We really enjoyed ourselves here. All of us love music and they had something for all.Second floor had the Backstreet Boys exhibit, was small but done very well. Husband loved the Baseball exhibits. If you like Baseball then you will enjoy eveything they have on display. Kudos to the Staff for being very helpful and friendly. Souvenirs are a bit expensive. Definitely recommend this place.

If your a music fan, this is an enjoyable way to spend some time. They try to cover a bit of every era and there are some fun interactive displays.

It is so cool to see ORIGINAL pieces from great artist at this place, the Grammy Museum LA Live really has a lot to offer to locals and visitors the collection of pieces are gorgeous, definitely a must to see and spend some time there, also seams that the photos are welcome

I always have the best time at the Grammy Museum downtown. It’s one that I frequent often, because of the many events and exhibits that are circulated. One of the best exhibits they’ve had was the Whitney Houston exhibit which featured many of her artifacts and costumes from throughout the 80s, 90s, and 00s. They currently are spotlighting Dolly Parton and her many costumes over the years. I also enjoy the frequent events that take place here. The Grammy Museum opens its doors to artists for small concerts, like the recent Thelma Houston experience. There are also film screenings and discussions with industry executives. I highly suggest grabbing tickets to an exhibit which interests you. It is a great place to start building your music knowledge, but more than that, it’s an opportunity to celebrate some of the best the music world has offered us. Five stars!

Visiting the Grammy Museum was an experience. Its full of amazing collections of Grammy memorabilia. Love the exhibits, interactive displays and the amazing collections of artist performance costumes. A also loved the behind the scene process to put together a successful show.

The Grammy Museum made me very happy. They have many different artist souvenirs. They also have some interactive sound booths and listening stations. It is a great museum for all ages. The exhibits are replaced regularly so it will be the place where you can return.

Went for a show in the very intimate 200 person capacity Clive Davis Theater, and it was amazing!! If you are lucky enough to ever grab tickets for an interview with an artist/band, you will love it. The sound is great, its very small so anywhere you sit, is a good view.

Very informative, very interactive. Not a lot of memorabilia as I thought it would have but well put together. Ill definitely go back the next time Im in LA.

We came here as tourists during Memorial Day weekend 2013. This is a great place to visit. Be prepared to spend at least 4 hours of your time here if you look at all the exhibits. Bring good walking shoes and a camera!

This is a great museum for music lovers. It takes about 2-3 hours if you take your time. There are plenty of videos, interactive exhibits, and memorabilia. The museum cover the beginning of music and the Grammys to now. They have special exhibits that change. The cost is $15 for adults which is well worth the quality. Some of the headphones you use to listen to exhibits dont work.

It was a very nice museum experience. The grammy award hall on the 4th floor was a great start. It has projections up on the walls, which creates a great immersive feel. The Nat King Cole exhibit was also superb. I found out things about him that were truly surprising. One thing that I thought was a nice touch was the fact that all of the outfits on display are put on real-sized mannequins, that really gives you a feel for how the celebrity is in person.

It is one of the best places for family outings as well as to take kids along. The place in itself is a knowledge hub and the various exhibits depict the features of natural environment.Last week , i went here with my family and the kids in the family had a lot of fun along with learning

I was fortunate enough to have been given tickets to the Grammy Museum by random strangers I met at a different venue. It is quite an overall experience, especially depending on how much of a music fan you are. I feel the selection of musicians, artifacts, and interactive experiences are varied. Its also quite interesting how the museum starts at the top floor and you go down each level to a different space. I would personally recommend.

Came to visit an artist from Long Beach during their city sound events. I would always walk past this place and never really payed attention to it until the artist @heydeon was invited to perform here. The whole area was amazing and I was in awe the whole time. I appreciate the events put on as well as all the art they had around. Will definitely be coming back

I would highly recommend visiting the Grammy Museum once you’re in L.A. We truly enjoyed the experience and we were lucky to visit the Back Street Boys Exhibition which was placed there temporarily during the summer period. (P.S. It will take you around an hour or two hours max. to go through the whole place).

I finally made it and just in time before the Dolly Parton exhibit closed. 3 floors of music history any music lover could appreciate. Interactive & fun.

Great place for the music lover. Similar to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but without as many instruments. Lots of videos of special Grammy moments.

For any music and arts lovers, this a MUST place to visit. The museum is well organized. The collections of interesting Grammy artist memorabilias is amazing. The artist costumes are fantastic. Lots of stuff from various eras of music. There are interactive displays as well.

Only visited one floor because I was invited to a private event. I could’ve spent several hours touring this place, so much history and a fun atmosphere! Took a few pictures to entice you...

This is rather unassuming building and entrance belies the treasures in store for you! Its absolutely fascinating. Its beautiful curated and has changing exhibits. It has interactive displays and instruments. This museum has something for everyone. I was not at all interested because I dont care about awards and award shows but my daughter wanted to go. Wow!!! Was I ever glad I went! Its about so much more than just awards and the award show. It selves deep into music and music history and covers all genres. Its a beautifully presented museum offering so much information about music and culture. The $13.00 entrance fee is a steal. There is also a cute gift shop with prices that are adorable. The staff is pleasant and laid back. They check your bag and have you walk through a metal detector when you enter so its very safe inside. Its also in the LA Live shopping area which is a beautiful, clean, and safe area. Dont miss it.

I just saw Jazz saxophonist Kirk Whalum tonight. He was incredible! His performance was very enjoyable. Since this place is normally closed on Tuesdays, I didnt get to see the exhibits in the galleries. It was open for this special event. Overall, this place is clean and well organized. I will be back soon.

One of my favourite museums in California, very interesting and interactive.

Its a great and fun museum to visit (especially for music lovers) and to learn about history of music and the Grammys. Many interactive exhibitions and historical artifacts from some of the greatest and most recognized artists of all genres. From time to time they change some of the exhibitions. Pricing is OK, and they have a variety of discounts. It is near Staples Center and Microsoft Theater, the area has nice restaurants and places to visit.

Went with the wife to check out the Grammy Museum. Neat display on Johnny Cash and his concerts at Folsom and San Quentin. My wife was very excited to see the Back Street Boys display. Overall the place looked a little on the empty side, definitely some treasures to see though.

Went to see the get animated invasion. It was a small portion of the museum but it was still cool to see all the artists and the clothes they used to wear on display and the history of music! Very informative.

Myself and some of my friends are big music fans. It was awesome be able to visit the Grammy Museum which housed a lot of history.My favorite part of the museum was the So So Def Records 25th Anniversary Exhibit. It was really great to see African-American artist being honored. I forgot how much So So Def contributed to the culture.I recommend spending about 1.5 to 2 hours while visiting.

Great venue. Small (200) seats and intimate. Really great place to enjoy a great performance. We have visited multiple times and will continue to do so. So great to have the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. Wonderful productions and opportunity to interact with performers and individuals in the field of music and movies.

I usually go here during the Thursday nightlife from 6-10pm. The tickets are only $15 during this time and is only for the 21+ crowd. The tickets are reasonably priced and I recommend buying the tickets online!

Ive only been here during the day and this past Thursday night was probably the best night to go. We went for their annual Big Bang Fundraiser gala and the place was decked out with an ice sculpture, lots of yummy food, several OPEN bars, a huge candy bowl area where you could fill up your own bags, a dance area, food trucks that served both cupcakes and wood fired pizza, and a DJ.

Informative & interesting museum to visit!

We had the BEST time visiting the Grammy Awards Museum. So much to see and do, so much history. Wow! Loved it. Glad I was able to give my daughters this experience and teach them about the history of music.

The Grammy Museum L.A. LIVE has some cool popular music relics and studio music experiences for visitors. It’s like the Grammy Museum in Nashville but a tad smaller. Level 2 was closed so only got to see two floors of memorabilia. Would’ve liked to purchased a basic Grammy Awards Museum men’s shirt but all that was left was XXL shirts:(

I really didnt know if I would enjoy this. I came here for the free museum day but I found that it would be worth general admission. Seeing iconic pieces of musical history from Ray Charles, Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash, Beyoncé, and Kris Kristofferson was so awesome. Whether you have bad feelings about a Michael Jackson or not, I feel that this was the best part of the museum. How could you not want to see the cost from Thriller or his iconic gloves. I really did love taking a trip through musical history in downtown LA!

I rated this museum lower than I think I normally would due to the main level on 3 being closed down. We were told theyre reinventing or remodeling it. The 2nd & 4th floor were filled with older pictures & videos of singers. Not really impressed.

IS THAT IT? On the day I visited the 3rd floor was closed for renovations. Upon entry the fee was reduced from $15 to $12 as a result. Was directed to go to Level 4 and work my way down. Level 4 was good, it had the kind of exhibits I had come to see; photos, memorabilia and videos. Level 2 was just a collection of photographs of music stars listing a few of their favourite songs. It was interesting but when I then went to Level 1, which was the entry floor plus shop I couldnt help but ask: is that it? The staff were not very friendly either hence the fairly low rating Im giving it.

Neat opportunity to see the history of the award, the artists, and the production. We were lucky enough to get to see the Nat King Cole and Amy Winehouse exhibits which included hand written letters and lyrics as well as artifacts including clothing and instruments. Definitely worth a stop!

Outstanding museum with great collection of famous musician who won in the pass in the Grammy. The story of music & music artist its very well represented. They still in a process add-on items but hopefully will see more in the future, well done I really enjoyed the Grammys museums.

I felt like a little kid looking at all the guitars and learning about our musical history. They need more hands on instruments though.

This place is great for music lovers. Its got some terrific exhibits with memorabilia from some of the performers, and it even has some interactive ones where you can play with​ instruments and mix music. Kids would be fine to take here, but theres a lot of info to be learned here, so if you want to suck up knowledge, come without kids.

Never heard of the Grammy museum before, until we saw a small ad by accident about the BSB exhibit in the museum, wish it had more of an advertisement about it everywhere around LA, it was very entertaining, it might be small for what you would expect but still has a lot to see and learn about , I only wished the gift shop had more memorabilia and unique items.A must visit for music fans.And a definite must visit for BSB fans but make sure you visit it before it ends, the BSB exhibit ends early September.

I was expecting more but maybe because the current baseball theme was not very interesting to me. Wouldnt make a trip just to visit this museum alone and glad I came when it was free admission.

For ME, this was a massive let down. The exhibits on display left much to be desired. I had heard how cool the Michael Jackson display was along with some other artists but most of the stuff that they had in there from artists was just so-so. I was surprised by the lack of content from some of the GREATS that you would expect to see in the Grammy Museum. Im only giving it two stars because I had such high expectations going into it and it was not at all what I was told to expect. Maybe that is my fault. I just didnt feel like it was worth the money. For me, it was just very lacking in content. But again, that might just be me. My parents both felt let down as well though so Im not sure. The Johnny Cash exhibit was really cool.

This place is great. 3rd floor I believe, it was under construction. So limited to only two floors. But its great for inspiration for aspiring artist and composers and just anyone in the arts. Definitely recommend to visit it once.

Enjoyed it. Lots of history, memorabilia, videos, etc. One floor our of 3 was closed, a bit too much of music-in-baseball for my tastes on the main floor. But all in all worth the price of admission. I liked it. My wife loved it.

Rather small and expensive place with exchanged exhibits. It is not much of interest in case you are not specifically interested in particular exhibits, costumes, Grammy award ceremony and recording booths. Museum does not have its own parking so one should use public transit or add a substantial sum to the visit budget.

Nice collection of historical information and musical relics. Enjoyed coming here and will recommend to visitors. 4 stars because of the high price of parking at LA live.

Really great Museum so mucb musical knowledge if you love music you will lvoe this plave so much history etc. The special exhibits really make it stand out ..the coltrane exhibit and so so def exhibit are outstanding ..the whole second floor is the so so def and its loud like a club and a party ..its so awesome if you grew up in the 90s its like a nice trip down memory lane

I went here a few years back as a tourist and enjoyed this museum. We walked up from our hotel and spent the afternoon roaming around.I don’t remember it being very busy and it was fun seeing all the costumes (I love performance attire, I think it’s so cool).I was a nice little music history lesson.

Great interactive modern museum with lots if music history. The Clive Davis venue seats 200 and is my new favorite place as a music venue.

Bummer. We Came here when our kids were little and have good memories. This time the whole thing was closed except for one floor because an evening show was coming up with Lana Del Rey. The exhibits we could see were about baseball and music? Glad we had a free pass from staying at the JW Marriott close by. I would’ve been super bummed if we paid for this.

This was such a great experience. The location is such a dream. Its so beautiful and full of amazing places to visit. The museum was so amazing. You can buy stuff at the gift shop for great prices and they even have a touchable exhibit, which by the way is amazing.

If you love art and music , this is the place to go . I’ve deepened my appreciation for music after visiting this place I loved it

I was expecting a better experience, more memorabilia. The price was good for the experience we did get. The best part was the short doc about the Tina Turner & Beyonce Grammy 08 performance.

History of GRAMMYS. You can see the each version of actual awards at the entrance. Artifacts from your favorites. Including Michael Jackson. You can listen Grammy Winning songs. Watch the ceremonies from the past. Enjoy sparkling atmosphere with background music. They explain each type of music with samples like a music encyclopedia.

It was fun depending on how much you like specific artists. I went with someone for the backstreet boys exhibit and it was nice overall. I was looking for Twenty One Pilots Grammy win picture and it was nowhere to be found (even though they took their pants off to accept the win!) Even the computers where you can search up past winners wasnt updated past 2015, and they won in 2017!

If you are a MUSIC fan, grammy lover, its definitely worth a visit! Only 15usd!

A nice museum to check out, especially for music lovers or an activity to do on a rainy day. A lot of the exhibits are interactive and the museum itself has collected a great amount of historical artifacts regarding all genres of music. The pricing itself is decent, they do offer a variety of discounts. However, this museum is probably best suited for those who are using travel card packages such as Go Los Angeles! where admission to this museum is already included.

I walked out asking myself is that it? im glad i didnt pay for this experience as i came on a free museum day there is cool memorabilia and things to see but it just didnt seem like it was enough for me. i hope they are able to add more pieces as there is so much more music history they can touch on in my opinion
