Large park. Good for social distancing. No restrooms accessible because of C19. Be careful on the water decks, they need some much needed TLC.

Its a nice quite park you will see a lot of families with their children, others walking their dog or dogs. They have a large playground for kids and like 2 gazebos for activities too. It also has a small lake with ducks, geese, laughing seagulls and common moorhens. You will also see a families with their kids feeding bread to these birds boy do they enjoy it. Besides its go for walking, taking photos, having a picnic or just relaxing reading a book. I recommend it.

Great park for exercise...it is about 0.88 miles around. Kids have lots of fun here too.

Nice park well maintained. Bathrooms are locked which doesnt make sense as this is Texas and they should be open all year

This park is great for fishing, on The Weekends they have a lot of recreational sports going on so I would avoid coming on the weekends. Park is shaded very nicely, but the walk from the parking area to it is kind of far. If you want to be semi close to it it’s best to park on the east side parking lot. The park has a nice trail that you can walk on. I’ve never been here just for leisure, I’ve always came for a sporting event.

Beautiful neighborhood park. Has soccer fields & a big childrens playground. Can be pretty busy during the day. Lots of runners. Their needs to be a little more up keep, youll find lots of trash. Their can be a smelly area when walking around.

One of the most beautiful well-kept parks Ive ever seen . If you want to walk theres a walking trail, if you want to sit there places to sit and just look at the ducks in the water, theres a place for the children to play . you can fish , the people have been so friendly in the park , you can walk your dog there with no problem. I absolutely love Valley Creek Park. Its one of my favorite things in Mesquite Texas

Always come here for a peaceful walk or run. Looks great at night. My husky also enjoys her time here no matter what time of day :)

Mesquite has some of the best parks. Not for fishing though, but its still relaxing at their parks. They keep them clean and the environment is nice.

The park is an excellent place to take the kids. Great covered play ground, picknic area, plus tennis courts. Also has a jogging trail with acommoding exercise equipment along the way.

Even though we have social distancing outside our homes, families can still go out & walk together even if your children are your 4 legged friends.

Great place to walk. U have a feeling of security and community. A very pleasant atmosphere.

We had our first family picnic here. The park was nice. There are birds in the pond, not sure what kind, that entertained us. The pavillion is close to the park which is convenient. We set up a volleyball net and a tent by the pavllion. There was ample space. The restrooms are under the pavillion but are for thr entire park. We didnt have any issues with citizens being rude or disrespectful as we fellowshipped. Its a long was from the parking lot to the pavillion if you have a lot to carry. I recommend parking on the sidewalk; not the grass. The Mesquite Police did take a man to jail that was fishing in the pond without a license.

This is a get away. You can safely walk, go jogging, fishing and your kids can play. I love the peaceful atmosphere. Check it out.

My favorite place to relax since 1994. Ive watched this park grow. Just hope everyone would continue to be considerate of the beautiful ducks.

Decent park with the lovely smell of some dirty water in the pond. The restrooms need some love and the rubber is coming up on the playground. Overall compared to other local parks this is not that bad. The park is sizable with room to foyer kites and play soccer. The picnic area is not the cleanest but is available. Come for a run or feed ducks.

I personally dont like it because they is a lot of mosquito around the pond but otherwise is good to go and have some fun with friends and family.

Feels very safe. Open air and a lake to walk around. Shade and a playground for the kids. I go running here.

Ive been twice, the first time it felt fairly safe because there were more people around not looking to cause trouble. The second time was during a weekday around 1 and I am certain my vulnerability being a woman with a child in a nearly abandoned park was my mistake, because a man was stalking and staring at me. He came right up into the playground and just lingered watching me. I think he meant to rob me. Either way we started walking away and were armed so we made it to our car. Just remember to be aware at all times cause this guy came out of nowhere. Dont let your guard down and go during busier times. Safety in numbers. Nowhere is 100 percent safe especially in Mesquite.Other than that the area is clean and very beautiful, the trails are nice, and the ducks are friendly. It is well kept.

Dont fish here!. No fish in this lake. Its a dead lake but has many turtles. Everyone I talked to says they tried but didnt get one bite. I tried live minnows, top water crank grasshoppers, many lures of different types. Apparently this lake is not stocked with game fish. Great walking lake, family picnic lake, kite flying lake, sports lake, just not a fishing lake.

Beautiful park. Nice running trail, big playground for kids, and a big pond with ducks that expect to be fed!

Love this place, clean, the pond is gorgeous. I love taking pictures of my kids here. The playground is great, lots of options, 6 swings, I like how its padded/soft. Restroom is reasonable, clean. We like feeding the ducks. Some people fish here, have picnics, lots of open areas. May use bike or roller skate, I think as long as its not motorize you can use the trail.

Cool park, but it reeks of sewage

Been going to this park my entire life, and I really enjoy it. My brothers and I have explored every square in of the park. We have also covered every part of the woods. My one problem is that they should restock the fish in the pond; because it used to be a popular fishing destination, and now it is not. Other than that it is really fun. Watch out for the snakes, they hang out in the reeds.

This is seriously the *best* park Ive been to! Theres a fantastic playground, several little ponds, a mini lake, a seating area with several tables and large grills, plenty of space to run and play and several different kinds of ducks.

Definitely the best park in my area its got 2 ponds to chill by, a baseball diamond that is also used as a soccer field sometimes and a football field too.

Beautiful park with two ponds, walking path, shaded playground and picnick area. Lots of wildlife to enjoy....birds, cranes, turtles, white geese. Very nice, well maintained, also near some football fields and ball diamonds.
