What a hidden gem in the busy downtown neighborhood. Amidst the high rise concrete jungles, this is a natural oasis that’s full of tress and beautiful flowers.I was researching for a Photoshoot spot for my daughter’s graduation, I found many of the graduations picture on google that were taken here. The beautiful view had just mesmerized me. I decided to go and check out this place. This park has many play grounds for the children and hiking trails for the adults. Many people also come here to have a picnic and to enjoy the spectacular view of downtown LA skyline. There is a spot at the top of the park that has the full view of the downtown skyline. There are two beaches here, one is facing the skyline and the other is facing the park. For those of you who are dating, this is like the romantic inspiration point in the old Hollywood movies. For Photoshoot, golden hours bring out the best shots with golden sunlight splashes all over the skyline, the result is spectacular.Parking is limited in the park but you find a few spots on the street.

This park provides unexpected respite from the urban pressures outside its gates. Meandering paths through groves of trees provide a serene spot from which to view the DTLA skyline. Vista Hermosa Natural Park is one of the rarest of hidden gems, a free one.

This is a nice place to visit with awesome views of the L. A. skyline. Lots of pot smokers though, so be prepared for the smell of skunk. Lol. The restrooms are very clean and the whole area is well maintained. Parking is pretty scare, though.

It’s a relatively small park, I don’t really recommend it for hiking or running since you’ve gotta run in circles to get some good exercise. But it has very nice view and would be nice for walking your dog or a small picnic.

Ive been coming here for years and was surprised that on my last visit they really let some of the park maintenance go unattended. although, it wasnt anything major that needed to be taken care of, it was still a bit too cluttered. i love taking a walk through here and enjoying the views of the city and the surrounding areas. i highly suggest visiting in the late afternoon prior to the sunset and sticking around for a while afterwards to enjoy it fully.

While not huge, this park offers great little areas to relax and hang out in. I appreciate the popular bench overlooking the city, flat area with trees that provide hammocking opportunities, and enough grassy areas for dogs and to picnic in.Parking here can be tricky because it is around residential but not impossible to find.Hidden gem that is a great getaway spot to enjoy nature.

We walked along the whole length of the park just taking in the scenery. Youll see some parts of the park are much more populated then others. There is garage parking under the science and art museum if youre planning on spending the day at the park but get there early as it fills up.The one major downside of the park is that it can free like an amusement park with ever attraction costing $10-40 per person to participate. The park is free but the cool attractions are most definitely not.

I first made the trip out to the Vista Hermosa Natural Park for a geology class to learn about radiolarian chert as well as other rocks from the area. The place is beautiful, and the professor, David Mu start, showed us all the sights from the headlands. It was also a nice drive in the area, and was well worth visiting. I have started going out there once in awhile since there.

My partner and I visit here fairly often. Merely having a small walk is one of my ultimate physical activities through the area. Sometimes it can be crowded, therefore I would suggest to visit during the less popular nights within the workweek. The best thing you can do here is simply just bring a camera and take photos.

Beautiful overview of the city of angels. Aside from the current smoke that seems to be everywhere, its a very open landscape that is the perfect place for a picnic or just a place to relax and read a book. Highly recommend checking it out right now to clear the pandemic blues, its a little something we all need right now!

Although it is nothing close to Griffith park in terms of scale and the scenic view, though I would not label “a must visit when you are in LA kind of place, I love coming here. Its always clean and serene. I like how they consistently maintain this place. It’s always clean and nice. I enjoy my morning walks here. Going through the trail will take you only five minutes (walking briskly) so in order for you to get an exercise you might have to circle min 10 times. Its a nice little park to relax. Sometimes, on a hectic day, I come here with lunch. Its safe, clean and pretty. A difficult combo in this part of LA since most parks are filthy.

One of my favorite parks in Los Angeles. Please don’t trash it, I noticed some trash along the path, please be kind enough to pick it up. It’s the only way to keep our places clean. I speak from my own actions. If I find trash along the way I pick it up because the only trace I want to leave behind are my footprints. Please use gloves, I carry a reuse-able bag and gloves in my car. And when I go to a park or trail, I take them with me. As for the park itself, it has about 15 parking spots, it’s never full but I’m sure it has its days. It is in an odd area but it is safe.

It’s a very nice park with fountain, playground, green grass and breathtaking view of DTLA building. I came here around 6:45pm and unfortunately i had to see those people who did hanky panky like a hamburger bun in public inside the park and trust me it wasn’t just a couple but many of them. I wouldn’t care if they did that in private but they did it in front of those kids who were in the park. BTW, i saw broken pieces of windshield around the parking area so don’t put your bag or any valuable thing that is visible from outside.

Its been 10 years since Vista Hermosa Natural Park has opened. It is planted with native California trees and vegetation that now have matured to the point that when you walk through this park, you can easily forget that you are so close to downtown Los Angeles with its massive high-rise buildings. Even from the highest elevations of the park, the high-rise buildings are very well out of the sightlines except for a few locations. It is a peaceful place and is also restful. A great place to escape the City, if even for a few minutes or hours. This is a great little park
