If you are looking to acquire more knowledge of Georgias history this is a place to go. Definitely include this in your travels to Milledgeville. Restoration efforts have been very effective. Our Tour Guide was informative and friendly. I would have rated this 5-star but due to COVID-19 the bedrooms are temporarily closed off. Gift shop does have some interesting items for souvenirs.

A solid five star activity. Great mansion with 1800s decorations. At Christmas they incorporate holiday decorations and a spectacular tree. Nice video to start with and a casual, informative guide takes you through all three levels of the mansion. Great value at $7-10 a person, and worth the effort to get to Milledgeville. Also try to include a tour of Andalusia a few miles away.

Love to go into this place, even though I work at Ga College and this place is part of it, I have to go there time to time and every time I go I always learn more and more about it. If you get a chance its worth going to check out!

My grandson and I went today for the second time. We had Noah as our guide and Noah was so interesting and so knowledgeable. He answered all the questions and gave us more insight to the lives of the governors as well as the slaves. A special thanks to Noah

Wonderful tour with well informed docent. We visited while the mansion was decorated for Christmas. Amazing and beautiful. The decorations used items that would have been common during that time frame and were gorgeous. Well worth the visit.

Going at Christmas time was a treat. They have candles, a massive tree, and handmade decorations. They also had a choir singing in the rotunda balcony. Look... This is Milledgeville. We have mellow yet eccentric character. This is big building full of that type of history. Come on down.

We had Hannah as our guide. She is wonderful. I took a small group of middle school boys. She answered all of their questions. Theres a lot of history that most people are unaware of, here in Milledgeville.
