However, between the tour guide Brenda being very good at what she does and the tour itself I LOVED it. The tour is set up nice and the diffrent things we did throughout made it perfect timing wise. Sure glad we were able to tour Studio B a couple Septembers ago while spending some quality time in Nashville. The tour takes about an hour and presents the Nashville Sound where Elvis Presley recorded over 200 songs as well as Waylon Jennings, Mickey Gilley, Roy Orbison,, Hank Snow, Ernest Tubb and so many more. Again, it was a fantastic tour of Studio B, still used today by the like of Dolly Parton, Keith Urban, etc that included all the stars including Elvis Presley, etc. Sweet! Listening to Jerry Lee Lewis on that piano. Wow You will see the cabinet where as recording his songs Elvis got mad and did a judo kick and broke the door. Several attempts were made to repair it but nothing seem to work. This is the piece to the cabinet. Neat piece of music history. — at RCA Studio B.

If only the walls could talk. A must for music history nerds or those who appreciate Elvis and classic country. The only way you can go inside is through a tour with the country music hall of fame museum. Set time tours operate throughout the day. Need to take a 10min shuttle from the museum to music row. Once inside you get to see where all the magic was made.

I had never been on the tour of RCA Studio B before. Ron Harmon was our tour guide. My family and I had an extraordinarily good time listening to Rons detailed information regarding the early days of Studio B. My daughter, age 13, didnt realize Elvis songs were Elvis. I got a kick out of that. That was the best part of the tour for her... sitting in the studio... in Elvis ambiance, imagining him recording there under different colored lights. To be a musician and to be named (in part) after the Kings daughter and to sit at one of the many pianos he played during his life was a treasure I will remember forever. I just wish I remembered how to play. We did get to hear someone play a diddly that was absolutely amazing! Such stories those walls could tell!

We did this as the optional extra to the Country Music Hall of Fame Tour, and wed certainly recommend anyone reading this to do the same. We were bused out from the CMHF on a short trip to Studio B during which our tour guide provided an overview of the history and heritage of the place which was both useful and informative. There was quite a wait in the lobby as we waited for the tour in front of us to clear the studio during which we were played lots of music recorded there. Eventually we made our way through, and the atmosphere and nostalgia oozing from the place was almost tangible. Again, we were given an overview of some of the things that had gone on over the years and the various stars that had used the place. It was FASCINATING! You could almost feel Elviss presence at his piano! Unfortunately, having been delayed entry, we were somewhat rushed out and overall Id have to say that communications between the various tours that use the place needs to improve. That said, we were glad to have done it!Footnote. We could certainly have lived without the constant reminders from our tour guide, both on the bus and in the studio, that he was a struggling musician/songwriter who would appreciate a healthy tip at the end of the tour! By the 8th or 9th reference wed become heartily sick of his claims of poverty!
