-20 people.Reason being is because the people in the front are the only ones scared and the people in the back just don’t get to enjoy the experience. Also, the masks were damn near suffocating you. My expectations going to the Mortuary Haunted House were definitely not fulfilled.

So disappointed. Really was looking forward to visiting The Mortuary as had heard good things. Bought front of the line tickets so entry was super fast and efficient. However once inside it all went downhill fast. Sets were good but I struggled to follow the theme clearly and there were barely any actors so got literally no scares at all. Some of the actors who were there just stared at us and barely moved - not scary!!! Love Halloween haunt events and I scare easily so I hate writing this review, but it was a poor night overall and I wouldnt recommend.

The Mortuary Haunted Mansion put the creep in creepy. The venue was once a real mortuary and is located next to a cemetery. This is not your typical haunted attraction, they use professional actors, makeup artist, and some of the most realistic special effects around to scare the life out of you.

Was way too short. VIP tickets were crazy overpriced for what you ended up getting inside and the lines were pretty long still for the gen admission line. Seriously I blinked and we were exiting. It feels pretty lame to pay 30-50 a ticket for a less than 10 minute experience.

Just flush your money down the toilet at least you won’t have to wait in line for the privilege. Not scary. They do a good job at their scare park but both are severely understaffed. We did the skip the line so at least our wait was 30min instead of hours, but not worth 50$ at all. Even the two kids with us didn’t get spooked beyond the odd jump scare. They made us wear cheap masks that smelled bad, made it hard to breath and didn’t play in the narrative or scarring us at all. What they did at the end was more dangerous for ocular health then scary.

We got there about 7:30, it did not open till 8. And of course people paid the $50 per person to skip the line, Vip. Others skipped by also paying extra for another line. With a family of 4 it would have cost $200 for VIP. The actual tour is about 10 minutes. There were very few actors and if you were not in the part of the group you really did not get any excitement. We will definitely not go back next year. Over priced for what you get. Oh and they ask you to wear these uncomfortable mask while you walk through.

Amazing experience in the serial killer escape room! My whole group and myself had the best time. I would highly recommend it especially for a date.

Best haunt in New Orleans!

Definitely a lot of fun. The escape room was challenging, but not impossible, and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely.

It wasn’t scary AT ALL. You could see everything in front of you the entire time. Money wasted! If you want to really be scared go to the one by Huey P. Long. That one is worth the money.

We had a blast! It was scary and adventurous at the same time. It definitely was a great night out in the Serial Killers Lair. However, being able to escape is even better!

Started my first job here as a seasonal actor inside The Haunted Mortuary loved every minute of it. I still kept my first paycheck from them. This is truly a great place to come if your ever in town on business or fun during Halloween and off season when they have there Christmas events, you can also rent out the mansion for your corporate events or parties which is awesome! Like I said definitely give them a try. ;)

Didnt get to go in because there was no electricity something happened down the street an the power was knocked out & still wasnt fixed at 7 pm so we reschedule the guy was really nice it was out of there control. We are definitely going back...

Ive been meaning to do this for a while and i wish i didnt. If you are use to haunted houses that are actually scary and make you jump, this is NOT the place for you. We waited an hour and a half for a 10min walk through. Took so long because there are 3 lines coming into one and of course express and VIP have priority. It would have been a better deal if we did the escape rooms since that was the haunted house and it looked very detailed for an escape room.Sorry to say it was very disappointing.

I REALLY loved this years visit! Its their anniversary, so its a very cool combination of their scariest scenes from the past ten years. We went early to beat the crowds, but being smart and buying our tix online and going back again Halloween weekend.The best part of it was, they do NOT touch you and no grabby, satanic stuff like some of the other haunted houses in town. Its suitable for even smaller well-behaved children (if they can hack it) that is. The special effects, lighting and animatronics were totally cool and the costumes looked really professional. I can tell the actors are really into their characters, which made it believable.Im a horror film fan and can honestly say they got me pretty good in there when I thought I was on my game. The staff and security is nice, professional and really on the ball. They managed the huge crowd without any problems. The line was long, but they offer an express and VIP option. I didnt feel like I was in a cattle call, they kept it interesting with zombies, vampires and ghouls roaming the grounds.

We loved the detail and work put into the decor/special effects and sound. But the scare/haunt effects lack so much attention, it was a huge disappointment paying $30 a head for our group of 10 people and only spending maybe 5 minutes walking through the scariest place In NOLA.

We waited an hour in line just to go through a two minute tour and not be scared at all. It was a waste of money, mainly to scare children.

Evie was great, very knowledgeable and fun. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Really scary

Im glad we did the VIP tickets because the wait was over 2 1/2 hours! Im not so happy that we spent $100 for 2 people which is pretty steep for what you get. We spent about 15 minutes total going through the crowded haunted house. Props were really neat, but they could have used a few more actors. They dont control the groups of people too well. I understand that they have a lot of people that come out to see them, but our group was way too big and we caught up with the group in front of us (and it looked like they caught up to the group in front of them) so we ended up being a looooong line of people going through at once and walking past traps that already went off and actors that had already jumped out. The flow was just way to quick. We were rushed through all of the different rooms and you barely got to even catch the theme of the room before you were on to the next area. Im just a bit disappointed I saw this haunted attraction on the Travel Channel a couple years ago so I just set the bar too high on my expectations. I consider myself a pretty good critic on haunted attractions and The Mortuary just didnt do it for me.

This was a really well-done, detailed haunted mansion, the best haunted house Ive been to, and a good size for a haunted house. There are flashing lights and loud noises at times, something to keep in mind if those things bother you. The express tickets are well worth it as there is little to no line for the express lane!

Was I the only one who had an actual experience there? I didnt touch or run into anything....And made a point to stay in the middle and hold onto my husband....But once I hit the basement my arm started burning and I couldnt figure out why....The next day I had a scratch and bruise on my arm where it was burning.....Hmmm....Encounter or not? As far as the attraction.....It was by far better than any of the haunted houses that Im willing to go to....I put my foot down on the ones you have to sign a waiver for.....Im not trying to end up dead or something!

It was definitely worth the money. The line was long but that suggests the quality of the experience.... besides, it moved fast. Would recommend to all. Not for the weak and squeamish.

We made it pretty far in the Game Room, but right at the end we had to crack a code. We put the correct code in, but the device was broken and falling apart. We ran out of time and we informed the lady of the code we tried to input. She told us it was correct and tried to input it herself. It gave her trouble, so she shook it and finally got the key to fall out. It proved that we were right and the device was falty, but they did not offer us extra time or compensation. They rushed us out. I feel like they could have done better, since their equipment was faulty, but whatever. It was the last key we needed and I feel very cheated.

If you are the jump,screamer I somehow sit next to in the movies Every frickin time. This is for you. Kids might find Mr Rodgers scarier. Last year the only thing good was the girl walking around outside the line acting like a zombie. ( She did the best job!)oh I forgot about this one scary part where you have to put your hand in a hole in a wall in a dark room. That was the thrill of the night. I felt it was so much a waste of my money. I got to the end of the line I turn back around to try to start scaring people walking through coming towards me.

This is a review for the Ghost Lab escape room. It is terrible. We have done about a dozen escape rooms over the past couple years and this was by far the worst. It is rated as very hard and while I would agree that it is very hard it is also very boring bc there is essentially nothing to do or figure out. The items to “solve” are so ridiculously planned/placed that you stand around waiting for the game master to give you the answer. There is nothing fun about this. And I know what you are thinking. They just weren’t smart enough to figure this room out. Well for the other 12 or so escape rooms, we often escaped, sometimes didn’t, but always had a good time. It’s no fun when there is nothing to try and solve.Btw - we did the zombie escape room at the Mortuary and I would rate it as 5 stars. Really fun and very scary.

Went for the haunted house at night. Not scary at all. They need more jump scares and there were maybe a couple. The cast and design may have been the issue. Wont be recommending this venue.

Drove and hour and a half to get there. Sat in line for 2 hours. Paid $30. To not even get startled once. The groups of 25+ people that they were sending in at a time were too big. The front of the line gets startled and then maybe the middle but by the time the end of the line comes thru we already saw the animatronic zombie pop out of the wall 3x. I was also expecting more actual people to be working inside. I maybe saw 6 people. The other people I saw were just there holding flashlights and making sure we didnt fall down the stairs or trip. Everything else was animatronic or just creepy decorations. Very disappointed. Please dont waste your time and money on this. I know I wont ever again.

So they dont really do tours unless its Halloween and theres a scary house and we actually thought it was closed when we walked up. We did an escape room and it was really interesting attempting to solve the puzzles and riddles. I would suggest doing it if you have some time.

So they have 3 different lines to enter. General, Express and VIP. We got there at 6:30 so we decided not to give blood for VIP tickets. Worst mistake! the line takes forever to move. It took 3 hours to get in. Once we got in I found it to be mediocre. Honestly not worth it.
