This is such a cool venue! My husband and I went to see A Drag Queen Christmas and we had front row tickets!! The front row is literally knees to the wall, you are right there! To me it is the perfect sized venue ️️

Love this theater, the seating is pretty much great all-around. They do have the big screens on both sides of the stage for clear viewing. Easy entrance, easy exit. Very helpful staff.

Like this theater room better than Jackson. Why does TPAC persist in having these long rows? In the event of an emergency exiting the rows will in no way safe or easy.

The theater is ok - its not terrible. In fact, the staff & valet service employees were very friendly - which kept me from giving a 2-star review. My low star rating is due to the facilities. There is not enough seating in the lobby area so if you arrive early for VIP or to have a drink - youll be standing. Inside the theater, the seats are small. The two shows Ive seen there were excellent but it was due to the event rather than the venue. If you have mobility issues will be difficult. Several multi-level landing type steps from the street entrance. No handicap seating in the VIP section that I noticed - it looked like a space for wheelchairs at the top was available. The main (large, multiple stall) restroom is downstairs while a one room combination male/female/family handicap restroom on the main floor & there was a long line. The theater holds several people, therefore there are really long lines during intermission. There were more places to get alcohol than there were facilities - seems contradictory.

Saw the Weepies there 11/9/19. Loved the theater layout, prices etc. Sound quality was atrocious. Way too much bass on vocals, feedback, inconsistent levels. Musicians were not comfortable with the sound on stage either. They were constantly trying to get the attention of the sound man. Quite a let down. I hope they correct this. It is so rare to have bad sound in music city.

Great sight and hearing lines from all over the balcony ( Ive never sat below.) The slant is severe, though, and a lot of us feel insecure getting to our seats. There are lots of steps to get up to that level, and only a small bathroom. Even with the drawbacks, its a great place to experience a performance!

Bathroom is a nightmare to get to. Especially when you have heart failure. Youve got to climb a steep mountain to get down and up a huge flight of stairs to get to it. Need an elevator. Otherwise you have to walk to the other end of the building to get to more accessible ones and you cant hear the show you came to see. Also, you are sitting like in an airplane. No leg room at all.

The design of the theater and the entire building is handicapped prohibitive. My partner, who has walking issues had major problems getting up and down all the steps. And--placing the restrooms at the bottom of a long steep flight of stairs is a ridiculous design. We live in the 21st century, when designers are supposed to be aware of accessibility challenges. Very dissatisfied with the place. The show was nice, however.

This theater in the Tennessee Performibg Arts Center is a very good venue. Great acoustics, great lighting....The reason I didnt rate it higher is its lack of accessible seating for people with mobility problems. The accessible seats are just folding metal chairs on a level surface behind the farthest back row of the more comfortable theater-style seats. This theater is grandfathered in under the ADA since it was already built when that law was enacted and hasnt undergone any work since then that would require it to come into compliance, so this is just a warning for those who need accessible seating in this theater. The staff tries to help but all they have to work with is the folding chairs....Be aware that this venue is at the back of TPAC so its a bit of a walk. There is a ramp all the way from the entrance and some seating about halfway there near a concession stand....There is no seating in the main lobby which is a problem for people who have trouble standing, or who need to use will-call....NB: The largest venue in TPAC, the Andrew Jackson Hall, DOES have compliant seating. Its still the last row but the seats are the same comfortable style as in the rest of that venue and theres enough room in front of that row for people using wheelchairs or walkers to maneuver easily. The poor accessible seating is only in the Polk theater.
