The incorporation of nature here is amazing. It really is a fantasy land. It was a little rainy, so it cooled the summer heat for the day. Kids loved it. There is a giant climbing tower with a tall spiral slide and lots of story book scenes.

Standing water everywhere we turned. So glad our kiddos wore their rain boots today even though it did not rain. Pinocchio and the whale, little red riding hood, and the three little pigs were not working at all. Jack and the beanstalk exhibit was not even open yet had a sign saying opening fall 2019. Has great potential if everything was taken care of and had better drainage for all of the standing water.

This was a fun, kid friendly place in New Orleans. It was just re-done so everything was beautiful. The kids loved running off steam and there was so much to use there imagination with, including a real life Candyland board! They even had hand sanitizing stations set up along the way!

Very cute, it does cost $4.00 to get in which isnt bad if youre there on the weekend during Spring or anytime during Summer because then the admission includes Carousel Park with rides. But it is a nice with picnic tables and Storybook Characters and slides to play on . Great picture opportunity and Putt Putt just across the parking lot as well as bike and paddle boat rentals across the park.

The carousel and roller-coaster is not available except on weekends--very difficult for my autistic son to understand when they allowed it open for a school outing. Also the cashier for the tickets wasnt aware that the city park train also wasnt running and for some odd reason there was no water in the park around the attractions.

Really quaint and cute, great for kids under 8. The kids ran from spot to spot and wanted to try everything. The dragon slide was the by far the favorite. Some of the areas could be better maintained, but any issues were minor. improved water fountains would by my main suggestion. All the fairytale experiences were fun for smaller kiddos my older ones were itching to go into the amusement park area after 20 minutes or so...I am not sure why they charge for adults to go in...but oh well.

Only upon doing the research for the writing of this review did I realize that there is a separate entrance fee for Storyland from the entrance fee for the Botanical Garden... The entrance for Storyland is shared with the Botanical Garden (C.T. Parker Building). I really wish I was 5 again, and I can totally imagine the awe on my face seeing all these classic story book characters in real life. Well, I didnt really have to imagine, there were plenty of children running around me when I visited, and their smiling faces tells it all. I even saw a few teenagers in the park taking some less than savory pictures for their Instagram. I guess this place brings out the children for people of all ages.

A pretty fun but small place for kids to visit. The different exhibits are based on various disney stories/movies, so it would be beneficial if the child was familiar with the stories. Towards the back of the facility is a large slide (design of a dragon); typically popular each time I visit. There are also a few exhibits that kids can climb up/onto. The outdoor landscape provide some shade, so you wont be completely in the sun. There are also a few bench seating available and placed throughout the facility. If you look at and read each exhibit, you can probably walk through the whole place in 15 minutes. The main lobby (where you pay for admission) offers limited drinks and snacks for sale. One note to mention is that during my previous visit, some of the exhibits were broken (i.e. music area). Admission for kids is $5; adults is $10 (plus tax).

Its always a pleasure coming here, not only do the children get to play but at every station is a book with a sum of the story about the station, all the oldies like Humpty Dumpty, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and so on, my kids had a blast!

Such a wonderful place to spend a few hours. The massive trees provide shade and a bit of coverage, as well as provide the setting with a magical feel!We were impressed with the amount of activities and how unique each were! For example, the Big Bad Wolf Voice Speaker will project your ‘Little One’s’ voice louder when reading the story of “The Three Little Pigs!”Or, the CandyLand Gingerbread House with an interactive game to play! So much fun!We would suggest bringing a packed lunch, or snack and drink to prolong your stay. We even packed small card games to play while taking a break under a large tree, from all the activities!Overall, StoryLand was so worth the $5 entry charge and provided multiple hours of outdoor interactive enjoyment for our 4 year old and family! We highly recommend this fun and unique park!

This is a lovely place to bring children. It has been restored and maintained beautifully. I played there as a child, and brought my daughter, now 37 years old there as well. I wish it were still free, and also the train ride, but the price pays for the upkeep, and it had gotten worn down in past years. All of City Park has undergone a fantastic restoration.

A unique experience in the beautiful city park. Really neat displays that reference different nursery rhymes and kids tales. Very cute, lots of fun picture opportunities.Highlights were the different houses the kids could explore, the ship with wheel that turns, and the giant whale mouth you can walk into.Couple of critiques: the lady at the entrance we paid was not very pleasent. It always surprises me to see that at kid-centric attractions, when the staff looks miserable or bored. Very unhelpful when asking about how the train works, as though I was inconveniencing her by asking a question. Also, the slides. There are two, a big dragon slide and a smaller one. Both are too steep for their respective ages and dont have enough of a lip for the kids to slow down after they reach the bottom. I saw kid after kid (and parent) land right on their bottoms hard coming off the slides.

We went right before the Christmas holiday and the roller coaster/amusement park was closed. We still had to pay full price. We are planning on going back this summer. Everything is located inside the city park, including a restaurant with beignets and hot chocolate. A must try experience!!!
