Its a nice flat trail. Great for folks who want to bike, walk, run. Foliage is beautiful on some sections. Its also a throwback to see the old trolleys still operational. Along the way you have a bit of everything from an inlet, some swampy land, to a bridge, old mills and industrial area, underpass, murals, residential neighborhoods, trees lining the path. Its paved the whole way and plenty of parking depending on the time. No elevation gain so its good for the elderly. It stretches about two and half miles each direction, from Quincy to Mattapan.

Once again this is another place to put on your bucket list. They have so much to offer you hiking, picnic areas for the family and more. It is peaceful and relaxing while enjoying your time with nature. You were see birds and more. Take your family for a day of fun. Or maybe just need a little time to relax?

Wonderful bike path along the water, connecting a number of parks and playgrounds. Parking lot has porta potties. Splash pad was operating today.

This rail trail is a nice addition for Boston, as not many are within the greater Boston area. It is quite pretty at the eastern end, with the estuary, mud flats, and many wildflowers.However, the people visiting here seem to care very little about COVID-19. Fewer than 1-in-5 were wearing masks. Worse still, the five Boston Police officers who passed us on the trail were not wearing any masks at all.

Great outdoor space for biking/walking with multiple lots for parking. There are many spots to sit or lay a blanket and take a load off. Looking forward to going back!

This is a great resource.We are looking forward to the cleanup later this month.It appears that as the park and walk gets dirtier with trash, people stop picking up after their pets.

Beautiful little water park for the children with plenty of freshly cut thick grass to run barefoot in as they dry. Along the rivers edge, which has many romantic places to traverse for the adults.

This is a beautiful nature reservation and walking path! I love how it is easily accessible and connects to other walking paths like the beginning of the Harborwalk! I have been walking here for years and its lovely. Nice views of the Neponset River and how it leads to other water ways with beautiful scenery and you can start to see the rest of Boston! My one suggestion would be to add two public unisex restrooms and remove the porter potty ones. I have seen other walking paths some smaller that have restrooms. Otherwise this is a nice path to walk during the day when the weather permits!

Very peaceful and tranquil location!

I enjoy walking here every morning, or before the sun sets. My dog also loves it here, she gets to meet other dogs and has lots of fun sniffing everything. Highly recommend coming here often.

Beautiful place, lot of nature to see. But dont fish here after 7pm,the fish jump, but dont bite. In the fall and winter, its freezing here.

If you are not from the city , this is the place to visit you can take in the sights and sounds of a real expressway while enjoying the out doors. Parking is only $45 for the day (remove vehicle before 5pm or get towed). I just sit back and listen too the birds chirp and all the cars either zooming past(Sundays only) or honking loudly and sirens blaring! The common greeting between locals is bein afleek pronounced Ben af-fleck. There are public bathrooms and a concession stand that offers traditional dandelion soup and salad(bring change with you)freshly picked and locally harvested. The salad is served warm with avocado toast and your choice of dressing. Bring plenty of pocket change for the restrooms, the machine accepts quarters and euros.
