Theater was very clean and the heated seats were a nice feature. Nice that they are using assigned seating and will not leat anyone purchase a ticket that is within two chairs of another family.

Never been to an AMC theater before, but so disappointing. Never had such horrible popcorn, and seats have heaters in them, and it gets hot if you bump that button. Not a good experience.

I am watching the AMC app for when it opens back up. I plan to be there either the day they open back up or the day after. Have not been there since it was an IMAX so I am excited about going back. It is going to be worth the wait my family misses being able to go to the theater to watch movies

Renovated theater after AMC took over. Stadium seating with plenty of walk way between seats. Seats are roomy and comfortable with ability to recline/extend footrest and to heat the seats. Theater was comfortable and not overly cold and kept pretty clean. Standard concession with additional hot food that can be ordered and delivered to you seat. Drinks are self serve with lots of soda options.

Its a movie theatre. It is clean, staff is competent... What more can you ask for?

They hassled my son over his Gator mask and made him wear a different one which is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. The snack bar people were rude and the red vines were rock hard. Customer service was TERRIBLE .

Planned a movie with my brother, looked up times and showed 12:45, however when we got there we could only see the next showing at 1:45, I’m guessing it may have been booked on line and no more seats available. (However, our movie only showed a few seats left when we picked where we wanted to sit, but it was not full when the previews or movie started). So we went to the different show that was earlier as we were meeting someone after. The time of the movie according to my ticket showed 1:30. We went in about 1:15 after I purchased a pop for $6.50 (hwy robbery). We sat for 15 minutes watching ad after ad, till 1:30 and of course I know they do have movie preview BUT really a half hour???? I looked at my watch and it was 2:00 when the movie started. I was mad that they feel they can make people sit there for an extra 1/2 hr watching movies previews not coming out till summer and fall. A 1/2 hour I can not get back of my life. I’m only here till April but I will certainly not go back. If AMC reads these reviews, please consider how long a person should have to watch previews. I guess if the movie says 1:30 it would be great if you could make the movie start at 1:30.

It makes going to the movies a night out! You can (and should) get advanced seating, orders from the restaurant, reserved on line. You know where youre huge lounge theater seats are and you restaurant order is brought to you! Also has a bar. A night out!PS: Not a bad seat in the theater.

Nice staff. Nice lobby. Nice big, roomy recliners. Would be great but they are ALWAYS disgusting and dirty. We have to clean the food pieces and grease off the recliners EVERY time. Who wants to touch the reclining controls when theyre covered in melted chocolate? Gross ..

This AMC theatre has recently been upgraded. We have come here before and it wasn’t very clean. Now you enter and it’s very pristine and they have added new deluxe seating where you can recline your seat as well as heat it. It’s super enjoyable. Not only that but they added a bar as well. If you are looking to go out to the movies and enjoy comfort and a couple drink this east Mesa location is the place to be. We enjoy going here because of its cleanliness and comfort with the new upgrades. See you at the next movie AMC! We didn’t used to enjoy going to this theatre because it felt outdated but now you can catch the latest flick with your date in a clean, friendly and comfortable atmosphere where you can truly relax and enjoy a great movie!

I find it to be very clean. They offer great memberships for a decent price. My new favorite theatre. Imax, 3D, Dolby & Digital movies offered. $5 Tuesdays are great. Their popcorn is my least favorite thing.

We went to AMC Superstition East 12 to see a movie with the family. We had free passes that have no expiration date. When we went to pay they said we don’t accept them anymore and we would have to call or write a letter and they would tell us how to exchange them. I asked to speak with the manger to see what we could do now so we could see the movie. The women stated she was the manger and nothing would be done. I have to admit I like Harkins theater better and any time I have seen any issues at harkins they resolve it ASAP to keep customers happy. This is my first negative rating I have given. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. Let me know your experience if you Choose to see a movie at that location.

Its always a great experience going to the AMC theaters.

This is a favorite theater for my wifes and I. Customer service has always been good, and its the closest IMAX to where we live for all of our favorite action movies. They also have an awesome subscription model. For about $20 a month you can see up to 3 movies a week. So if you go to a lot of movies you should look into that.

Love to see a movie.

I ordered tickets online through the AMC mobile app a day prior to the movie. I was going to take my mother who is a resident of an assisted living home. The following day I get a phone call that she cant go because of this new virus that is out. So i tried all day since 8am to get a refund and the app kept saying an error has occurred and i never got my refund. The movie we were going to see didnt start until 3:40pm. So now i am very disappointed and will find another theater to watch movies at for now on. Its funny that no error ever occurs when you pay for something it only seems to happen if you want a refund and thats not cool. So my advice is dont buy your movie tickets to an AMC theater in advance because if something comes up beyond your control you wont get a refund and you will be out of that money.

If anyone is thinking about going to the movies at least twice a week, you should think about amc stubs a lister. $20 per month gets you 3 movies a week, no check in on phone fees, free popcorn and drink upgrades and accumulated points gets you money off your drinks and snacks. The app saves you time to skip the line. You can order food and drink ahead of time and they bring it to your seat. Hope this helps....enjoy!!!!!

This is a hidden gem... love that it has been all redone inside. Love the heated recling seats as well as reserving seats ahead of time. They have all the latest movies and best popcorn around of any other theater chain!

We like this movie theater the best out of all the theaters around.

We went to the 12:35 movie Robert Jewell. When we bought our tickets only place we could get 2 seats was in the front. The seats were not as bad as we were thinking but there were more empty seat on the back. Why were these not offered to us? The other thing was. I always prepare to be cold in the theater bu today wats ridiculously cold. Yes I’ll be back but it wasn’t an enjoyable day at the theater today. This was the theater on Signal Butt.

One of our favorite movie venues! Standard theater is best!! You get heated, reclining seats with a partition behind you so no one will ever kick the back of your seat again!! Its genius! You can also order food ahead of time and have them deliver it to your seat. The ability to pick your assigned seats is really nice too!

I suppose it was like any other theatre, the place was clean and the staff was friendly, we went to see 1917 on imax and it was overall a great experience

Besides the volume being so high the rest is perfect. They can turn it down a bit somits not so loud. The people and service is great though.

One of my favorite theaters, never had a bad experience here, I only wish the IMAX had reclining chairs like the rest of the theater does, but thats not a huge issue for me as theyre just more comfortable in my opinion.

Wasnt exactly what I expected and I agree the drinks were EXPENSIVE. I feel like I need to mention this commenter Sara Shoemaker (I hope Google notifies her that she was mentioned in a comment ) -Sara the fact that your husband changed you baby on the counter in the bathroom IS GROSS! TO EVERYONE AFTER. What he shouldve done if there were no changing tables is brought the baby to you to take into the womens bathroom and change him. Gross yes

This is a really nice AMC. I have AMC a list so Im partial to AMCs. However the IMAX screen is not the best. I went and saw Kanyes Jesus is King here and it was a cool experience but not like other IMAX screens that Ive seen. Also try to see Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse on their IMAX and the movie just didnt play. thankfully I was able to get a refund after 30 minutes of sitting, but it wasnt the greatest. Other than that though its really nice.

Awesome theater with reclining seats, but also has larger theaters for an IMAX experience. Not sure all theaters are equipped with the luxury seating, but full bar, tons of upgraded refreshment options, and tons of soda option on the self serve coke machines. Loved the experience!

Easy in/out. Pick your viewing tim carefully. We did & had 6 people in the auditorium.

Its a nice theater we went to the IMAX 3d the screen and the sound are really nice. The seats arent the the recliner seats like some of the others at that theater but they are newer seats and are pretty comfortable. I would recommend going here. It also seems to be a little less crowded than some other theaters

Went twice over this last weekend . Both times service was great , theaters were clean and movies had no technical problems. This AMC is now one of the better in the area because it has not gone full machines.

Seats are narrow and can easily turn on the heat function, which is nice but not when your already hot.

Good spot for a movie. Spendy for everything as usual. But free refills on beverages and quality sound and screen, which is why youre there.

My first time at an imax. Really enjoyed it. Ordered our concessions ahead of time and they were delivered about 10 min before the start. First class experience.

My husband and I choose to go to this location since we are right in the middle of Mesa Grand and here. The reason is for one of their staff members Alfonso. He is the sweetest man and we look forward to seeing him there every time. Highly recommend just to meet him. We see so many movies and he is always there. Thank you for making our experience that much more!

The newly remodeled theaters are amazing... And the seats are oh so comfortable. we joined stubs to get faster service otherwise you may wait in line for a little while.

The seats in the IMAX are rocking and no leg room. Could hear the advertisement but couldnt see it. Told someone and it didnt get fixed. Sound and picture for the film was great.

The seats recline and are heated which are awesome...but, $14 for 2 large Icees thats just ridiculous.

Its close to our house, but great look after the renovation. Very clean and nice amenities. Concessions are expensive but so is every movie theater. I love the amc stubs membership.

Love the seating! Staff was good. Front counter was manned. Easy to purchase tickets on line,reserve our seats, and get our tickets inside at the kiosk. We showed up nice bout 30 minutes early on a friday night movie. After getting popcorn, candy, and soda our hands were full and our theater (#6 - 1st one on the left) had ots doors closed! The previews hadnt even started showing. Kinda jard to open the doors after we paid an arm and leg filling up with goodies at the consetion stand. Definitely not 5 stars! None of the theaters had pictures or signs telling us which movie played in which theater, and nobody around to help me and my son! Definitely not a 4 star theater!

Friendly staff, very cool theater. Love the comfy reclining seats and the large space in between the rows. Went to an early movie and didnt use the bar but love how that is an option in the theater. Real 3D picture is great!

The other nice theater, but the reclining seats are way too small width-wise.I guess they went to the same guy who did the Arizona Cardinals Stadium seats.

While we enjoyed our movie experience here, we did not enjoy the lobby or employee experience. First of all, there are zero changing tables in any of the mens bathrooms, so my husband had to change my sons diaper on the countertop. Gross. Second of all, there was a Premiere Members line and a regular line for the peasants. The Premiere line had 2 cashiers while the other had 1. This is not made clear with signs at the registers so I had to put it together after standing in line and being passed by several people in the Premiere line. I think I was in line for about 12 minutes, almost making us late for our movie that we had showed up early for. Me and a few other people waiting in line asked the cashier when it would be our turn to go and he didnt really answer us. Eventually he just shrugged and asked me what I wanted. Having a VIP line that customers have to pay Even more for feels very greedy of AMC to me. Please at least have an equal number of cashiers for both lines!!!! One last note: I scoured the whole menu and walls behind the registers for any Popcorn or drink prices and could not find any listed. So I had to ask what all the prices were. Please edit your menus on the wall! Overall I dont think we will return to this location.

The theater was nice mostly clean, the bathrooms could use some attention or more frequent clean up. While watching our movie I noticed that there are a lot of people that use their phones and talk to each other which is really really rude and distracting

I love their Tuesday $5 movie days, and since you select the seating online, you just show up with no fuss and no lines, and thanks to their app with no paper tickets either. Always clean and staff is friendly.

Great seats in auditorium one, but the floor lights were shining on the big screen as well as a tiny blue light in the lower right center of the screen.

Did not expect the poor customer service, waited in line WAY TOO LONG for a new movie release. Even though we were 15 minutes early, found ourselves late for movie, only to pick another, because only one person working ticket sales (out of 4 booths) standing in the hot sun with no shade. Young kids employed, with a lot of pressure, and little effort to resolve issue when we brought to employees attention. There is “assigned seating” also, which is terrible, high, high prices for snacks, with a large emphasis on their profits, not the customers.Only upside is comfy seats. Go somewhere else for the price and service!

Waited at the counter for a while to grab a drink before a movie I was catching. A couple of guys were behind the snack counter, and after around 10 minutes of waiting I asked them if there was anyone behind the bar. They told me there was only one guy in the whole building who could pour alcohol and he was in the break room for another 15 minutes. Not sure why you’d have a bar somewhere if you’re not planning on staffing it completely; also not sure why the guys behind the counter didn’t think to mention any of this the whole time I was waiting.

The IMAX theater didnt disappoint but the property is aging. Decor is outdated. Watch out when opening the womens restroom door!

We just saw the new Spiderman movie here. The theater was great, staff was friendly and helpful. The location is very clean and the new reclining chairs and reservation system for tickets are great! Keep up the good work and thank you for a good evening AMC Gateway IMAX in east Mesa.

Sadly had a horrible experience at this location. I went to see Annabelle with two of my friends and when the previews and movie started the screen was so dark you could barely see anyone on the screen. Since this was a horror movie the dark parts were almost impossible to see. It didn’t seem normal at all so in the middle of the movie I finally got up to ask an employee to check it out. Finally found an employee who from the get go was very rude and acted like me talking to her was a convenience. She told me someone else had also complained but that it was a scary movie so that’s just how it was. I asked if she could check it out because it was not like a normal scary movie at all. She rudely said she would check it out. Obviously never did because no employee ever walked into the theatre room the entire movie and the screen never got fixed. I went to talk to someone in guest services afterwards because I was so upset that I couldn’t enjoy the movie and that the first employee I talked to was so rude. Someone said they would call over a manager for me and sure enough the “manager” that came to talk to me was the same women I had talked to the first time about the issue. Again very very rude and asking employees around her if they had seen the movie and if what I was saying was true or not. She started acting as if I was just trying to get free tickets and proceeded to lie to me and tell me I am the only person who said there was an issue even though she originally told me someone else had complained. She scoffed and said “well fine I’ll give you replacement tickets this time”. She handed us the tickets and then walked away. Will never be going back to this location because of the horrible customer service. Also going to be calling corporate about this because no one should get to be a manager walking around acting that rude to people.

If you want to have a great movie experience, than you should go to the IMAX theater on signal Butte and Baseline. This theater is very clean and has just been remodeled. The price to get in is a little more than at a regular theater but worth every penny. We went to see Fantastic Beast movie, had seen the first and couldnt wait to see the second. The concession price are a little high, but you actually get a lot for your money. They also have 5 dollar Tuesdays and that is for all new releases.

Close to home, reclining seats. Lots of restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Nice seats, comfortable auditoriums but the place is messy. Popcorn everywhere in the lobby, soda area is a mess with lids and straw wrappers everywhere. Condiment areas are gross, and the bathrooms arent that great either. I thought with all these messes where are the staff? Hanging out behind the concessions counter just laughing and joking around. Someone needs to to get these employees cleaning up. The mess makes me not want to come here.

Way too expensive. Got a big pretzel for $14 and it was cold and raw. Brought it back, they heated it up more and brought it to us. It was warm but still gummy. Now I have bad gas and diarrhea. Not a good experience at all. I think I will stick with Fatcats. Better food and cheaper. Seats are more comfortable too.

This is a busy theatre. You may find some upgrades like assigned seats, but youll understand why when you get to yours and discover those are actually recliners with electric controls.Purchasing your tickets online....early, for best seating choices.Sound levels are good. During the show lighting is adequate, should you need a trip for more snacks or the restroom.Parking is plentiful, but be prepared for a brief walk unless you arrive early.Popcorn and soda prices can add almost $20 to your visit - comparatively high.

Havent been to this theater since AMC took it over. Took my kids today and wow what a change. The reclining seats were a hit with my kids and I. A lot more comfortable way to watch a movie without being crowded. The popcorn and soda were great. Happy with this experience and will be watching more movies here!

This is a great theater. Visited for the first time to see Xmen: Dark Phoenix. The seats are so comfy and rock slightly. They are bigger than other seats so the extra room is nice. Would go back here.

Love attending movies at this location! Recently upgraded, it has very comfortable reclining seats with built in heaters and plenty of room that can be reserved ahead of time via online! Excellent sound system as well! Food was quite a bit overpriced as usual for a movie theater though......

I purchased 6 tickets for a 10:15 showing of Wonder Park on 3/15/19. Upon arrival the theater was locked. The young workers needed a manager to unlock the theater. It should have been opened by 9:30am but was still locked at 10:01a. They had no way to call t manager. No one answered the phone when I called. I called corporate who left me on hold for 19 mins and disconnected the call. I tried to get my refund through the website and was denied because the showtime had already passed. I spent another 22 minutes trying to get a refund through the # provided on my original order. They did process my order however it will take up to 35 business days for my refund!I’ve been to this particular theater before where they only had two workers cleaning and doing concessions, no ticket taker or anything. I will not be returning.

New seating lounge chairs are cool self-service on the drinks however popcorn being serve while we were there was old and towards the bottom of the popper had to take get back as it was sitting on a Shelf and she gave me some stuff out of the popper which was a little better but for the price is being paid they need to be top quality. Went to the 10:40pm showing of Ant Man and the Wasp. Was impressed with service received at that time. I frequently go to late showings and it is not rare for the staff to act put off. Received great customer service and bought a Stubs Premiere card for $15.00. How could you go wrong not buying one. Restrooms and theatre both clean. Just moved here, first impression very positive.

Technical difficulties caused a delay in the start of the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. However once it started it wss worth the wait.
