Its nice for smaller children. It has a small playground with swings, a slide or two, and monkey bars. You can feed the geese and walk around the track.

In a town where there were frustratingly few recreation centers exist that are open to the general public, are not part of a college or only allow those eighteen and up to use the facilities, Walter B stands out as one of the few choices. The oudoor pond and trees are lovely, the indoor facilities are reasonably well-maintained. I cannot give five stars because the hours of operation and days open are too limited and very inconsistent and the basketball courts are rarely available for free play. (They are usually being used by various adult basketball leagues, kids cant join their games and are left waiting on the bleachers for court time.) Still, Im glad that this facility exists for the kids that need it most.

Would be better if the playground area would have some kind of drainage so the kids could play. The whole area was still holding water and it stopped raining 2 days ago. The kids couldnt play and that was the whole point in going.

People have over fished so dont go expecting to get much in that department. The overall place is nice to walk because they have trails. There are table to eat at in the shade. A playground for smaller children. There is a rec center that is nice.

Should have more swings for toddlers/infants(one of the two harnesses swings was missing). More shaded areas for kids to play, recreational center should be open as long as the park is. Water fountains should be at the playground for adults, kids and pets. There should be more things for children with physical challenges to play with and do at the playground.Still a nice place to bring the family and run around for an hour or so. Just watch out for the geese and gander poop!

It is a good recreation department. There is also a good walking track and good fishing!

The WBW Park is a nice area, you can feed the ducks, have lunch or enjoy some quite or quality time with family. However the ponds are looking terrible, the water level is very low.

Love it here. My grandson and I come every weekend to feed the geese and play on the playground.

My mom and I enjoy feeding the ducks and geese. Its relaxing and peaceful sitting by the pond and watching the sunset together.

A great place to have a large gathering (traveled from FL, SC, GA, TN). Access is a bit tedious for older folks or disabled...however our family reunion party of 40 was told it was ok to drive on the grass to drop off some elderly and to unload food etc. So not a problem. Very well maintained with electric overhead fans, lights, picnic tables, lined trash receptacles, spotless, full equipped male/female restrooms, all areas swept clean. We had the pleasure of speaking to a facility maintainer, Ms. Catherine Jordan--Baldwin County could not have a more pleasant, helpful, harder working employee. A great county ambassador! Thank you Ms. Jordan and Walter Williams for a hassle-free, pleasant experience and family reunion. Definitely recommend WBW Jr. as an area venue for a larger get-together!

It is popular and on some days busy but it is large so there is plenty of room. The pond has a walking trail that ventures slightly into the woods. Many times, there are a few people fishing. There are Canadian Gueese that stay there in the summer and a few local ducks. The ball fields and the tennis courts are well maintained. It is a beautiful place.

Nice area for a bday party. The walk to the pavilion was a little to long considering all the stuff you have to carry when throwing an event, and the ants were terrible but other than that it was great.

Great park! The last time I visited a family with Young Adults were playing loud very filthy languaged rap. We had to leave because my 4 year old was starting to repeat it. You get your days I guess.

Great park, recently dept seems not on top of things when it comes to rec. sports . my daughter has played softball here for 3 or 4 years and only once did they recieve a trophy well a medal that were left over from a previous season and they had to peel off the original description from the other team and this last season they got left over shirts . only once did the recieve a decent uniform but every year still pay the same for a t shirt and shorts . all the attention goes to baseball. its also a shame that there are fewer girls each year that play and there is hardly enough for 2 teams in each age group but I also think its due to how the program is run bC we have thought about going to a different county as well but still hold out hope it will change. . it could be something great if someone who cares gets behind it.

Great paved walking path with plenty of geese to feed. Two open playgrounds and two more near the fields for the games. A nice gazebo, gumnasium, tennis courts, and fishing pond.
