This is a great park to take a walk and add to your run route. It has wide fields and a couple of nice hills that keeps your cardio activity interesting. Its great for sledding as well.

Amazing park. Even if the wind was blowing, it did not reach the Pickleball courts. Wind curtains would help. But the low position of the courts kept the wind out. Minor cracks in the pavement. But that seems to be common all over. Inspirational players indeed.

This is a lovely park with three separate areas in the pavilion that all have fireplaces and picnic tables. The fully functioning bathrooms were open in October 2020 when I last visited. There is also plenty of green space with picnic tables to use to play or have a physically distanced gathering.

Good - Great park right next to CUNA mutual office. Nice rest area, toilets well maintained lots of spaces for kids to play. Pickle tennis ball courts are usually full. Grounds to play soccer also mostly occupied. Trees look so lovely during fall amazing vibe of red, orange yellow and green. The bad - sit out / party lounge area too noisy when occupied

Excellent park! Very spacious and lots of amenities. Small parking lot at the main park entrance that can fit approximately 20 cars. Plenty of street-side parking though. Large pavillion, soccer fields, basketball courts, a volleyball court, tennis courts, and a baseball field. Lots of connecting paved paths throughout the park. Occasionally, they have Opera in the Park here.

We were looking for some place for outdoor badminton and Garner Park worked well - flat grassy areas with enough tree shade to hide from the direct sun.

Good sledding hill. Not too steep, not too short. Wont send you to the hospital like Elver but big enough to be satisfying.

Garner Park is a gem in Madison! It has so many uses. The tennis courts have been converted to pickleball and now serve many active residents. Lessons are available through the summer months.Opera in the Park is a free event for the community that is held in what is a natural amphitheatre in the Park. The slope of the sledding hill provides summer seating to a huge crowd, drinking wine, picnicking, and enjoying sublime music from Madison Opera. The natural prairie is lovely in all four seasons, providing cover for a variety of birds and wildlife. The Madison Parks Department has recently upgraded the paths and roads within the park to make it very accessible. Playground equipment is available and well used by neighborhood children and visitors alike.

A wonderful medium sized park on Madisons west side. Room for a few soccer fields below near the basketball court. Up top near the really cool shelter are tennis courts. There are also several trails to walk through and around the park. There is also a softball area in the lower right side if your at the top of the park looking down. Also home to a few wild turkeys that you will see from time to time.

Got my ankles broken by identical twins on the courts here. They were money from the 3 and worked as UNIT totally capable of beating a team of Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson (Lil movie reference for the ogs out there) anyway pretty slick park, sun sets and cuts the court in half, so one side is shady and the other is sunny. I guess you could do other stuff there to. Other people seem to anyway.

Soccer fields, tennis courts, a play structure, basketball hoops, and volleyball net and sand. There is a multi level shelter, and if you reserve it through the parks department you get keys to the tower! In the winter the hill makes a good sledding area which has a flat ending so you wont slide into the road or a parking lot. The soccer fields also are flooded and turned into ice rinks with nets and boards.
