The Broadway landmark is beautiful and atmospheric, but maybe the the most fascinating thing about it is the people who have been associated with it since 1893. A number of them have gone the extra mile to ensure the Bradbury survives and thrives for future generations, and it gives us hope to explore these stories of hard work, love and faith.

I recently took a dive down the Bradbury Building rabbit hole. The Bradbury Building supposedly is the oldest commercial building in the Downtown Los Angeles which opened in 1893. The building is a popular tourist attraction. The Bradbury Building is also an iconic and popular building appearing in an abundant amount of movies and tv shows.

Be aware... as of 10/30/20, the building interior is closed to the public due to COVID-19. So if you are making the trip downtown to see inside, realize Google maps is wrong saying it’s open.Otherwise a beautiful example of architecture that was featured in Blade Runner.

For the fans of Blade Runner, it’s a must see! It was the set for many scenes for the film on this old building that has a unique architecture. Although, you cannot walk all over the building because it still works and people still use it. But if you’re visiting Downtown LA, it’s definitely a place you have to walk in. It’s also free if you’re wondering.

It is a hidden gem in the middle of a busy road. Cross the street from the food market and here you will find a breath-taking interior. There isnt really that much to do, as you cant go further than the ground floor, but if you like historic buildings, just make a small stop here.

I love Bladerunner, so I had to visit this building. Even if I hadnt seen it, I would want to because this architecture is mind blowing. Youre able to climb one set of stairs and get a better view, but I think the best angles were from the base. Its across the street from the Grand Central Market and a lovely little stop.

Absolutely worth a visit is you love architecture and/or history. You might not be able to explore very far up into the building as the stairways may be roped off but what is still available for viewing is spectacular. Its also not an insanely busy (tourist) spot and the traffic that does come in, comes in - takes their pic and leaves... So youll find yourself by yourself if your patient.

Ive had the Bradbury Building bookmarked for years and we finally got to stop in yesterday. This is one of those historic places in Downtown L.A. that has been featured in several films over the years, namely Blade Runner. Theres even an informational plaque about it on one of the walls in the lobby. However, I dont remember the Bradbury from that movie. I remember it from 500 Days of Summer, one of my favorite films starring Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Leavitt. Anyhoooo, the Bradbury Building is a National Historic Landmark Building and you can feel how special it is when you enter. The patterned tile floor, the wrought-iron elevators, and the gorgeous skylight make you realize why this site is a treasure. While its free to see, visitors can only go as far as the first floor landing, but it is still a worthwhile trip to make and Im happy that we finally did.

Amazing!! Im a big Blade Runner fan, so always wanted to visit the Bradbury building which is the home of JF Sebastian in the movie. Well the movie is very darkly lit, so very little of the buildings beauty is seen. Its an impressive mix of materials, marble, wrought iron, glass, wood, and 2 kinds of brick. If youre there on a sunny day watch how the sunlight shines through the translucent marble on the stairwell landings. It is free and open to the public 9-5.
