Nice relatively shady hike with a small parking lot. Path is mostly narrow and gets a nice amount of shade from overhead branches. Good to have a plan around where you are going -- can be a bit hard to figure out which way to go at certain junctions. Not too many people so easy for social distancing.Nice views, but I probably wouldnt go out of my way to come here compared to some of the other, prettier hikes in LA (eg: Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Runyon).

Pretty much always a nice hike at NHP. Somewhat tough getting back up once youve reached the bottom, but not unpleasant at all. The trail seems popular, so expect to regularly see other humans. Dont try to park in the lot, its easier on either Mulholland or one of the side streets.

Historical marker inscription:Mulholland Drive runs along the ridgeline of the Santa Monica Mountains between Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley. From here you can see a small portion of the 345-square-mile valley bounded by the Santa Susana Mountains to the west, the Verdugo Hills and the San Gabriel Mountains to the northeast. After the Los Angeles Owens Valley Aqueduct brought water in 1913, the San Fernando Valley became a major commercial farming area. Crops included corn, cotton, oranges, wheat, and walnuts. After the Second World War, the motion picture, automobile, and aircraft industries spurred urbanization and housing development. Population grew from 20,000 in 1920 to more than 1.8 million today.

Nice views, fair easy hike (although has steep-ish hills). Is it a pleasant walk? Yes. Are there better trails elsewhere? Also yes.

Great little hiking area near the heart of Beverly Hills. It goes downhill first and if your hike starts in the morning, a dewey verdant valley awaits you. The trails splits quite often and no signs to guide you but the big trail is obvious enough to take you down the hillside.

Hike down to the rainforest is beautiful but is also more challenging then most hikes in places like Griffith Park or Runyon Canyon. Bring water and it may be best to hike with someone. It is fairly popular at least so you should see others occasionally.Parking on-site as well as in the neighborhood nearby.

A friend steered us towards this lovely dog friendly hike just outside West Hollywood. Reminded me of an east coast hike with plenty of tree coverage and well maintained meandering trails. Elevation change was moderate and made for a number of beautiful views throughout. The small parking lot could fill up quick at peak times, but we lucked out with two spots available when arriving. Super nice people and plenty of awesome dogs coupled with a nice sunset made for an amazing hike.

Went with my family for the 4th of July so my little one wouldnt be scared of the sound. It was beautiful you could see the whole valley lighting up with fireworks. Plan to return for date night. Be careful on the road heading up, there were a lot of blind curves

From a short, flat hike to a long adventure over to Tree People, this has it all. Gorgeous view of the valley at its most photogenic and the mountains beyond. Seasonally, there might be a bunch of poison oak, so keep an eye out. Great place for a dog walk. And keep an eye out for the beautiful hawks!

I took a very interesting, intricate and Curvy backroads route there from UCLA. Thanks Maps Apps. Couldnt have done it without ya.I was most pleasantly surprised when I came upon such a beautiful view spot that evening. The mountains, the valleys and the Pacific stretching into the horizon. Twas so quiet and serene. And yet, I mused the irony of the history all around me and all the present ado just a few thousand feet back down, regardless of which direction one may choose. Aaaaah, L.A... 8>)
