Great atmosphere! This passed Sunday was my second time seeing a show a city winery and they did not disappoint. Plenty of precautions and social distancing to make everyone feel safe without taking anything away from the experience. I was impressed with the creativity of the “wine garden” which was a beautifully decorated, heated outdoor music venue. Service was amazing. Our waiter, Matthew, was excellent. He must have had at least ten other tables besides us and still made time to make us feel welcome, give recommendations, and answer all of our questions. The food was outstanding as well. I recommend the shrimp and grits. I think I’ve found my new favorite spot in Nashville.

Visiting from West TN. We had a fantastic time at City Winery. Decided to check them out yesterday and had a great time. Wine fight was good as was the charcuterie board we ordered. Sat on the upper patio no issues. Nick waited on us. Ask for him! Great server who is actually from the Memphis area. We enjoyed it so much we came back again today.

We did the tour and tasting of the wines and it was a beautiful experience. Perfect for date nights or a girls night out! Evan was amazing and so friendly. The entire staff was welcoming and made us feel great. The atmosphere is so relaxing and beautiful! They follow strict social distancing and everything was cleaned and sanitized! Everyone was wearing masks and we felt very safe! 10/10 would recommend you go when in Nashville!

I had heard about city winery but I had never been before. The food was great and I had great service. Our server Mathew was grea. He got us our food fast. It was overall a great time. I will definitely be back soon.

Our server was slow but sweet. The Food was great. We saw Live music that night and i love seeing artist there. We were in the new wine garden which is amazing and it was a beautiful night.

Great selection of wines (we did two flights) and had a Grade A bartender! Nathan provided us with very good local selections and even some Nashville tips.My husband is now complimenting all the guests in an accent after all the wonderful Chardonnay. Time to go (but will come back soon).

Excellent wine and great atmosphere. Food was amazing as well. Only complaint here was the service. Second floor was closed for a private event, so I can understand why the service was poor. Am giving 4 stars as it was most likely, hopefully, a bad day. I would recommend as I would probably return in the future. The prices were a bit steep.

This place takes Covid seriously. They take names and scan temperatures on entry. The food and service were fantastic. Kayla was great! The rooftop vibe and views are incredible. Well worth a visit!

This was our first social group gathering since February 19, they were reasonable in the Covid precautions. The outdoor tent enabled social distancing while allowing patrons to be seated in their own groups.The food was excellent as always and the entertainment was superb.

Attended a concert here. Sound and stage atmosphere were nice. Food and drinks were pricey, but tasty. Lame beer selection, but obviously good wine selection. Would come back for a show, but buying food/drinks here was not worth it.

Great venue to attend for an event or tasting. We have been to several concerts here over the years. A very intimate setting, with great food, wine, and easy parking.

Last night was my first time going and I wont go back. They over charged my account after I told the bartender before I paid I only had one drink. I looked this morning and the bartender charged me $28.60 for what I dont know, but my receipt was for 14.50. Now, I have to wait until my bank can give me back my money. I wouldnt recommend anyone going here.UPDATE: I got a call from Evan and he has helped me with the transaction. He emailed me a copy of the receipt that I was supposed to get charged. Now, just have to wait until Monday for the bank to see what will come through. Thanks Evan!!! I moved my from 1 star rating to 3 stars because of Evan and helping me and HIS great customer service and contacting me back.

Please do not come here for brunch. We had a horrible experience at this place. We had a reservation for 10:30 AM, and we arrived timely. We didn’t see our food until an hour later at 11:30. The food arrived cold, the potatoes and chicken were dry, and the bacon was way too greasy. The waitress was unorganized, aloof, and I had to ask her multiple times for my beverage. What’s worse is that we had an appointment to attend at 12pm for a bachelorette weekend and we nearly missed it. Maybe you should stick to wine, City Winery. Your brunch service, quality, and timeliness are lacking desperately. If I could provide 0 stars, I would.

Must have been timing, we were there between brunch and dinner and the service was terrible. What saved the afternoon was great neighbors at the table next to us. Perhaps dinner service would be better.

I was so excited to go to city winery for my birthday dinner. What a mistake! I checked the menu online as I need gluten free food and saw they had a few options. The skyline patio was lovely. Our server was overwhelmed, so the manager brought out our food. Mine had corn chips that the manager (after checking with the chef) said were not gf because of being cooked in a shared fryer. I had to order a second meal (lettuce wrapped bacon cheeseburger) Another server came with my food WAY after my husband was finished with his food, and it was a plain burger with fries made in the shared fryer. Also not gf. It was now 1 1/2 hours later and I was super hungry. Finally was served the right burger, again by the new server. Then our original server came to see if we were ok. Wow. We really had bad service! Dont believe the gluten free claims! And to top it off, they didnt even have a single sweet white wine on their menu!! (according to our original server)

It was only okay because the price does not match the quality of the food you get. The wine was good. The parking is inconvenient and another price. The food is lackluster and not worth the money. I would not go out of my way to return unless invited. I work hard for what I spend and I dont mind spending big when I get my moneys worth.

Absolutely dreadful experience. Waited for 5 minutes for the host, after being looked at by no less than 4 employees without acknowledgement. The host appeared with a mask around his mouth, but not his nose. Im not a mask fan, but if Im forced to wear one in an establishment, the employees should wear theirs properly. We were finally seated outdoors and after another 5 minutes a server walked by and said hed be right with us. Two other parties were seated and still no server. After 10 minutes, we walked out.

Best place in earth. Even got to meet my favorite American Idol Kris Allen. I really love the food and the venue. I worked there and they treated me so well. I started with executive chef Donald Counts and we was so amazing and patient and training me. He advanced to corporate chef and I missed him. The new executive chef Jason Heim was there for me in all aspects and I grew to become great friends. He was excellent at his job and very understanding. Because of his spirit and dedication he too advanced in the company. Mentioning two more staff members Joe the manager was the best and most organized manager I’ve ever dealt with. He kept this company competitive and such a fun place to work. I personally worked with soups chef David Prigmore the most and he was patient and exceptional in all he did. He has such a bright future with this company. I really enjoyed working with him and he made each and every day exciting to come to work. I love all the staff from city winery. They are not only good at what they do but they provide the same compassion to each and every customer that walks through the door treating them with the most respect and family oriented environment. City winery gets a 10* star rating in all aspects

I bought New Year’s Eve tickets for an event at City Winery. I had to leave the event due to medical reasons. The situation has yet to be resolved. I will not visit a City Winery ever again.

What a great venue. Saw a group called The Doo Wop Project. Wow! Fantastic show. City Winery is clean, good food, great service. Very organized.

City Winery always has the best events, tonight was the West Sonoma Coast Vintners...we did the VIP ticket which allowed us an hour early entrance to taste wine and the charcuterie board which was amazing, pictures will be attached!!! Some of my favorite wineries were Dumol, Ernest Vineyards and Peay Vineyards. Keep a look out for their events, top knot!!!

Came here last night for the first time for a concert. From the moment i walked in i loved it. The rustic look and semi dim lighting gives it an intimate but laid back setting. The staff were all very friendly. The food and drinks are on the pricey side but overall i plan to make this my new frequent spot to hang in the city.

Lack of response to my emails inquiring about canceled concerts and tickets I lost due to COVID. An email acknowledging what this place will do to support the people who have supported them for so long might be appropriate. We all are dealing with this pandemic and silence and lack of concern is not the way to ensure your business reopens and expect people like myself to return. I may never support City Winery moving forward. Good luck keeping your image.

Ive been for brunch, dinner, wine tastings, the pairing classes, both concert spaces and just a quick stop to buy a couple bottles. The staff and wines are fantastic! The food, if Im being honest, its nothing spectacular, but its not terrible. There are a few things that are done really well, but then Ive had more than one occasion were my selected dish fell flat.

Good venue with good showrooms and interesting acts booked regularly. Would give 5 stars but, the food is absolutely awful. Ive tried it twice and will never order food there again. Show, yes. Wine, drinks, yes. Food, NO. To the restaurant, you have a good product, you should seriously upgrade your food situation.

Gorgeous restaurant with even better food. Cocktails were creative but a little on the pricey side for the amount you get. The staff was very friendly; however, Im docking one star because we were left waiting for over 20 minutes to get our check after they picked up our plates.

Great place to see live acts up close and personal. Staff was wonderful. I dont drink a lot of wine so I let my waitress decide for me with my meal. All was superb!

I have visited City Winery for 2 concerts. The venue is intimate without feeling crowded. The waitstaff are friendly and very knowledgeable. The food and wine delicious!!It is becoming one of my favorite places in Nashville to attend a concert!!

We really enjoyed our event evening here. Our waiter was present often and helped us with any questions or extra orders we had, great service even with a full room of a good few hundred people. The food was delicious! I would absolutely recommend the Black Hawk Farm Burger, it was absolutely wonderful and cooked perfectly to what I requested. The building itself is quite beautiful and the event dining area was very nice. My only complaint is that the tables were pretty small for us but the wait staff was good about clearing dishes very quickly.

I came her for the Fuel show and I gotta say it was one of the most pleasant concert experiences Ive been to ever. Unlike huge venues that echo this place had nice acoustics and the atmosphere is gorgeous.Some people people complain about it being small but to me that makes a more intimate experience, at least to me.I didnt eat food because I ate before I came but the people around me ordered food which smelled delicious.I knocked off one star because the chairs arent the most comfortable and while the margarita tasted fantastic it cost $11 which is the highest Ive ever paid for one drink in nashville.

Hate to post publicly but I’ve been trying to get in touch with someone for the past three months. I’ve emailed and left messages with everyone. I understand that there are delays but this is a bit ridiculous. I purchased 7 tickets to an event that was cancelled because the Nashville location closed due to COVID-19. I just need to know who to speak with in regards to the event being rescheduled or if a refund will be issued. Thank you for your time.

Fabulous. The sound is incredible. Seating is great, excellent staff, great staging, backstage is fabulous. Its a wonderful place to be entertained in Nashville. Far superior to most event sites.

City Winery is a nice venue. I attended an event here this past week. The vibe of the place is great and it is good for mid size events. The wait staff are all very kind and the system they have for taking care of their patrons in the large room is very efficient.My only complaint is that the food doesnt quite feel worth the asking price. Its certainly not bad, but I just feel like the price and quality are stretching a small distance too far. If those were tightened up a bit I could see this being a five star review. You are definitely paying for the atmosphere, not the food.

This venue has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I purchased tickets for the April 11th Jamestown Revival show. Given the current COVID-19 situation, of course it ended up being cancelled and is now rescheduled.They offered no communication when the event was marked as cancelled almost one month ago. I had to email them, and they informed me that they would not refund my money! My transaction was handled over the phone and not once was I informed of their terrible policy of no refunds on cancelled or postponed shows. I would not have purchased tickets had I known this.All other venues I have purchased tickets from have kept in frequent communication with ticket holders and offered the option of a FULL REFUND or for tickets to be honored at the rescheduled show.City Winery finally decided to start emailing ticket holders yesterday (four days AFTER the event I was supposed to attend was to be held); however, they are still refusing to offer refunds.Dont risk your money with this venue. Wait and see your favorite artist at a venue that provides good customer service.

The food and wine are OK. Sometimes they get good performers at a reasonable price. It’s a cute intimate venue. If you’ve never been here before, you should know that the seating arrangements are very close together and seats can become uncomfortable after sitting there for a while. None of this is a huge deal to me. My hands down biggest complaint about this place is that they call themselves a listening room and don’t enforce that. They make the announcement that they are a listening room and proceed to let people talk loudly and scream and whistle right in your ears because the seats are so close together. I have seen this happen so many times. I actually witnessed a fight almost break out there because of this once and staff had to escort the people out. City Winery, if you are going to say you pride yourselves on being a listening room, then act like it. Enforce the listening aspect of the evening. I have gotten to the point where I really have to consider whether or not I want to see the band that’s playing there because there have been so many of these issues there.

Food was surprisingly good, and the venue is very comfy. The roast beef stack was juicy and well seasoned. The balsamic mushrooms are another hidden gem. It can get pretty crowded, and the food is a bit pricey, but a great afternoon is to be had here.

This a very nice place. Great discounts with there club memberships. We came for a wine tasting and had a blast lots of variety s from all over the world sweets bitters ciders a taste to soot everybody. And many of there locally made wines are amazing. A must try for tourists with some early drinking in mind

I originally posted a low rating due to the lack of response by City Winery employees. However, I was reached out to by Evan, the manager, last week and he made every attempt to apologize and make amends to the service I received--or, rather, lacked. I just wanted to thank Evan for going way above and beyond what he needed to.

Always a great place to see a show or attend an event. The acoustics are incredible and the staff works their butt off. The food is above average / pretty good and the wine selection is top notch.

We had pre-Valentines reservations here and they were fantastic! I recieved a rose upon seating (as did all the other couples) our server Daniel greeted us shortly and was very pleasant. I have allergies and he made sure to check them with the kitchen. We only stopped in for appetizers and dessert and everything was served very quickly. Daniel checked on us frequently and was absolutely wonderful! We would definitely dine here again!

City Winery is a good music venue. Classy modern feeling listening room sit down dinner and a show format. A decent selection of wines on tap and by the bottle, two beers on tap, and a handful of beers in bottles as well. I dont particularly enjoy sitting down at shows, but I have enjoyed many shows here. Ill come back here for shows, but the food menu always seems a little sparse to me, and everything is a bit overpriced. Its a great spot, just not quite a 5 for me.

Went tonight for Phillip Phillips who was wonderful. Did not get our food for 1 1/2 hours after ordering and when we got it was cold. Horrible service. Spoke to the manager and she was extremely rude.

Saw Delbert McVlinton perform. Great venue to see concerts. Tables all have a great view of the stage. Very intimate. Food fare was exceptional but pricey. Worth every cent. Was a guest of keyboardist William Lenk who is one of top players in town. Also got to speak to with Lee Roy Parnell. Win win all around. Easy to park in handicapped spaces. Valet parking available. This venue rocks.

Came here for Easter Dinner and was very impressed! The space is beautiful, well-kept and the perfect setting for a relaxing evening. We couldnt decide which wines we wanted, so we ordered a few flights and were impressed by all the wines we had. They recently changed their menu but we loved the food we had ordered. Their menu is (obviously) wine-focused so everything we tasted matched really well with our wines.What really stood out to me however is the service. All of the employees seemed genuinely happy to be there and were eager to help with any recommendations or questions we had. It seems as though management has really created a great atmosphere for the employees and it certainly showed throughout our dinner. At the end, we spoke with Rayna who was absolutely lovely and as gracious as could be. Her demeanor and passion blew us all away. We will definitely be back soon because of her!

Fantastic, funny, and charming service.Brilliant, on point, clear as a freaking bell acoustics.Try that new dang chocolate caramel something something salted yum yum with a port.This place blew away expectations, if youre coming from out of town like we did. The show really does start at the time listed, and thats when most people arrived. Great banter with the server until then.

Fun place to dine

We came for Brunch. Was disappointed the only parking options were pay to park at $10/2hrs or valet. The restaurant was pretty empty at 11a for a Saturday and the service was slow.. BUT the waitress was so nice and the food was worth it! The gravy was amazing... You will not be disappointed. I was sad when my food was gone.

Great design and lovely decor, with an amazingly friendly and knowledgeable staff! Sydney was very helpful and helped us find the best selection of wines to go with our choice of food items. Will definitely be returning next time we are in Nashville!

Came here for brunch. Food was decent and service was mediocre. Not sure if the issues are with the kitchen or what, but it took at least a half hour to get our food. Our iced tea was also served with a couple of cubes in it. Not to nitpick, but come on. Frustrating really, because this place looks like it could be a lot better than it currently is.

Unless you use valet, the accessibility is horrendous. No Uber/Lyft signs nor access to the venue unless you use the public parking place literally in front of the business. Waiting in line at the kiosk for the visit just makes it that much more unpleasant.

If you havent been there before, you owe it to yourself to make the Winery a special piece in your Nashville experience. Whatever you see or hear there will not be something you will forget. Saw Gabe Dixon here recently and the ambience was lovely! Nice intimate venue with various levels in seating so the sight lines are pretty decent despite the table setup.Sharing a table with others as an unaccompanied single person is a bit weird at first (I’m an introvert!), but was pleasant to have the company once we started talking.The restroom was clean and nicely appointed — like what you’d find in a nice restaurant rather than a music venue.Food was good from what I could tell from my simple order (a Margherita pizza) and the comments of the people around me. They also seemed to enjoy the wine, and I had a glass of rosé cider that was delicious.Speaking of driving, I couldn’t find an affordable and safe-looking lot in the immediate vicinity (it’s pretty industrial and commercial around there, with lots of dark spooky corners...) so I just did the valet. It was $9, which was cheaper than using the self park lot directly in front of the venue... it was marked as $15 that evening. I’m normally fine with walking around the city by myself but felt more confident doing valet in this area.The valet accepts cards for the service itself but not for tips—I didn’t have any on hand to tip the valet and felt bad. It was a little bit of a wait for my car after the show but not too bad. The valets were running and hustling to get everyone helped.All in all, it’s a great venue and I’m glad to be returning soon to see the New Year’s Day show with Langhorne Slim!

Took the wife for the first time to see Glenn Jones in concert he was excellent. The City WInery for a concert is excellent as well. The seating was kind for confusing when ordering. In my opinion the premiere is the best close to the stage (thats where we were seated) The reserved next, then V.I.P. remember i said in my opinion. My wife ordered the hot chicken wraps ordered the CW burger that came with fries medium rare cheese and bacon extra and a calamari appetizer. Wife had wine and i had a stout beer. The server was wonderful and attentive. I would recommend going there just to have a nice dinner other than a concert. My wife and i are fans and will be back soon. Lovely establishment!!!!!

Worst dining experience. We had a party of 7 for brunch, with a reservation. We ordered drinks immediately and food about 10 minutes later. There were about two other tables in the entire restaurant at the time. We waited two hours for our food. That is not an exaggeration. We arrived at 11:20 and we got our meals at 1:30. All food came out at different times and in addition to that, half of the food was cold. We asked for bread while we waited and that never came out. They did end up comping our bill but honestly I would have rather just left and been able to spend time in Nashville instead of wasting so much time here.

While the music was great and that was what we were there for, the service is horrible to non-existent. This was my second visit, Ive never been served worse food anywhere, twice! This venue is way overpriced on food & drink. I dont think anyone that works here cares about how this place runs. Food is a total mess, service is non existent. The seating is very misleading. Our VIP seats were NOT elevated as shown & they were behind a barrier a short person (myself) would be unable to see over. Music is great, but, I repeat, the food is bad and shockingly overpriced. Eat before you come.
