I was an employee of The Theater Bug for almost three years, and I was used by the staff for my mental health issues and neurodivergence to work full time as a stage manager that was more like a personal assistant, while being often being unable to pay rent. I am a trans nonbinary individual, and I suffered through many transphobic and harmful experiences being a part of this community.

This place is magic. We enjoyed the Winter Concert. The original plays are my favorite, though. The director is somehow able to make the most challenging issues of our time into approachable stories for children and adults. This is a 501(c)3 non-profit doing work helping to make Nashville a more loving place.

Director Corri and the whole crew are so full of energy and life and they know how to inspire and encourage-along with their production expertise this all makes for some wonderful productions!

Loved the play on grief! We went and saw it two times. The kids, who acted in the play, were amazing and it is an issue that needs addressing and was addressed well in the play. You won’t be disappointed!!

Ive been to some of these productions and going to the Theater Bug is always one of the best possible ways to spend a Friday night in my opinion. The productions are always top notch and tonights play was beyond excellent!

Winter concert ON AIR was great.

We are fortunate to have an establishment like Theater Bug in our community. It provides an open minded and accepting space for kids of all backgrounds to focus on theater. The subject matter often pushes social issues, but is always fun. The kids put in a ton of work; it is a commitment, but it pays off with great shows.

Amazing performance of Much Ado About Nothing. The actors did a great job and the concession/other people behind the scenes did a fantastic job making sure everyone was comfortable.
