My mom and I came to visit Nashville in late October 2020. This park was one of the many places we visited. The park was very serene and enjoyable. It is very well maintained and a great place to do activities. It was also informative with the wall of inscribed history of Tennessee. I would definitely recommend visiting this park.

One of the most beautiful urban parks Ive seen, with lots of tree-lined trails, history monument and modern design. The group of pillars are bell towers and ring on the hour! The park is located next to a great farmers market and in walking distance to the state capitol building and the modern Tennessee State Museum. It is the highlight of my first Nashville trip during this unusual time where a lot of the attractions are closed or on limited exhibit.

Historical in the sense of history best views of the park and capitol hill, performances, events, just a local chill spot and scenery. Right near your farmers market and the newly germantown.

This park is a gem. Its a very interactive, historical and informative. Plus beautiful. All times of the year, during the day, at night. Its just fun. If youre visiting, definitely check this place out! And cool plus, in the center of the pullers, theres a little silver pin. Itll be in the center if the stars on the ground. Find it, and talk. youll thank me.

Great place for a walk and to let the kids run wild or take a quiet stroll and read all the historical info! Beautiful scenery!

Really enjoyed walking around the park and reading about history. Will go back to see some of the items I missed.

Very few people during COVID. Wonderful mall with a good Tennessee history lesson. Just a few businesses opened on this Thursday.

Amazing free state park. Theres a free history of Tennessee museum thats alot of fun, a timeline exhibit, bell towers, local art, a ww2 memorial. Lots of stuff to do on a budget of 0 dollars. The trolley tour goes through at night too, thats kinda fun.

Bicentennial by Night Halloween Spooktacular was well worth the trip. Ranger Jed was an interesting and engaging storyteller. Highly recommend!

We had wonderful weather...ran to the Farmers Market for Georgia peaches...no one was there...took a nice stroll over to the mall...it was clean, trees and grass were lush and green...magnolia trees getting ready to bloom...picture perfect...and we took alot of them.Spoke with Ranger Hall to help me find my daughters engraved brick...he was so kind and helpful! Hated that the fountains werent turned on but understood why...not too many people were there..perfect social distancing but we still wore our masks..saw a few without...beautiful walk on a beautiful Nashville day taking in History at its best!

The Bicentennial park is amazing. Theres a carrillion, which didn’t play while I was here so I cant comment on the sound. Theres a wall with lots of quotations about the rivers of Tennessee. There are plenty of rivers. Theres a fountain where kids can run around getting wet and cooling off. And theres a very big map of Tennessee that you can walk around on.Theres parking nearby including some charging stations for electric cars, and theres a farmers market across the street.Admission is free. I highly recommend this park.

Its great if you love history or want to learn more about Tennessee. It is almost like an outdoor museum!

Absolutely an awesome part to go to. Grateful running and any type of exercising including dog walking or an afternoon stroll in the park. The landscape is very manicured allows you to walk through nature. The amphitheater has a unique view of the State Capitol building where where you can see the incline of the grass with Nashvilles tallest buildings in background. One unique feature is it has columns at the end of the park that ring a bell every hour. Theres always events going on at the park. Perfectly located in between the Nashville Sounds stadium and the Farmers market.

A very scenic walkway and the farmers market was very relaxing and easily accessible and free of charge..The war memorial was touching.. educational and a Beautiful tribute to the heroes of Tennessee who sacrificed and served our nation.And taking short stroll along each side of the park has an arboretum on one half and a very historical walk along the other.Full of information...starting with the formation of the state to the present.The views are spectacular and memorable .!

Lots, lots, lots of history around the park. Great for a long walk around. Dont go in a hurry, take your time to read and understand about the life on those 200 years.I recommend waiting for some hour oclock so you get to hear the bells playing.

Fantastic Park. Right next to the Farmers Market. Great place to spend an afternoon in Nashville.

Great place to hang out after visiting the “tourist” areas of Nashville. We ate lunch from multiple vendors at the farmers market and purchased some fresh produce as well. There is a water feature that kids of all ages can play in and most of the tour buses stop and go throughout the day. There is also ample parking if you drive yourself. The view of the Capitol building and expansive lawns is amazing from the front trolley stop.

A park shared by both people and pets. Come for the history or simply to get out or exercise. You can visit the neighbouring farmers market ir take a segway tour around the park. The only negative is that the music that is supposed to play at times each hour did not play at all. There is a WWII memorial and other historic references throughout the park. This is a placed used by both visitors and locals.

Beautiful park for dogs and walking,exercising and they even had a little market thing going on.

This is really an amazing place to take the kids they have a splash pad set up, and tables you can relax here all day and educate yourself! One of my favorite because of the fountains and flags!

Historical place, a lot of writings on sidewalks and brick walls explaining the past. Huge park.There is the farmers market next it where you can grab something to eat.The train track cuts through the park.Peaceful and not crowded at all.Seems like there were a lot of thought into building this park..

After spending a few days in the busier parts of Nashville, we decided to check out the Bicentennial Capital Mall. Beautiful and well-maintained park with lots of state history to offer. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, as well as the WW2 memorial. Highly recommend!

Really cool place to walk around, and look at the monuments. Its a historic place, and there are columns and monuments like that all over the place. Its not a very big park, and there arent a lot of trees, but its nice to come here for the historical monuments.

Awesome park for long strolls on lazy days. Beautifully maintained and laid out for views. Mature trees provide shade and cover from the hot sun. Large stone map of Tennessee show geographic details about terrain, native Americans, paths and roads, etc.Ideal especially if your visiting Nashville on a budget.

A lot of thought and planning seems to have gone into this park, and that cant be said for all Civic projects of this type. This is definitely a landmark to check off your list, and would likely be a nice place to go for a run or toss a ball around if you are so inclined.

I absolutely love this park. It’s just such a beautiful way to highlight what makes Tennessee so unique. The wall detailing the state’s history and the street showcasing each county are both amazing, but the giant marble globe inside a fountain is just stunning. Equally fun is standing in the middle of the columns and hearing your own voice in surround. Definitely worth setting aside an hour to explore.

Third time to visit park. It had been since 2009 when I last visited. The park has its same appeal. If going through Nashville, I make it a point to stop in. The trees have really grown as I remember the first time in 2001 the park was bare. Fond remembrances from that first time.

Peaceful and rangers patrolled. Great place to run has shade. Near capital.

Great green space to walk around and enjoy the farmers market and the Tennessee State capitol over the hill with a skyline of Nashville downtown.

Highly recommend this park, especially the guided ranger hikes. The evening hike with Ranger Wayne was extremely informative. Pleasant walk up the capital steps and around the capital building. Nice views of the city during the sunset, and the buildings at night. Also included information on the statues and displays around the campus.

Lovely place for a walk from here to the state capitol. I was dropped off at the bell end by the hop on hop off bus and popped in the museum and the farmers market for some food.

Scenic and beautiful, very clean and near downtown Nashville. Lots of historical information presented throughout the grounds.

We love visiting the Bicentennial Mall. So much to see. We eat at the Farmers Market next door then head over to the bells and work our way down towards the Capitol. Its a must stop in Nashville!

It was a great place to walk around and learn about the history of Tennessee. A really nice farmers market of local produce. Not over priced and a very good variety of everything. Also a great food court with just about everything you could think or want to eat

Great urban park in the middle of the city! Great history and walking trails. The rangers are really great people and super friendly!

Good park for a stroll if you want shade rest under the railroad tracks sitting at the tables there. You can cool off at the fountain simply by running through it. Let your inner kid out. I recommend if you are in the city and need a short break go here it is close and a 30 minutes stroll can help to reset.

There is a wonderful water park in front of the capital!

I think 8 state police armed to the teeth is overkill to protect an empty capital. You have to be almost a mile away to see it.

Super cool mall/park to walk in. Stand in the center of the bell area and there’s a surprise when you whisper.

Wonderful place to visit and see the rich history of all 95 counties of Tennessee. The Farmers Market gives you a plethora of selection of local handmade vegetables and fruits to crafts. Inside, the air conditioner or heat is a relief to the outer elements and you have a wide selection of restaurants to choose from and a huge food court to eat and enjoy the view

Very informative and accommodating state park! Nice to be able to sit under the shade of the bridge and watch your children play in the fountain. Also has bathrooms with A/C which is a plus in the summer months.

Clean and quiet, suitable for family picnics or just a walk.

I spent a nice weekend camping here in 2010 for Tennessee’s commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War. There was a lot of historical displays there that weekend. The folks running the park were extremely accommodating and helpful. It is a really pretty place stuck in the middle of a city.

Far exceeded expectations! Its flat out wonderful. Its free with much to learn, much to see and much to do. Its very pretty and certainly as educational as u can get. Its a close walk to the state Capitol and close to downtown Nashville. Id go there again and again!

This is a very interesting park with lots of historical appeal. I found the wall of TN events fascinating and the massive map of TN capture my attention for a considerable amount of it. Its also just a pretty area right in the heart of Nashville. I thoroughly enjoy it.

Went down there for new years eve 2018/2019 to watch the note drop. Kieth Urban gave a great concert that made me a believer in country music. There was plenty of portable potties. It rained prior to the concert and was very muddy. The park was beautifully decorated. Will most defiantly return for an event.

This park is a real treasure and unique in our state parks system. I think every one of our large Tennessee cities need to plan for an urban state park such as this one. I could tell this park is well used, well maintained, and well appreciated by downtown workers and visitors to the city. The farmers market located adjacent to the park enhances the outdoor experience. I bought fresh turnip greens and acorn squash--locally grown--and wish I had bought a basket of apples.

This park behind and down the hill from the capitol is a must see. Its a bit of a walk but they have things to see along the way. They have a map imprinted of the state in the concrete and a nice water show with facts about Tennessee. Picnic tables, restrooms and vending machines are right there so you can sit and relax. Head further on and get to their black world globe rotating on water and the pillars with the Tennessee flag imprinted on the ground. When I went they had a flea market and a farmers market, which might be permanent, with tons of food spots to eat. Grab a picnic table outside, sit inside, or go sit in the park. Either way you sill enjoy your time here. On the way back read the wall about the civil war and Tennessee history that spans your whole walk into the park.

We came to the ampitheatre for the Box Lunch Concert Series. It was wonderful! The park was very clean and well managed. There was plenty of shades space to bring a blanket and picnic. The park is pet friendly. It is a beautiful place to spend the day!

Its a beautiful.place to walk and take photos. Restaurant options, accommodations...even a little boat ride.

This park takes picnicking to a whole new level. Large white pillars rise up in a grand circle around the paved square. As the hours pass the toll of bells rings through the air. A short walk takes you to the Memorial. There Fallen Troops are immortalized and a globe silently turns suspended in a ripple of water. Placed within walking distance of both the museum and farmers market it will make a wonderful addition to your day trip to Nashville.
