Amazing museum with great history on LAX and aviation. DC3 in the lot but its not in great condition, not because the museum staff dont want to do anything. Lots of uniforms everywhere from way back. Also have an amazing view of the airfield with live radio scanner. If you have specific historical items you want to buy you might be able to ask Patrick if they have it.

Museum is small but has a great variety of very interesting artifacts! The staff was also very friendly and informative. They also let us take a quick look inside one of their vintage aircrafts. I like the fact that the museum is actually inside the runway so you can see all the planes taking off and landing just within a few feet away from you. I will be definitely be coming here again!

If you get a chance to visit the museum it’s well worth it. They have so many interesting artifacts and you get to see the airplanes at a very short distance. The director of the museum also mentioned they have an LAX bus tour the first Thursday of the month from 10:00-11:00 but call in advance just to make sure. Would be a shame to let this museum go to waist. I would spoil the visit if I mentioned anything else, so I communicate to all locals and tourist to visit you won’t be disappointed.

Fascinating, fantastic, and fun Museum on airplane travel that is family friendly. Step back in time when air travel was a pleasure and full of wonderful service. See all the lovely designer Airline steward clothing and paraphernalia that was available to clients in the past. Many model aircraft displays depicting the history of Passenger flights. An informative display on space travel was a delightful surprise. The staff was very well informed and fun to talk to. Flight simulators are available to students which is super cool!My suggestions to help Museum are.....1. Advertise! Advertise! Advertise!2. Get in on the tourist brochures.... Like the El Segundo map guide or other tourist oriented Maps or pamphlets. Get a pamphlet out to all of the airport terminals, hotels and restaurants that have tourist displays or boards. I also recommend you to check them out so you know what people look for. Offer a coupon to attract visitors, tourist always like to save money, even if it is on a donation basis.3. See if LAX airport can put in a small display to attract visitors to your Museum, and have a shuttle available for passengers that arrived in the airport to visit the museum. This will make easier access for people who do not have cars or have a short stay.4. Get in touch with other small museums like the Automobile Driving Museum (ADM). Learn how they make their museums work in terms of getting donations at the door (the ADM is very good at this). You can also form a partnership with them for dual attraction tickets. Find ways to help each other out!5. Get a flashier sign out front so people know youre there. Its kind of hidden. Perhaps one at each Street entrance to the museum.Best of Luck!

Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great way to spend the afternoon. Free parking is available, however it is difficult to access without a car. A big collection of aviation related memorabilia, with many aircraft models and informative and interactive displays to see, as well as collections of old crew uniforms. A great view out onto the LAX apron by the freighter terminal, as well as access to ATC transmissions and a beautiful old DC3. A must visit if you have some time around LAX and have an interest in aviation.

I am so glad I found this museum! The staff are wonderful and gave us a great guided tour of the museum. There is so much history here!! There are lots of great small exhibits on the history of aviation, lots of artifacts and fantastic views of the runway. If you get a chance, check out the old plane they have outside. I can not wait to come for my next visit!

I love CalAcademy -- Im even a member. I dislike going there when it is full of screaming kids -- and it was slightly better being there when it was full of tipsy adults! Feline Nightlife was fantastic -- Adam the Cat Man from Hoodcats was DJing, CatTown was in the house and there were exotic kitties being shown (baby black leopard baby baby baby!!!).

Flight Path Learning Center is a great location to soak in a wide range of aviation history. There is a great deal of commercial aircraft memorabilia, including pins, luggage, suits and uniforms. A slew of models show a wide range of plane and planes types. The center is made of of many rooms, making it a delight to explore each and take your time. They also have a historic DC-3 outside, which you can go inside, sit down in - even in the cockpit! This is a learning center, and to further support that they offer Flight Sim training, with an impressive number of computers to support students.Pro tip - take some cash with you. Although its free, they do ask for donations. Take some cash so you can give to this great center.

This is a hidden gem in Los Angeles. You will learn about the history of commercial flight as well as about the history of LAX. They have an old Douglas DC-3 with corporate interior. You can go inside and see what traveling was like back then. You also get to go outside onto the tarmac, which gives you great views of the airport and planes taking off or taxing to the terminal. They have a ton of old airline uniforms on display. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They explain you everything if you have questions. Impressive is also the big library inside with tons of books about aviation and even operation manuals of aircrafts.

My husband and I visited the Flight Path Museum over the holidays and enjoyed it so much that we returned again today with the in-laws.There are so many reasons to visit this wonderful learning center! The history of LAX is presented along with memorabilia from the various airlines that have flown and continue to fly into the airport. The museum displays a DC-3 which was first operated by TWA and then, Union Oil. You can actually step inside and take a look, but because it is on airport property, a museum volunteer will escort you onboard. The volunteers have all worked in the airline industry and they are friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about sharing their love of LAX. Along with a front row seat to the busy runways, the best thing about the museum is that it is free! Although the price is right, dont let that stop you from making a donation to keep this gem up and running!Definitely a recommended place to visit!!!
