Great walking trail, great layout of the lake BUT too often smelly and dirty. Need better supervision of the cleanliness of the lake. Oftentimes workers only clean areas that they can drive to. Visitors need to do their part also. All in all it is a good place to visit but can even be better

Always love this place for many years...groom kids going to school to waking the dog to meeting up with friends and just a great relaxed little atmosphere with the bird life and fishing and relaxing

Went there to vote. In & out. Friendly people assisting everyone. Took Less than 20 minutes.On another note theres a pond & park. Great place to exercise, picnic, feed the ducks & geese. I have seen children fishing off the piers.

A very well kept park. Plenty of ducks. Odd that it is right beside a cemetery but a great place to relax or let the kids play.

Very quiet, not to busy, and people were not in your business! Fountain was on, ducks were out, and nice photo location.

I liked this park I went to a gender reveal gathering. Everyone social distancing in family groups. Its definitely a place to watch various types of water fowls and just kick back and de-stress.

It is a nice place to spend quality time with the family.Perfect place to fish with grandchildren. The best thing its a short drive.I highly recommend the park.

My beautiful granddaughter and I went to feed the ducks and before you knew it we were feeding the pigeons too. We only brought one loaf of bread but we should have brought about 3 loafs. We started feeding the ducks and before we knew it a flock of pigeons flew down and were taking the bread crumbs from the ducks.

Plenty of shade trees for early morning walks after 8:30am in this Park. Very pleasant, cool and quiet. I enjoyed my 2hr walk. Very convenient for fishing or just relaxing in the Park with Family & friends . 2 Thumbs Up!!

You can fish, walk, feed the ducks/geese, theres a play ground with bathrooms and parking. Really nice little park to go to.

Love to walk it during the fall and spring kids love to feed quack quack as my child calls the ducks.

Careful! This is a loooong post--in order to be as fair as possible. My experience started out pretty good...Nice crisp-cold morning to stand in line...EVERYONE (responsibly) had their masks on..I got to my destination to vote at exactly 6:02am..I was like number 13th or 14th in line..Polls were slated to open at 7am..They opened at 7am sharp--excellent! Poll worker greeter looked to be a young Hispanic lady. She was so nice and cordial..Great idea City Lakeside to have a nice person at the forefront..We were all moving through and I noticed 6 tables in a row available--quickly and efficiently helping voter..Heres were it took a most wicked-horrid-corner/turn. An very elderly caucasian man walked up to the #7 table...The table read #7 Judge..Ok..I completely understand everyone is NOT a morning person...I get that..I am a 50-something years young African American University grad...He looked at me and grumbled Ill help you here..I was thinking uh oh, he does not look happy to be here in looming facility-this moment in time..Loll...I am just smiling and happy just to be helped so soon..?Help?I handed him my ID...He looked over and underneath his glasses--at the computer...We who are adults/teenagers even children recognize by now that when people began to intently gaze into a computer when they are in position to be of service?..Something is wrong....Right? Lolll...Ok, I signed where it read to sign..I then saw the 2 little words Done signing...*Click*As he became increasingly lost...Individuals who were standing behind me waaaaay down the line were stepping up to be helped..Mouth dropped...Okay, little ole caucasian lady was seated next to him...She had wrote my name on the form and was right on point, ready to proceed etc......He was pretty crusty, rude, non cordial...creepy quiet and sullen. At least try to have a little conversation with me to divert attention away FROM situation at hand..He NEVER asked for help..Apparently he tried it a *second time and what he said to me---after Id patiently waited?( I had my book with me and able to stand there and read it--Because it took sooo long)...This.. man pulled up system a *second time..Turned the screen for me to sign ...AGAIN and said DONT TOUCH NOTHING (What as m I six?)...Thats about the ONLY other thing he said to me from when I walked up.. I was thinking ok, you pushed/clicked wrong buttons and pretty much blamed me??....I glanced at station 6 and saw NUMEROUS people click the done signing button..He tried a 3rd time..Nothing!!An African American woman who was being called , pulled and questioned ALOT appeared to be in charge--I believe her tag read manager ...She was handling another young lady whos name the computer couldnt find in system... and an elderly man who walked in with a green ballot sheet--what seemed to be simultaneously and effortlessly...So cool to watch..She looked over at him(crusty) and noticed...I...was....still....standing.....there...She asked me a couple of quick questions did I request a mail in ballot?Etc....Nope..I told her I just voted at this very facility a couple of months ago or so for Senate race...Ive lived/voted in Mesquite since 1996..She respectfully asked me to sit down so she could check this out...System stuff...*shrug*After, not sure how long, she called me over...I was then able to vote...So this visit was bitter-sweet..VOTE!! and VOTE early...The U.S. is in turmoil...Putrid, vicious, hatefilled land. Sad...PRAY for peace, joy, love, goodness, meekness, faith and temperance...

Its pretty, has enough parking and is well kept. Plus I love seeing how people just chill there and just eat lunch in the benches on a weekday while others play Pokémon Go while walking their pets.

My 2 year old son looooves water, and the kiddie pool there is amazing. The lifeguards are so sweet and the lady at the front desk is really nice. Plus, the slide rocks!

The kids liked feeding the ducks better than the playground. We were told not to give them bread so we brought some duck food instead. They see playgrounds all the time, but those cute feathery ducks won them over hands down! Also, there is a fire Dept across the street. Seeing shiny fire trucks was cool too.

Its great for catch and release, or beginners. There are bathrooms unsure if they are open yet.

The park looks dirty an the water too. Plus when fishing here it sucks that they only stock it once a month unlike every two weeks like over places. Not coming back anytime soon

This park is so relaxing and enjoyable. We go to walk and feed the ducks. When the holiday season comes around they decorated and it is perfect for capturing holiday pictures.

It used to be so nice but it was not clean and dead fish on the side walk and trash everywhere

This is an excellent park to barbecue and enjoy the view of the pond and ducks. The park is very clean and provides restrooms, picnic areas, and water fountains as wellThe people that bring their dogs here do a good job picking up after them

Easy to get to and very nice views. Stocked with catfish in the summer and trout in the winter. A licence is needed for 16 and older and there is a five trout limit per day. The catfish still bite here too .You can walk around the whole pond on the cemented walk way or just chill underneath one of the many trees and watch the ducks swim or just picnic. Many places to fish.

I dont know anything about the lake because I just moved here. But what I can tell you about the spot where they held Super Tuesdays elections was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!!! My first time ever visiting this site and last time voting here. It was a very hostile environment! People voting were spoken and treated like children. I have PTSD and my anxiety was out of the box. It took everything in me to not leave on the middle of voting. Where I was stationed a man stood in the floor area of a kitchen and starts yelling at people about their cell phones. I believe strongly it could and should have been handled differently. Yelling at people to get them to do what you demand them to do is not cool. We are tax payers, homeowners, parents, professionals, retirees, human beings. Our pets are not treated the way we were treated. Next time, put people in place who knows how to address people in a kind and respectable manner. I hope this gets back to the mayor of Mesquite.New home owner in zip code 75181

Mostly peaceful. Love the old cemetery behind it. Ducks and geese are pretty friendly (they dont try and attack you lol) very clean (besides duck poop which you cant complain about that)
