It’s a very nice place but the large groups of woman with no mask on , always finds a way to push you off the paths when there’s enough room for everybody but besides that is a very nice place

I took this trip 2 weeks ago and it was absolutely breath taking. My guide, Mary, I believe was her name, was very friendly and patient. I was lucky that I paid for an 1hr and half trip but was the only one that was there so I got a private tour. We had a little fall in a whole but it was okay the horse wasnt hurt and I got a rush of adrenaline. The 90 min ride was definitely longer than I expected and my legs were sore. If you have a chance check them out!

I very much enjoy this place, but would enjoy my time there if the general public were more courteous of others.First thing I notice every visit is dog droppings everywhere around Hyde Lake. Even somehow on the main sidewalk. Have to dodge those, and definitely too big to be from the local geese/ ducks. Just dont bring your dog if youre not prepared with doggy bags please. Or head on over to the actual leash free dog designated area of the park.Rude visitors taking up the entire sidewalk and forcing others off. Not to mention the people who choose to group up and stand still in the middle of the main sidewalk (forcing others to walk around with pretty much zero respect about the six foot social distancing rule) when there are literal fields they could stand in instead. Some people are here to do some exercise and better themselves.Again, would love it here more if people had manners. Would appreciate courtesy signs like please dont block the sidewalk and keep to the right side of the sidewalk so they can get a clue, but they probably dont know how to read either.

This morning, we went horseback riding at Shelby Farms Park Stables.Our trail adventure has been one of the highlights of our trip to Memphis. The wonderful all volunteer staff were so kind and helpful. The trail was peaceful and shaded about 60% of the time. We saw about a dozen deer and lots of squirrels. While a riding through the meadow, several of us had butterflies land on our hands or legs. All of the horses were well-trained and responded to the rider. I would definitely recommend this experience!

Best place to go in Memphis. I love taking my dog here and going on runs. Awesome bike and boat rentals and love the horseback riding stable. I loved my horse! Plus, our dogs love to go to the dog park and get in the lakes.

Yesterday and today were beautiful for a walk around Hyde Lake, especially yesterday which went up to 72 degrees. I have went kayaking (rental) here before and highly recommend it. During the pandemic, this is one of my go-to places to exercise and unwind.

Awesome place to go hangout. You have everything there. Literally! I love their kayak rentals personally. Very inexpensive. Fun to be outdoors. They have trails for bikes and walk/run. Ultimate frisbee course.

We had an amazing day outdoors on the farm! This really is one of the premier urban parks in the country. The wildlife is amazing, the staff are helpful if you need help from anyone and you feel safe knowing there is always someone around. We love the horses and the Ropes the most, but a simple bike ride is full of sights and beauty too. If youve never been you should take a day and explore as much as possible.

This park is beautiful. The ponds, wildlife is breathtaking. Go, take a walk around the lake or through the trail, you WILL love it.

One of Memphis best free family-friendly things to do. So many trails, playgrounds, lakes and piers, Bison-viewing, picnic areas, restaurants, horseback riding, zip-lining and canoeing (those last 4 you have to pay for)...youd be hard-pressed to find a better value in Memphis. Because its so expansive, you can spend days here, and still find something new to do.

You know I read the lower reviews I’m not sure I can be friends with those folks ... this place is an awesome local secret.. from boat rental to bike rentals walking trails shaded and full sun fishing gift shop and a killer front porch I have won photography contests taking pictures of the buffalo... awesome place must see...

Great trails for cycling and good amenities. Nice off-leash dog area. I even got to say hi to some horses!

It was good. I will be glad when they reopen the public restrooms during park hours. We came around 3:30PM when the restrooms closed for that day. I suggest to come after 9:30 am & before 3:30 PM during the week. See hours in picture.

My party of four went on an hour ride. Molly was our guide. She did a fantastic job. I rode Dolly and I enjoyed her. Sometimes she wanted to do her own thing but I like a challenge. I talked to and about her. I think she liked getting fussed at and shes very gready. We had a great time and we will go back.

I am in love with Shelby Farms Park. It offers SO much variety and is beautiful every season of the year. Shelby Farms Park is relaxing, adventure-filled, well thought out, and I am very consistently intrigued by different things I witness and engage there. You very easily could spend an entire weekend exploring Shelby Farms and would not be able to see and do all that is abundant there. It ALWAYS is worth checking their website to see which upcoming event you could go experience. There are endless opportunities to feel inspired, connect with nature, and other people at Shelby Farms Park!

Great park to bring your family and hang out. Plenty of good areas to go to for a nice meet up or walk.

It is such a beautiful place. We had a wonderful time kayaking around the lake, and hiking on the Wolf River. Definitely recommend going here.

Took my son and wife. Nice nature trails. There were even a couple of electric scooters there.

I love this park! It is absolutely beautiful. It was plenty of space to distance yourself and family from others. The views are amazing. We didnt rent bicycles or anything just went and had a little picnic. Didnt have too many issues with bugs. (You are outside some were expected.)

Great time out on the horses and trails. I am a Wrangler in California, visiting my sister, and this ride was well worth it!

Food was great. 3 people had the grouper sandwich, 1 had the Crab melt and 1 had the Trout with crab & asparagus. 4 different desserts. All great. Service was super also. Beautiful day!

I like the open space and attraction in the park with lots of space between areas of attraction. It would be great if everyone clean up their dog poop. Otherwise, watch your step. Thanks to all who are cleaning up behind their dog and other people dogs.

Shelby Farms Park is where I work and I feel like I am on vacation every day! If you havent been here you must come and bring your family with you, for me the park is the jewel of Memphis!

Disc golf course was a lot of fun but very easy to get lost and not very well maintained

There is a lot ... truly a lot ... of space for you to walk, run, and play. Nothing remarkable in terms of the distinctiveness of the place. Just the massive amount of open space.

Solid outdoor experience. Love running the trails and the lake path. Clean and safe. Family friendly.

My friends and I met up for a nice picnic with our kids and pup. We all enjoyed ourselves. The kids just ran around enjoying nature and snacks

I love Shelby Farms Park, the Lakes and the buffalo. It is really a beautiful place for a nice walk or a bike ride on the trails. I only wish that the powers that be, would put some sort of family friendly food options. Food options that children would enjoy would be nice !

Nice open areas, 2 mile trail around the river that provides a good workout.Has been a few reports on twitter from people going in the greenline trail about sexual harassment. Make sure you bring a friend for safety/prevention.Be careful and be safe, guys.

I’m a native Memphian who no longer lives in the city. Every time I’m back home I make it a point to come here for runs. Memphis: you have no idea how nice of a place you have here. I didn’t realize it fully until I moved away.

Beautiful park with a nice walking and biking path around a nice little lake. Clean and pet friendly. I just wish they had a few more trash cans/pet bags around the path for accidents.

Not nearly enough restrooms/portable toilets on the premises. Other than that issue the park is fairly well maintained.

It is Best park in Memphis. It will be better to have more toilets in the park. It do not open on time. I guess the Gate should be opened on 6am.

You must go canoeing at Shelby Farms Park. It is truly a wonderful experience. This was my first time and I loved it!

Its beautiful and in the early morning when the sun is coming up it is truly magical. It motivates you to workout your body and meditate to clear your mind.

Beautiful HUGE park, so many options to explore . Walking around the lake, boats and bikes available, hiking through the woods, theres bison! Even an upscale seafood restaurant (though the restaurant looked a little too packed to be safe during pandemic even on the patio). Cafe in the visitor center has amazing food options for takeout. The extensive open grassy areas make it easy to forge your own route when exploring

Theres such a variety of things to do here. There are actually a lot of trails, more than you realize at first. Weve been exploring for a year and have just scratched the surface

The walking/ running path around the lake is always really well kept, and is nice and wide for traffic in both directions. Theres a separate path for bikes to make it even easier for everyone to make room (even if the bikes dont always use it for some reason). Renting kayaks and paddle boards was easy and fun, now just waiting for a restaurant to fill in again and it will be all set!

Something for everybody! Personally, the dog park (which is rumored to be, ‘The largest off-leash dog park in the continental U.S!’.) is our favorite. I’ve lived all over TN and the world, and I promise you, you’ve never seen a dog park like this before.

An urban park with large expanses. Lot of things to do. Highly recommended.

I came to visit my son, Im from Maryland. I seen this place and decided to stop and walk around it. Its roughly 3 miles around and many people walking around and biking or exercising. Everyone was social distancing or wearing face masks. The kids loved the swings. And the breeze on a hot day from the water was a breath of fresh air. Very relaxing

Great place to relax or go for a run. The renovations to the park and the lake is awesome. The Restaurant is a nice place to have dinner and watch the sun set too.

Went here for the Christmas lights Starry Nights drive thru and it was a really cool experience. Lots of variety and themes and the path was excellent. We went Christmas night so it was crazy busy with a pretty good wait but once we started it was smooth.

We always enjoy ourselves when we go there. I make dinner and my family and I take it to the park figure find a perfect spot on the grass over looking the lake until sunset.

Shelby Farms Dog park is the biggest and best place to take your dog in Memphis! There are woods, lakes and plains to hike through as you let your dog run and swim to her hearts content. Theres a station to spray your dog down in when you finish.

Beautiful place to carry your dogs to run and play. We carried a 5 pound dog and a 65 pound pit bull. Saw so many beautiful dogs .

Great place to work out or just enjoy your peace. Walking trails and bike trails paired with the best of mother nature. There is a restaurant as well as a visitor center there and much more

Always a great place to walk around in. Thanks for keeping the park open to the public to enjoy during the pandemic. Today, we saw a few (15 of them) rats by the water close to the weeds. That was very interesting and I might walk up to the information desk next time to ask about them! We will back again soon, Shelby Farms Park!

I like to take walks around the lake. Its peaceful and the atmosphere is so beautiful. Everyone is friendly and courteous.

Visiting the area, used to live here and I miss Shelby Farms!! Such a great place to walk, bike, kayak, fish, paddle boat and ride horses. The bison are also wonderful to see. Gotta visit more often or move back!!

The park is nice and open. Not too crowded and good amount of trails. Some of the areas have puddles so it makes it a bit muddy. Considering the amount of traffic it would be nice to maybe have some pebbles there to keep the amount of mud down. Otherwise very enjoyable

This is an awesome park. It makes you feel far away while being right inside the city. There are several lakes for boating and fishing. You can rent kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. There is a dirt bike track, bike rentals, miles of biking and hiking trails with bike fixing stations along the way. There are plenty of picnic pavilions and an awesome event center. They have a great farm to table restaurant on site as well. The Go Ape treetop ropes course is top notch.

I stayed just for a night but it was a nice rest. Very relaxed environment with smiling neighbors and full hook ups.

Shelby Farms is a beautiful serene place all year round my dog loves to go walking and running and sniffing at Shelby Farms it is the best place to just sit and take in if you and all the activities surrounding.

Theres something for everyone to enjoy here. This is a really nice park.

Beautiful area to relax. A number of activities to take part in. We chose to walk around the lake.

Huge park. Lots of activities. Great photos by the lake. Best time for photos and chills is at sunset. Children can enjoy the playground and young adult can enjoy the disc golf course or horseback riding. Many picnic areas inside this park. There is even a huge area for dogs off leash at the outback park.Hours vary by seasons as park rangers will come ask you to leave by sunset because I think this is a private park not by state park services. Thats the down point about it I wish they could extend the hours after sunset in the winters.Also during late summer they rented out a large portion of the park for cross country students and teams which can be annoying as traffic gets backed up, part of the trails got blocked off, plus considerable amount of noise and also trash. This is a conservancy park I dont think these regular activities should be held here.

Went to farmers market. Nice selection, good prices, friendly people. The Ripley tomato are worth the trip.

My favorite green place in Memphis. It never disappoints and is tied with best place to watch a sunset with the Mississippi River in my opinion. Lots of outdoor options and the perfect place to spend a sunny day outside. A must for those who live here and those that are visiting.

A massive park that shocked us with its size. It is very well maintained with trails running through the forrest, hugging the lakes along with more defined and paved roads for jogging. The park has a lot to offer from the duck boats to the on site restaurant and campground. Although my wife and I only visited for the afternoon, we appreciate the amount of activity the environment has to offer. This park is worth a stop whether you are on a road trip or live in the area. Stretch those legs and listen to the sounds of nature for a bit!

I love the trails at Shelby Farms. There is a lot to do there!

I love this park. I used to walk around the lake, but now dont so much. I love walking the other trails and inside of the woods. You will definitely have a good time at this park. Also the restaurants are another reason to visit this park. The staff at both restaurants are super friendly.

Beautiful, scenic, well-priced activities, clean facilities, friendly staff. Tip: Schedule horseback riding ahead (easy to do online). Also, the pavilions and picnic areas are mostly gonna be reserved and not available to use on weekends especially during nicer weather. So plan for that as well (bring a blanket) lol.

I walked around the lake and then I cycled the Greenline. People are always friendly and wasnt overly crowd.
