It was an ok visit until we found the playground at the school. That made things better. It is under construction- the gravel kind of takes away from the scenery. Great for a jog or picnic.

Beautiful park in the middle of the neighborhood. Love to sit and watch the ducks. Sometimes I throw bread and watch them fight to the death over my scraps and I laugh a deep laugh for I am the Bird Lord.

Gorgeous! Have you seen it since its renovation? I watched the water begin to refill, then went to see the finished view. The water is sparkling. The red cypress needles already hint at Autumn.

Great little city park which is currently having its drainage updated, so the pond is temporary drained.

In my solitude, I decided to visit this park on a cloudy windy day. Sounds like a horror story, doesnt it? Lol; anywho it was cool. I took a very very very long walk. The trail stretches quite the distance. There is work out equipment onsite near the lake so enjoy!. The equipment was fairly clean during my visit; hopefully it remains that way. There are numerous ducks on site; and its quite peaceful in a nice quiet neighborhood.

Great place to take the kids and feed the ducks! I went here as a child myself. They have improved the park greatly since then. Added a playground and water fountain. Always good memories made there!

Theyve almost drained the pond trying to fix the fountain thing in the middle..but the ducks are still there playing in the remaining water thats left..work in progress.Walking is still available..if youre intrested..Hot outside!! July heat!

Just fyi...the pond has been drained and looks like they are doing some excavating and improvements.. I dont believe you can walk around this pond anymore either. Just visit City Lake Park in the mean time until its finished.

Very nice walking path around a neighborhood lake. A 25 fountain, small fishing pier, various waterfowl, and bald cypress all contribute to this pleasant north Mesquite park. The Hertage Trail bike/walking path runs through the park as well.

It is a nice clean park.

Im always here walking with my children! Ive been coming here for over 6 years. Great place for a picnic or just a breath of fresh air. My folks from Chicago loved it and the weight station is a bonus!! Highly recommended

City of Mesquite takes wonderful care of this park. This city should be getting a big thank you from all of us around here.

This is a nice place to go walking, have a picnic, exercise or just to sit and be to yourself. I like to bring my camera and take pictures. I sit down, get comfortable and photograph the scenery, my kids, the ducks and the squirrels.

They are doing some improvements to the park and the lake it should be ready soon.

Very family oriented place. Has a small park for the kids and the pond is stocked with bluegills, sunfish, and decent bass. Nice little trail the wraps around the pond too. Great for a sunday fun day or just an afternoon stroll.

Proposed to my wife here some 13 years ago. Bummer to see it drained but looking forward to it being full again.

Nice quiet park until the city came along and started putting a new parking lot. They need to leave our parks alone.

Although the water was a little green from the algae and we could always use more rain because we live in Texas the water level was a little down but the park in all is a very clean and nice park.

Its close to home. Fenway, my Boston loves to go their. Loves to watch the ducks and all the other things going on there.Ive taken my dogs to this park for over 20 years. Nice family place too!!

The park was a lovely place for a stroll or even a nice run; and they even had an area with work out equipment like an outdoor gym! The pond in the middle has a water fountain and lots of ducks! I would highly recommend.Awsomme peaceful park sent from God..

Its a wonderful place to take photos and walk for exercise and fun.

It is a quite and serene place to visit during the day. People visit to jog around the lake. I have done that many times. It also has exercise equipment and a play ground open to the public. This pond also serves people interested in fishing.

This is a really nice neighborhood. My bf & I went fishing here. He did catch a big LMB (Large Mouth Bass) but it wasn’t easy. Took time and patience.

Me and my kids love this park,we love to see the ducks and enjoy walking around the pond.

We love this park. It is one of our fav summer places. Disappointed to see how much trash people are leaving. Also the water is covered with algae. Ive challenged my older kids to do something about it, so if you see them out there picking up trash, feel free to join in!!

Caught this amazing bluegill at Ablon park.

Its an amazing place to go. You can do a lot of things there. Walk, run, fun and activities. You can also fish or feed the ducks. Theres even a chessboard / checker table at the exercise station. Oh did I mention that? Come check it out.

Lots of shaded places, nice walking trail, playground, good place for family fishing, feeding ducks.

Looks so much better now with all the trees around the pond then what it did when I was a kid.Really disappointed with no fish in the pond anymore. Just too many turtles

This is my favorite park in Mesquite. A nice place to enjoy watching the ducks on the water, or go fishing, or just go for a walk. The Mesquite Heritage Trail runs adjacent to the park and it is a popular trail for jogging and bike riding.
